A hidden glory: They have what they call a basin here, for flood runoff, but its enormous and gorgeous, like a valley in Wyoming. Theres a terrific sledding hill for running on, but occasionally big trucks come by and ruin the air for a while. You could finish your run on a soccer field, paved trails or the grassy sides of the trails if you were interrupted.

Very cute, out of the way park. Def bring sunscreen on the hotter days, since prairies by nature dont have much shade. Lots of other activities exist for those who enjoy sports as well.

I took my 6 year old daughter here. We spent an hour in the skatepark, followed by an hour in the regular park. The equipment is great. Top-quality. The skate park is very big and has areas for all skill levels. Theres a paved loop for biking, and also a running track.

Great facility for the kids to participate in many sporting activities. Well maintained and seems to be getting even more space for interior events. During pandemic months, its a lot less crowded, but there are still individuals working out with paid trainers.

I started exercising and walking a little over a month ago. It all started here. This is an amazing park complete with five or six loop trails, a park, skate park, fishing pond and fields for various sports. You never get bored with so much to keep you occupied and not focused on the 4+ miles you have to accomplish. Btw... although the park is technically closed during the pandemic the restrooms are open and they are clean.

Probably one of the best skate parks in the entire north shore. Great mix of ramps, etc.

We love going here for family picnics and long, long walks on the trails.

This my first time. I am not from around here. This park is awesome. Full of walking loops with views. A batting cage, skatepark, golf course, and fishing areas. It is so well maintained. Freshly mowed grass everywhere and its so clean looking. So many places to sit. If you have time, it is definitely worth a place checking out at least once. This place is huge!

Great path around the park and fields: relaxing walk - especially in the evening, despite other activities taking place : soccer, soft ball, golf, lacrosse, jogging and, of course, skating in the skate park. This place is just a walk away from downtown Northbrook, where you can get a bite or an icecream from Graeters.

Only downside is the bathroom /water area has wierd hours

Expansive park, good variety of biking and hiking paths, athletic fields, prairie, and interpretive walk. Even has water, fishing, and golf. Good connections to residential areas. Would benefit from a connection to the North Branch Trail and addition of more garden space.

Good safe place especially for children. Great baseball fields well maintained. Easy to find, good parking.

Very good for playing soccer on turf. They also have a great looking skate portion of the park.

Loved the turf fields. My sons loved the skate part and the endless amount of park space. Playgrounds galore, plus an abundance of grilling area. Picnic area, gazebo, just wonderful, maintained facilities. With that Northbrook property tax money, I would expect nothing less. One thing is certain, I appreciate the amount of assessibilty that this park affords. From football to baseball to soccer to lacrosse, fields aplenty. I didnt see a basketball goal, why am I not surprised

Sponsored to beginner... Space for everyone. This skatepark is very well laid-out to help everyone keep out of the way of each other... which is critical. Tons of quarter pipe wall with constant grade and huge easy-in ramps. Excellent bowl with interesting cuts and angles. Cement in very good shape... Except for rough patches in the bowl. Massive perimeter track with great rails and Manny pads and tons of whoop de dos and ramps that go all the way around the park. Lighted skating til 10 I think. ;) Fave park in Chicagoland by far with only very rarely exclusive or unfriendly skaters.

Easy parking. Not very busy. Nice staff.

Nice place for a walk or a run, some golf, fishing, playing with the kids at the park, or watching lacrosse, soccer, baseball or skateboarding. And in winter there is a sledding hill.

Its a great place to meditate, and relax.

It’s basically one large bowl with grinding rails around the edge. It seemed to me like it was pretty cool but I don’t skate, my son however felt it was too much of one thing and not all that exciting. He felt the smaller parks in Roselle and Villa Park offered more variety.

Great park for walking, skating, playing soccer or golf or just playing with the kids. Really has something for everybody including some relics to learn about past inhabitants of the area. Also, there is a couple baseball fields and batting cages.

I like the batting cages. Wish you had a little lead time from dropping your token until the first pitch. Dont have time to even set up before that first pitch comes.

Best multipurpose park in Northbrook. Sled hill, 9 hole golf course, batting cages, skateboard park, turf fields, you name it. This park has it all and everything is is in great shape. Hope they make a smart move with the land they bought next door.
