The Mansion’s property is beautiful. However, I would recommend staying on the immediate property. I would NOT recommend walking on the trails. It’s not safe for people or children. I was walking with my sister when a dog attacked and bit her. The dog then tried to bite me and I had to use my purse to prevent it. The owner took her sweet time to contain her dog. I strongly believe that people need to Be Aware that the dog walkers DO NOT use a leash. I saw so many dogs walking without a leash. It’s out of control. Really sad because it’s a pretty place. I would love to be able to walk on the trail without the fear of a dog attacking me. The park has to seriously in force that dogs need to be on a leash and only use the available dog park.
Good for jogging here around the trails. Golf-disk course. Lots of off-leash dogs. The playground is off the main parking lot and includes a tot-size slide structure and bigger kid structure. There is a huge ivy like trees with intertwined branches forming a dome and you can wonder in inside. Large lawn in front of the mansion for picnics and a gravel path circling the large lawn for walking/jogging alike. Grateful to have this leafy park.
Cranbury is a great park for walking trails and disc golf. Dogs are welcome on the trails and people are mostly good about keeping their dogs under control. My main complaint is that the daily non-resident parking fee is excessive at $10. It should be priced no more than $5.
A serene place to spend quiet time with friends and family. The vast expanse of the park is perfect to have some personal times under the open sky.The park is also used for community, social gathering, marriage ceremony etc.If you are in the mood for a short trail, you can actually go for walk inside relatively light forest area.Next time bringing my kids.
A gem of a park. Norwalk residents are very fortunate to have this refuge from a sometimes weary world. City should strongly consider rehabilitating the mansion a main attraction of the park along with a disk golf course, myriad walking trails, great hiking opportunities for dogs and their human companions and of course the dog park, too.
Doggy-friendly; off leash friendly.
This park is beautiful. Stunning really. And plenty of options for dogs! This is a well know dog park with areas designated for off-leash social interactions.
Stunning place. Full of history.
Great park, wheels friendly also good for family
We love this mansion and its surroundings its peaceful in season theres restrooms open picnic areas so you can bring some tasty vittles if you wish play frisbygolf hike the wooded trail or just hang out under the. Monkey Tree ...
Great disc golf course
Nice grounds, has Frisbee golf on site
Very nice place to visit. The trails were well marked. We had a great day with our dogs.
Nice and decent place!Could not see the mansion though due to some event.. and the manager of the mansion was quite rude.. dint let us take pictures that day.
Beautiful grounds. I enjoy taking walks on the trails also great for jogging and taking the dog out for a run. Fun playground for kids... Ample parking
So many trails to choose from and a great place to bring your dog. A great place any time of the year honestly.
Beautiful park and old home, with one of the coolest trees Ive ever seen
Under construction right now, fixing the chimney.
Great dog park! This place is such a gift to have in Norwalk. Plus the frisbee golf. Kids love the playgrounds and the hiking trails.
Nice hiking trails. Away from traffic feels so nice and nature like. Everyone is very nice. Expensive parking.
I walk in this beautiful park every day! We love the place so much that our son and daughter-in-law had their wedding there! The ceremony was inside the giant weeping beech! Comfortably sat over 120 guests!Amazing!
Great for dogs
Its a beautiful park with well marked trails. Beautiful oak and birch trees and other tress and shrubs, home to variety of birds. The park is pet friendly and lots of space for kids to play. Parking is free only for Norwalk residents (parking fee for non residents from May to Oct)
Beautiful grounds! I was here for a wedding. Highly skilled staff, except they plate with food touching.
Great place for a walk.
This place is great. Nice big park for the kids to play dogs welcome and disc golf course. Cool .
Beautiful and relaxing. Great for kids and dogs. Walking trails or walking track. Kids playground. Frisbee tennis.
I can’t understand how this place has nearly 5 stars. We took our dog there this past Sunday since as per the reviews it was a “dog friendly” park. Instead we found ourselves being harassed by this old gentleman in a white car who supposedly worked there. From the minute we walked in until the minute we left, this old man kept telling us our dog was not allowed in most of the park. The signs in this park are not clear enough. HE WARNED US WITH A $90 fine just because our dog ran in the grass for less than a minute. We later learned that this man harasses all dog owners according to another couple who witnessed the man yelling at us constantly. Not worth your time and your money. Definitely not a pet friendly park. Hopefully they give this guy a warning since we are not the only ones to complain about him. Stay away from this park if you can, especially if you plan to bring your dog here. Harassment is simply not ok.
Best dig park, park, hiking trails & disc golf course!! Something for everyone, and every dog, and gorgeous Fall foliage!
Had a magnificent tour with the family. Like stepping into Rose Red by Stephen King
Great disc golf course well maintained and updated. $10 parking in season
Nice and peaceful. Part of the park allows dogs. For the most part, no issues !
Dog park with expansive hiking trails and frisbee golf course
A great place to walk and/or sut and read or journal.
Dogs run the place. Its terrible. My three year old was in the toddler play area sat 03/16/19 and a loose dog came and ate her food out of her hand. My daughter not only had no food but is scared of dogs and that park now. The owner of the dog was nowhere to be found. Im disappointed in the parks and rec for not enforcing leash law on picnic and playground areas. Dogs should be leashed!!
Nice park with trails and disc golf course. Dog friendly park with lots of dogs off leash. Didnt go into the mansion but it looked beautiful!
Great hiking trails and dogs are welcome!
Love walking the dog off leash on the trails
Tough disc golf course with little variety. Id only go when the parking is free. Beautiful park otherwise.
Playground. Pavilion. Paths for hiking. Very quiet.
I was dog sitting and this where I brought the dog!!! Nice clean park for dogs and people there were very nice!!!
Love this place. Trees and trails. Great dog park or just a nice walk in the woods. Multiple paths to walk and a few places to just sit and relax. There are two water fountains for dogs and people. Also trash cans are in a lot of different places so you can throw the dog bags away. Enjoy the time and being outside.
It was a great place, but it needs vendors machine.
As one of the oldest and most established courses in Connecticut, Cranbury Park Disc Golf Course offer challenging but fair lines on most holes. With 2 sets of baskets and multiple pin locations available on every hole, this course could be the one with the most variability in the state. Other park users tend to ignore park rules that state that dogs must be leashed at all times when not in the dog park (Hole 15). This can be a distraction, but as long as you are patient, other park visitors are typically considerate.
This is my favorite dog park. The dogs love running through the woods and I love the great trail. A gem in Norwalk.
My friend had his wedding here. Its absolutely beautiful.
So beautuful! Great place for doggies and families!!
I love bringing my kids here because its never crowded and theres so much space for them to roam, wander, and explore. Theres a small playground, but we come for the paths, the trails, the garden, and the big tree with its branches forming a dome. Lots of beautiful nature to experience.
Great park with some nice trails for a short walk. A lot of dogs and they dont have to be leashed. Minutes from anywhere in Norwalk. Really nice views
Disc Golf course is nice just watch out for dogs.
Great place to take the kid, two parks, walking trails and well maintained.
The park is very well kept and beautiful in the spring. The mansion itself is gorgeous and would make a wonderful venue for any grand occasion. It has less playground equipment than some of the more metropolitan areas, and it focuses more on trail walking than anything else.
Little League picnic was a family party for all, great time
Always clean, safe and family-family. Just beautiful.
I got a parking ticket for $60.00. Watch out! It seems isolated but there is a private agency that gives out the tickets. The police have nothing to do with it.
Beautiful and peaceful. Parking is 10 dollars
Simply a very enjoyable place
Beautiful and enchanting mansion & grounds. Memorial benches plaques and trees are nicely placed around the large grass field, that is always well kept.
This is an all around great park. Its well maintained and really pretty throughout the year. The facilities include picnic pavilions, miles of wooded trails, a playground, a regulation disc golf course, community theatre and dog park.Gallaher mansion, located inside the park, hosts weddings and other events under its tent and around the terrace. Roses and other flowers keep the garden in bloom until fall.
Great multi-use park set in the woods. Many walking/biking trails. Frisbee golf. Multi acre open field. Picnic areas. Dog friendly. Norwalk parking pass required seasonally for free parking.
This should be 5 woofs. Its Its a great place to walk the dogs...they ...all 3 ...BEG for us to take them.
Great park for kids, dogs, and everyone else. Huge field, long trails, and Frisbee golf.
Very nice
Best place for your dog to play or enjoy the trails

Great dog park
Nice place just for a few minutes to walk
Excellent Location beautiful q
Free Parking, Playground, dog park, covered picnic benches, 168 acres in trails and a beautiful 18 hole Disc Golf Course! Oh and it has a gilded age mansion with a 20 acre lawn!Only in CT do dog parks get this nice!
I love this park. Great hiking paths. Very peaceful.
I was only at the park. It is well kept. Several picnic benches in a covered area.
Cranbury Park in the Gallagher estate is a beautiful piece of property located between Norwalk and Wilton. It offers hiking trails, dog walking areas, frisbee golf, and plenty of parking. The Stone Mansion on the property makes a picturesque scene for a wedding or other important event. There is a small Chapel on the property as well and the summer months there is generally a tent, and theres also a huge Pavilion available for public use at anytime. During the summer months residents with a residential pass get in free all other visitors to the park there is a $5 charge.
Send wedding here great spot..
Beautiful place and beautiful surroundings. There is a great dog park with a lot of trails.
A beautiful location
Cranbury Park has a great disc golf course that’s very well maintained. If disc golf isn’t your thing, the park also has a nice trail to hike and walk your dog.
Great place to bring your pooch and to escape into nature. Following the winding natural paths to a dog park in the center. There is also a Frisbee golf course.
I love this place. once I go there I will have a piece of mind.
Great place for hiking or walking the dog.
Excellent trail. Great place to walk a dog.
Very peaceful but lots of people sometimes
I bring The Boys (my two 70lb poodles) to the doggie park here almost daily ... We walk the trails and just chill!
We love how clean this park always is. Such a wonderful perk to being a Norwalk resident! Great walking trails, and fun little playground for the toddler!
Great place for a ramble through the woods. Pretty quiet in the morning hours, a nice breath of country.
