These guys have never heard of the term “customer service”. If you are even able to get them to help you they seem annoyed that they have to pay attention to you. Just have to look at the response to reviews from management to see what kind of people these are. There are plenty of other shops around that have polite and knowledgeable staff. Better off driving by it.

Wanted to check out this place and check out some bows to get into archery. I guess they dont want new customers because signs were posted all over the door that only permit holders and exempt people were allowed in.I understand there may have been restrictions because of COVID a few months ago, but not any now. I guess they just have enough business from the usuals they dont want new customers.Update, owners response to negative reviews makes me happy I never went in or called lol. To the owner, take some communication courses. ;)

Staff is friendly but the owner is yelling at people(customers) in his store, Not a very comfortable place, it was definitely the owner! This was Right before the pandemic kicked inI suggest M2 tactical right down the street!

Excellent group of guys. Went to stock up a week into this pandemic and they were extremely helpful from start to finish. Supplies were limited but they did their best to make sure everyone was taken care of. I will definitely be giving them all of my business in the future.

Staff here is awesome. Bill is hands down one of the best instructors ever. Pricing on everything is fair and honest.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I’ve purchased many firearms from them and have used the range regularly for over 20 years. Dave at the range is knowledgeable, safety conscious, and always friendly and gracious. I believe in supporting local businesses, especially firearms and range services for obvious reasons.

A decent shop with a bare-bones range, but its the staff that keeps bringing me back!! Dave is always friendly and accommodating, and Tom is knowledgeable and super helpful. Recently I introduced my nephew, whos an archer, to shooting. Had a great time, tried a few guns, and he showed me the art of archery. He had a problem with his bow and Tom went out of his way to not only fix the issue, but noticed some imbalance in the bow and adjusted it for him! I found the staff exceptionally rude on the phone and in person. I happened to be in Norwalk visiting friends, so I called ahead of time from my car to ask about hours and inventory. The man on the phone answered my first question and as I was asking a subsequent question, he hung up on me. Giving them the benefit of the doubt as miscommunication is common on the phone, I stopped by regardless. As I walked in the door, without a greeting or anything, I was asked you got a permit? I said no, I called and was intending to look at archery supplies. The man at the door told me we cant sell you anything without a permit, and literally pointed at the door. LOL. Obviously no permit is required for archery so I suppose its a store policy, but considering the unpleasant manner of both staff members I had interacted with, I didnt particularly want to ask why they had the policy and certainly didnt want to do business with them.But I did find a lovely selection at another nearby store

I have been going to this place since the previous owner. Way better now. Knowledgable staff who, you sometimes have to wait for but it;s worth is. Remember, we gun folks tend to like to talk and go on and an and it can be hard for a staff member to know when someone is there to. buy or just jawbone for a while. When I am there I usually know what I want, get it and get out. Id rather support this type of business than the big box places and the prices are close. I recommend highly.

Poor customer service, lack of communication skills

I’ve always had great customer service here at FCFAA, contrary to many reviews. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable when approached or asked questions.I’ve shot here and rented firearms many times, they have well kept lanes and the other shooters have always been good about sweeping up there brass.I also took my safety course for CT concealed carry here and William was very attentive, knowledgeable and experienced. Small classroom setting was great, would definitely recommend.

Picked up a DLD other and a can from here recently. They had a demo unit in the range for me to try first with a suppressor. Large selection of others and they gave me a great price, beating the other stores in the area by quite a bit. The best part was the kiosk, form 4 took 10 minutes. Now the long wait for the feds.

Poor customer service, commitments not kept, owner views customers as an irritation.

Fully automatic machine-guns for rent make this place awesome... the range time will cost however this is the only range in town an to be fair its worth the price... employees are good an selection is good. 5 stars because they sell suppressors an have fully automatic staples for rent

Great store! I taught my kids how to shoot there. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always a pleasant experience. Great location. It takes allot for me to rate 5 stars but in this case I feel it is warranted.

Great place, love my new kimber 1911!! The buying process was easy and the owner and his co-worker where extremely helpful. From helping me select the perfect gun to fit my budget and have the feel and caliber that I was looking for! Even showed me how to disassemble and reassemble my gun after I bought it! I have been going to this store since I got my pistol permit always very knowledgeable staff and make me feel right at home there. Even after moving 45 minutes away when Im looking for a new gun or want to go to the range I always go here.

I have found gun store guys to be either a tell it like it is or I really want to make a sale group. These guys are tell it like it is and I like it.Their comments about my S&W Bodyguard is a piece of crap only re-enforced our already issues we had with the gun ... not the most fun to shoot gun; but is easily concealed. I had bought that gun from a I really want to make a sale salesman elsewhere.So some of the guys might not be the most personable, some are very friendly. Both tell it like it is.I highly recommend this business for sales & quality of the range.

I stopped in to buy my first pistol. I had visited Bobs unpainted furniture and gun exchange an hour earlier. Wow, what a difference. The guy at Bobs dreary dungeon was some young dude who had no interest in showing me anything relevant (and I was ready to buy!). The guy at FCFA was superb! Understood what I was looking for and showed me relevant stuff. The store is bright and airy and Chris was super knowledgeable.Cant wait to show up and practice with my new Browning!

Great store and range, I have bought all my guns here and the employees are very helpful. Over the past few years the range has become more and more updated and the selection of rentals has increased. I went there today and you are now allowed to rent full auto machine guns! An Mp-5 or an AK-74!! My friend and I rented the MP-5 and it was an amazing time, could not stop smiling. Would recommend the machine guns to anyone who likes fun...and guns.

These guys took over Hiller and are doing a great job. They usually have a good supply of bulk ammo which is awesome. Expensive range fees but they have a monopoly on shooting ranges in the area, so you gotta pay to play.

Expensive, the guy in the range asking too many question and he do not let me used my ammo,,,, bad, ..I will never comeback

A gem in a location surrounded by some less than appealing firearm shops. This is my go to before stocking up for the migratory bird season.It is worth just stopping by to look around.

I went in looking 4 a pistol a week or 2 ago.....stood at counter for 20 min but staff ignored me even tho there was only 1 other person in store... they were all either looking at there computer or tlaking to eachother and didnt even make eye contact... finally the big guy w/ the beard at counter finally got to me and he seemed annoyed i was even there. didnt know what i was looking for but he was totally unhelpful n very rude. ended up getting a browning hipower for a great price in stamford instead, i love it. but this was the first and last time ill visit this store

Great place to go shooting - nice range, very convenient. Billy also helped me set up my new bow and was very patient showing me how to line everything up properly. Always recommend it to friends.

Very unwelcoming staff. Was told it is only their policy that shooters need a permit but didnt explain any other details. Being prior military I could probably shoot better than anyone that works there and I need a permit to use your range? No thanks. I was certified by the military to train people how to shoot, clean and sight guns I dont need a permit. Never going back or recommending it to anyone.

I had bought 3 firearms from this store and looking forward to buy more, i can say the customer service had improved a lot,the staff are more friendly,knowledgeable and approachable.The selections and prices are reasonable the firing range are decent although ive heard from others that their pricing is a little bit higher.. a little music would be nice for the store and it would be great if there will be a membership program in place so that patrons and locals can avail discounts.Overall its a good store..chris and mike were awesome gentlemen...

This is my local gun shop. The last few times in, owner seemed like I was inconvencing him when getting my bow restrung and getting a few accessories. The range is very nice and the other guys in the store are great. It would have been nicer to see the owner taking an intrest in his customers.

Holy sweet Jesus! I just dont know how these guys stay in business??! Customer service at its worst. The entire showroom is disheveled. The only thing they have going for themselves is inventory.

Nice clean place some of the staff are very knowledgeable. Wide selection of rentals. I gave it 4 stars because actual ac unit does not keep up with the indoor range and it gets very hot.

This store has amazing service, workers are polite and always on task.

Had a blast here, literally, with their P90. Staff is knowledgeable and polite even when swamped. I enjoy coming here to put lead down range.

My past three visits to this range was not very enjoyable, inside the range was very hot and messy.The range attendant also felt it necessary to keep telling me and my guest that we were not following the range rules.I did not see the rules posted anywhere and we did not do anything out of the normal.The fact of the very hot, messy range, and the attendant making me feel uncomfortable is enough to make me give this place a break for awhile.

Spent nearly $6,000 on two Beretta shotguns in 2016 from this place. The second gun I never was furnished a receipt for because I was given a cash price according to the owner. After a dozen calls and contacting the BBB bureau about their illegal business practices I still am without a receipt for my firearm. Steer clear of this place and their shady business practices. The BBB gave them an F rating after my experience with them....

Awful customer service. They act like you are wasting their time if you ask a question.

Called this shop to ask for inventory on an item. Rudely, I was told they were too busy to check. I explained I quite some distance away and would hate to make the drive for no reason. Again, were too busy to check. Based off that phone call I did not go and will not go in the future.

Nice range (new), decent store (inventory), not great staff, but greedy folks down here; no steel or aluminum cased ammo allowed anymore because theyre too lazy to separate steel from brass before they sell it.

I love this place, and feel lucky to live close by.

I dont know as a shop, but I would never recommend this place as a range. Minimum $20/hr in a narrow archery section that is maybe 17 yards long is not worth it. As for the firearm section, I dont even have a gun license and I know several cheaper and bigger gun ranges in CT.
