Their senior citizen ticket taker was NOT customer friendly. I had been looking forward to seeing a movie by myself and printed out my ticket online, and gave it to the ticket booth to exchange for a ticket. I went over to the guy taking tickets to go in to see my movie. As I was trying to exchange my ticket, he started barking at me Where is the OTHER TICKET? I said I dont know, that was the ONLY ticket the ticket booth gave me in exchange for my printout!He kept saying I needed two tickets, or the other half and I was pretty fed up by this time, and ended up yelling at him This was ALL I WAS GIVEN! I said Do you want me to walk all the way back there and find out what that guy did with the other half?Then he suddenly says No, no need! after probably realizing finally that a woman my age is not going to run in and try to see a show free from a ticket dropped on the floor or whatever this weird guy thought with NO MANNERS. It seemed he enjoyed trying to ruin my fun day in this theatre for the first time after just moving here to Norwalk.

This theater is newer and has fantastic seats! The bar area is a plus! Bathrooms were super clean. The employee who took my ticket was very knowledgeable about the theater. However, the employees at the concession stand were engaged in personal conversations that were unprofessional. Hence the 4 star rating

Have been trying for 3 weeks to sign up as a criterion member on their website. Each time it kicks back saying sorry that cannot be processed right now. Buying tickets online works sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t which is so frustrating!!I went to the Norwalk location and Brandon not only had me signed up for a car in no time but added my receipt to my card.Love the theater but their website doesn’t work!

One of the best Bowtie locations. Plenty of free parking so you dont have to deal with paying extra fees like you do in SoNo or Stamford.This is one of the updated locations with assigned seating and the brilliant recliners. Most of these are fine to see the screen, though the front row can get a bit iffy.The staff is friendly and the food is decent for what it is. Tuesdays are some of the best days to go with lower costs for tickets, popcorn, and drinks.

Clean and definitely up to date. I love the amount of space and comfort of their automatic reclining chairs. The popcorn varieties are surprisingly good, but the main course food is overpriced and mediocre. The other snack type foods are better but still expensive. When I was offered to have it taken to my seat, I had to go back 30 minutes later and get it myself. Overall its pricey but a great experience to enjoy the newly updated theaters.

Overall pretty good. Comfy reclining seats, good sound and projection systems. Reasonable priced tickets. The food is mediocre, next time I will stop at the McDonalds across the street first.

Great food, amazing popcorn, and super friendly staff. I️ am glad Bow Tie decided to revamp this place. Everything is great. Saw The Post tonight and I️ had an issue with purchasing tickets on fandango. The manager Dominic was very nice and helpful, he resolved the issue immediately. Amazing. New seating was amazing. The only reason i didnt give 5 stars was the attitude of one of the bartenders.The first bartender was a tall younger girl who was very polite(I missed her name so thats all I have to describe her). We asked for Manhattans and, knowing it was just a movie theater bar, were grateful and tipped generously for her effort (Excellent Manhattan too).When we came back for more her coworker (whos name I also missed but shes older and shorter) heard us ask for them. She immediately said (in front of us and with a good bit of attitude) you made that for them!? To which the first bartender replied yes, I know how to make it, we have the ingredients, and I didnt see why not logical, right??Well the attitude of the second bartender only continued (non verbally, through facial expressions etc) and we left. Whether or not she agreed with the first bartenders decision she should have at least waited until we left to get an attitude.

So much fun to recline in these giant, comfy chairs and have food delivered to your own, cool little table top. Full bar, too. I recommend the eggplant fries. Decadent treat with a nice glass of red wine.

This place used to be a great place for watching movies. Theyre doing a renovation that is putting in new fancy recliners that you would think would make watching a movie much better, but it doesnt. They dont go far back enough. They make you reserve the seats. So if youre running late and everyone took all the good seats, just dont bother going because youll either be stuck in the very front or the way back. My back and my wifes back were killing us at the end of the movie. To top everything off because all these fancy seats are coming they think that jacking up the prices on the concession stand is the best bet. Not a good idea in my opinion. Youre already paying way too much for a movie ticket. Now you have to pay $4.50 for a water bottle. No thanks. In my opinion this place is going down hill. Call me cheap, but I rather just wait for the movie to come out on red box then to go spend so much money on a 2hr movie. Your best bet if you want to keep watching movies there is to go on a Tuesday where its half the price. Unless they decide to take that away. Only time will tell....

Comfortable seats, friendly staff, great sound system. No fault of the theatre- the guy who sat next to us- had the worst, permeating cologne or smell? I had to breathe thru my shirt Covering my nose until, unfortunately, we all got accustomed to it. Then he munched popcorn loudly the ENTIRE 3 hour long movie UGGH!

At first I was impressed by this place, but after going a few more times, Im much less impressed. The screens and viewing angle are bad. To get enough of a viewing angle, you have to be fairly close to the screen, but because the screen is high off the ground and the seats are not raised, you end up looking up at the screen.

Everything was okay but the food and drinks are extremely overpriced and have small portions. Not only that but our food was late At least they improved the seats.

As a heads-up they are a cinema where you reserve your seats and the reservations are enforced.Otherwise they are quite nice but small cinema. The seats are reclining and you can get something decent and more substantial to eat to eat and drink outside of the usual concession stand food.

The movie experience is great because the seats are super comfy (the reclining kind with a tray for food). However, if you get there after the lights have been turned off it is incredibly challenging to find the right seats. Try to get there early so you can read the numbers on the chairs.

The bathrooms were clean...the soap smells good and isnt watered down or industrial smelling like a lot of other theaters...The staff were warm, welcoming and accommodating. The manager happened to be near our register while ordering and fulfilled a special request for us. In fact, my son has decided that he prefer to go to THIS theater over the AMC theaters we normally go to...Were new residents of CT and just about each day were assured that this was our best move...#BowTieUltimateTheaters

WORST STAFF EVER!! is disappointing and sad to know that when you go to the movies YOU CAN GET ROB. I was there Saturday to watch a late movie and I forgot my purse and when I tried going back for it all doors were locked that wasnt the problem the problem was that the next morning when my purse was pick up all my money was GONE! theater #1 was pretty much empty no one was seated near me so I am sure whoever was the staff working there stole it what a shame!

As a family we had the worst experience at this place . As a mother I do not recommend it. I went with my husband and my two girls to watch Dumbo and there were two adult women drinking wine in a childrens movie and they went to complain because one of my babies clapped and laughed at the movie. The manager took us out of the theater threatening to call the police. WORST MANAGER EVER!!!

I have been going to this movie theater for over 15 years and tonight was my worst experience ever. I had brought my daughter and her friend to watch crazy rich Asians. We have waited about a month to come and watch the movie because the seats were always taken. Tonight the case was the same. I was surprised. Row A was completely available and row B has only 3 seat available. The rest of the theater seating showed full in blue. So I took the 3 seats In Row B. We were assured that the seats recline all the way back. Well since row B is second row from the screen we were not able to watch the movie comfortablely.My head was tilted to the side the enntire movie. We have noticed that the movie theater was not full as we were shown when purchasing the tickets. We were falsely told that the entire showing was full except for the 3 seats that we took. When questioning the staff (very upset) I was told that corporate reserves the seats so no one sits in them. But they don’t tell anyone that he had said to me. And then to have a good night? The entire move showing was empty. From Row D and back there was maybe only about 10 people max. This doesn’t make sense! How do you make money if you don’t sell the tickets for people to actually watch a movie. You purposely falsely advertise it’s full to sell the crappy seating in the front? My neck hurts from watching this movie! I will let others know on what goes on. This is my starting point. I have never been on social media and thanks to bow tie on Westport ave I’m giving my first bad review and will spread the word. NO STARS EARNED!

Barcaloungers, good popcorn, and drinks if you want em: what could be better? This has become our favorite local venue for movies: it might be a few dollars more expensive, but the chairs are ridiculously comfortable, theres a certain relief in being able to choose ones seats in advance, its Dolby surround sound. My only small gripe is that the screens arent huge, so it might not be the ideal place for a grand-scale movie like Black Panther or something similar.

Updated:There are only six theaters in this newly renovated movie theater.all of the theaters that have electronic reclining sofas and when you buy your ticket you also reserve your seat. There are also now food and alcohol options for movie goers. I recently saw movie in the front row and it was still enjoyable.

Very comfortable seating that can have you lay back down and each chair is very comfortable and even has an opening leg rest. You get to pick your seat. And you have an assigned seat. Everyone that works here is friendly and helpful.

The theater is renovating the lobby which caused slow, long lines to buy tickets. The candy/popcorn bar is reduced in size by at least by 3/4, more long lines. There is nowhere to sit, cement floors, and in general a mess. However, once inside the theater it was superb with wide recliner seats with trays and cupholders. The best!!

One of my least favorite places to see a movie locally. The parking is awkward at best and often overcrowded, the lobby is tiny and very bare, way too small for peak hours, the screen and seating okay but not much to shout about, though the sound system was better than many when it first opened. Snacks are pedestrian at best. Youd think that being around such swanky towns it would do a better job of appealing. Id rather travel further to larger and better facilities.

I have no idea why they got rid of regular theater seats and put in all these big recliners. And, they got rid of the one line for the concessions! Now were back to you could be on one line with someone in front with a huge order and itll take you longer than everybody on all of the other lines! Personally, I like being with a big crowd of people in a movie theater. This is more like being home and watching a movie but with a bunch of strangers. Weird.

Movie selection is average. Polite staff. Food service is lacking.
