Extremely knowledgeable! Started my saltwater journey with a 45 gallon almost 5 years back. Since coming here, within the past 5 years, I have upgraded to a 550 gallon reef system. The Reef Geeks have taught me so much to get this far! Their prices are by far the best out of any store I have been to in Illinois and the surrounding states (yes I travel a lot for my corals :) I have fully stocked my reef with 95% of Reef Geeks corals. Great experience, best prices and package deals, very knowledgeable, and wonderful atmosphere that makes you feel at home! 5 Shop!

If youve never experienced the beautiful depth of the ocean (like me), take a ride to this place. Its like scuba diving and seeing all the coral colors, shapes, and some illuminate which is amazingly beautiful. Learned alot from store owner who was very helpful. First and foremost this place is owned by a true hobbyist his store is basically an adult size clubhouse for reefers!The owner offers coral at very friendly prices. If he didnt have overhead im 100% sure he would be even lower.I drove 6 hrs to hangout which he encourages. Very attentive to customers and if i lived closer would be my hangout

A really cool place! It’s easy to tell that Luis and his team are truly reef hobbyist. I purchased one of the “100 frag packs” and couldn’t be more pleased. Definitely worth making a trip to check them out!

I swear these prices are the best prices you can find in Chicago. I got my elegance coral and mushroom leather coral from these guys and they are thriving like crazy. I’m absolutely in love with my elegance. 10/10 would recommend!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Reef Geeks of Chicago finally got to swing by and so glad we did. Spent 60 bucks and left with more than we could get anywhere near us. The staff there were awesome, informative, educational and friendly really cant ask for a better experience. I will post pics once the new adds are acclimated. Seriously you need to go check this place out if you havent yet. Nothing like giving your money to someone that you know enjoys the hobby and making your experience the best it can be. Thank you. Where to start this is the best Reef shop in ALL Illinois hands down, with the largest coral selection i have ever seen, and some of the biggest colonies ever, staff is awesome makes u feel like family and omg they cook some very good food lol this is a shop you can come to and hang out, everyone i mean staff and customers are having a good time, i was there for 3hrs and lost track of time because i was having such a good time keith and luis, Omar and heather are so knowledgeable and helpful a staff that will take the time to speak to u and teach u to reef i didnt expect to buy anything for this being my first time there but with the prices being unbelievable, i also didnt think i was going to walked out with a Styrofoam box with tons of corals and didnt spend a ton, Im very happy with Reef Geeks i called all my Reef friends to check them out the atmosphere here tops any lfs Ive been to, thank u Reef Geeks Im now a lifetime customer!
