That have done better at maintaining the trails and because of COVID they have plenty of directional signage. Also for historical record it looks like the metroparks sign on Medina Line rd was hid by a vehicle. We typically go on the present run walk. On that trail you was through different types of wooded areas. There is plenty of variety on all the trails in Silver Park.
Beautiful park. Chippewa trail was s wonderful walk through woods, fields and along two ponds. 2.5 miles and moderately flat.
This place is beautiful. Can swim, fish, kayak, hiking and just have fun. Took 2 of my kids for a couple of hours and met some really nice people from Illinois. They also said this place is beautiful. Well kept. Thanks to the metro parks for having places like this. We enjoyed are selves here and we will return.
Nice, clean trails where you can run or walk. Dogs are welcome. The lake is nice. There is a short trail and a long trail.
Beautiful park with nice smooth lake for paddling. Two nice trails for a.total of 3 miles. Location has a beach and recreation area that is open during happier times. Also has 7 miles worth of horse back trails and an archery range. One of my favorite parks in the Summit County metro park system.
Silver Creek is beautiful! I love this park, there are SO many places to explore and find!!
Great place. Excellenty maintained. A real jewel for the metroparks.
Beautiful park with trails, kiddie park, beach. Good place to kayak, picnic, and enjoy the outdoors.
Well maintained paths, with a sunny afternoon, made a great day on the chippewa trail.
It is amazing how quite and relaxing the park is when is only a few miles away from major metropolitan places.
Great easy hiking trail with plenty of parking. There is also a small lake that you can fish from the shore.
One of our favorite metro parks! Mature trees, open fields, pond, fishing, hiking, beach, boating, and streams. Lots of space to roam.
Great place to play Pokemon, way over fished. Very nice park though. Its big and convenient access from all over. Lots of very nice trails and everything is very well maintained. It has horse trails, nature hikes in the fall, swimming on a lifeguard beach, kayak rentals, cross country trails, multiple ponds and tons of wildlife! Its worth going for all kinds of reasons but it is beautiful. It also has the best free archery range around with a raised deck and multiple lanes. Its a great place, check it out any time of year and youll be happy you did :)
Had a pleasant walk with friends on one of their trails. Im impressed with the facilities at this site.
Such a beautiful place. Great for a fall hike.
Beautiful lake. Love the Fall colors!
The metro park, lake, and beach areas are really clean and beautiful. Theres multiple docks at the lake where you can fish, and one where you could launch kayaks. The trails that we were on arent able to be used by bicycles, but are used by foot. The paths are very clear cut, and maintained very well.
Beautiful, peaceful relaxing place
Great trails. If you do Pokemon go there are a lot of gyms too.
Nice place, never knew it was there.
The water is kinda dirty. Fishing is fine but lots of snails
Great little park hidden right outside of Rittman!
Beautiful trails. Very clean and convenient location.
Great walk beautiful scenery.
Great walking trails and great photo subjects
Lots of room to explore.
So, you want me to write a review about Silver Creek? Okay. Ill make this one quick. Silver Creek Metro Park is basically a peak into the pearly gates of Jesus pleasure castle. Literally, the second I get out of my car, the fauna and air rejuvenate my skin with angel kisses. If you believe in fairies and wood nymphs, they are actively giving me back massage whilst the angels are caressing my supple skin with their divine mystic powers. So really, if you want to go to Heaven, dont wait until you die and get shot out of a cannon into hyperspace. Just go on down to Silver Creek Metro Park for a few hours. Trust me. Its organic. Its biodegradable. Its sustainable.
Nice park. Pretty landscape to look at and lots of walking trails.
Beautiful little spot to take the yak relax and catch a few fish. They have a pier with docks, walling trails, horse trails, a swimming area, a park for the kids with a covered pavillion and forest.
Great park! Tons of space to explore and well marked trails.
Beautiful, quiet and serene. Nice thinking place
Loved riding our horses here! Will definitely be back.
Its a great beginners hiking experience
Silver Creek is a beautiful metro Park! Very tranquil and serene located in a in neighborhood. Very clean and and well-kept. The trails are beautiful the beach is beautiful, not much more to ask for.
Quiet place to fish most of the time.
Silvercreek is a great park to hike, have a picnic, kayak or swim
I have loved this park since I was small. I even worked here in the summer of 2000 as a seasonal maintenance worker. It was a tough job, but had many priceless perks ️ Always well maintained, trust me, we scrubbed out those porta johns every morning **I guess I should add a few things about it to make it a proper review? It has 2 beautiful walking trails. Chippewa trail has a beautiful historical barn. And 1 nice long bridle trail. Many ponds, and a large lake that you can fish in. The lake has 2 docks, one observation dock, and one floating dock for fishing and boat rentals. They also sell bait. On the other end of the lake theres a bath house with lifeguards and changing rooms for swimming. A Pavilion you can rent for gatherings, as well as many other smaller picking areas with grills (including the beach area where swimming is). Bathrooms and parking, and events and activities throughout the year. My favorite, the fall family outing where they have free hayrides through the park and many other fun things.
One of the nicest parks around with great walking trails
This is a great place to hike. Its not too difficult of trails, but still dirt paths that are not paved. Its a good place to bring young kids. There are two trails. One is 2.1 miles long, the other is about a mile long.
This park is up the street from my parents. I used to go here when I was younger. It brought back some good memories.
Nice park and great fishing spot
Love this place . Good fishing and can rent boats.
Good meeting place for single cougars. I only wish more older women came here to meet younger men. Young men love older women and older women love young men so lets get together and have fun. I love older women
THe creek was NOT SILVER... Do not come here looking for an epic metal lake because it is not here. 5 stars very nice :)))))))))))
Had a wonderful ride on the equestrian trails. Beautifully maintained .loved our trail ride on your lovely park. Nice picnic area with clean restrooms close by.
Clean, fun time
Great fishing if you get there at the right time. Good bass population. The red ears / shell crunchers seem to have the snails in check. Snails arent nearly as bad this year. Still bring them in when fishing the bottom but, not as common this year. Be careful when throwing cranks and other expensive baits from the end of the dock. There are plenty of trees out off the dock in just about all directions to give fish shelter and hunting grounds. Great for fishing as long as you dont get hung up in them.
Great local metro park.
We paddled around on the lake in kayaks and loved it.
Ive been going to this park for probably 20 years and it is in the top 5 favorite parks in Ohio.
Buckeye Trail is No Joke!
Beautiful park with nice shaded walking paths. Playground is only accessible with a swim pass in summer which is disappointing, but the lake and grounds are well kept, dog pickup bags are always stocked, and the trails offer lots of resting options while walking. (Plenty of pokestops along the two mile trail)
Great park with nice trails.
Great trails, well kept, quite a few visitors
I think the trails could use some working on. There are very uneven paths in some areas I feel people could possibly hurt their ankles. They should really fill these areas in. Some parts of the park are better than other parts of the park.
Does not allow bicycles! Well maintained park for horses.
Love swimming and having a cook out here! Its always clean and calm! A great family place!
This park is what parks shouldve been always..walk a beautiful trail or ride your horse.picnic lunch or fish all day maybe just find a quiet spot to hang a hammock and nap
Great place to hike and enjoy.
Is there any common carp in the lake?
Great trails
Always beautiful and peaceful
Fun for me and the kids to walk talk and explore
I like to walk my car here
LOVE THIS PLACE
Great park. Lots of space, trails and grills.
Going there to ride my bike because it is very safe riding in the road.I do laps around the area for excercise and to get back into riding, been a while since I have ridden and at 82 I need a safe place to go.
By far my favorite of the Summit Metroparks. Beautiful pine area that always leaves me awestruck. Great place to walk a rambunctious pup.
Very big and beautiful and the community of people that were there were nice as could be
Love love love this park! Great trails, nature, and landscape!
Had fun with my kid..one pleasant memory
Chippewas trail is an easy 2 mile walk. Today there were plants along the trail in bloom and several butterflies too.
This is an amazing place to spend the day. Offering year around activities, from fishing, to paddle boating, swimming, hiking, to my favorite the fall bonfires and hay rides. The park staff do an excellent job with the upkeep of the park. So get up off the couch and go see what your local metro parks have to offer.
Usually semi busy with decent amount of dogs walking. Not overly hard trails to walk.
Silver Creek Metro Park is a fantastic park tucked away in the southwest corner of Summit county.Very well maintained park! There are several trails to hike. Even two equestrian trails. A sandy beach area (small admission fee in season) is also located within the park.Just outside of the park is an archery range that is very well maintained an is free to use.Throughout the park are several shelters that can be rented as well as a few picnic areas. Most of the picnic tables are in shaded areas.Certainly worth the drive out!
Simple 2 mile trail. Beautiful scenes
Kayaking here is pleasant and the trails are well-maintained. Its nice to have the option for a longer, less strenuous hike.
I like this place because it has a paved path
Absolutely beautiful!
Glad to beStuck in Ohio!
Nice place to fish and have a picnic.
Beautiful park
Great groundskeeping! Beach is great too. Rented paddle boards. Had a great time!
Pheasant run is a beautiful place for a family picnic. We had a large baby shower there. Excellent !
Beautiful place to explore and bring your family and friends.
Fishing, swimming, picnicking and feild games, this is the place for all of the above. The playground and all but swimming is free. And the swimming price is extremely fair. The beach and water is clean. The trails are beautiful and clean, the picnic tables have a grill nearby. Dogs are allowed in certain areas.
Very nice park with several pavilions available and plenty of space for most activities. There are also a swimming area with a beach and hiking trails.
Beautiful place clean, nice hikeing trails.
Great place to walk
