A delightful discovery, I had driven by this park before but never gone in. One down side, they close at 5 pm, but someone comes around to warn visitors that the gates will be closing. Some lovely shaded spots, even for parking. Ill be back.

Ive been visiting Childs Park since I was knee high to a grasshopper, and and its always been a lovely place for a picnic. Its a little small, and a couple sections of grass could use better drainage, but its a great place for a walk among some greenery.

I. Like Childs Park alot except you must keep your dog leashed at all times. If you dont mind that or dont have a dog then it shouldnt be a problem. They have big fields for frizbe or if you want to put a blanket out and just chill in the sun you can do that too. Enjoy your day!!

Nice little park. Always seems clean and fairly safe. Wish there was more parking along the outside of the park since the one hour parking spots quickly fill up with people who work nearby so their cars are there almost all day

A beautiful and scenic park located right between Northampton and Florence. A serene location perfect for a leisurely walk, or a light bike ride. Theres some parking during the day, but otherwise you can easily park off site and walk.

Well located between Northampton and Florence. Childs Park is a nice little spot of peace, no fancy rides just a stroll around. Popular for teens as the park is across the street from Northampton high school and near both the YMCA and Cooly Dickinson Hospital. Its also a short walk to the bike path. The rest of the area is mostly residential making for a quiet spot. Lots of benches for a little rest. But becareful in the Winter as it has a tendency to become muddy with lots of melting snow.

Great park, and home every April when the snow melts to the opportunity to recreate the infamous Seattle skimboarding stunt of Jackass fame. Just dont get caught by the buzzkill guards who will remind you its sewage youre skimboarding in.
