Extremely nice facility!!!! Very clean and spacious with clean restrooms. We went for an event for my sons school and had a great time. We were in the grand hall which was a nice size for large events. Its in a very nice and developing area. I hope to return someday soon.

Great place for a quiet swim. Bonus they allow mermaid tails so me and my fellow mermaid lovers can swim during the winter

Always super fresh and clean when you come in. Ive only been to the swimming part but I go several times a month. Relaxing wonderful place to bring the kids when you are a member and the pool is indoor pool open year round.

Do not let your child attend the preschool program. This place 100% discriminated my child and denied us. I absolutely hate the way we were treated. They would rather deny a child wigh some disability than try to work with us. They are more affordable than the other preschool programs in this area but that is all. Because of the preschool director, our children did not attend any school. Extremely angry still. Warning anyone with children looking for a preschool and if your child is a little delayed, do not come here. God director is a jerk. No heart. The two teachers are rude and had the nerve to say things to the director. Waste of time and my poor child never got to be in any program and I blame nrh!

I love coming here to work out every day and the employees at the front desk are always so amazing, they know my name when I come in and I know theirs. Its an amazing experience every time

Place was amazing but they wouldn’t let me use the workout equipment because I was underage, which is understandable, but if I have to sign a waiver every time I come in I might as well go to a planet fitness. I have very little time with school and sports to workout and I want to make the most of it.( I am 14 if you are wondering.)

We are new to the area and this place is hands down one of my favorite features of this area. They have a everything for every age group. Those that are into working out, plus childcare or even a game of pick up in the gym. If it is too cold out but do not want to go to the mall they have an indoor track that can be utilized as well. I can not speak more highly of the employees in this establishment. They answered all of the questions that I had and gave a me a tour of the place.

Expensive membership fees. Pool common area is too hot to be in clothes, has very limited seating, and the chairs backs have a cross brace that is super uncomfortable. Alacarte lessons, movie night, and camps cause pool to close down, and displace paying member for hours at a time. And then pool closes early at 5PM. Disappointed..

Gym has majority of what you need. There’s certain things you can’t do. Like get the training ropes and the slam ball which is in the trainers only office. Also, you can’t go upstairs to use the rooms to practice dancing, workout, or do some yoga. It’s only for instructors. It also would be greatly appreciated if the gym opened earlier on Sundays. I don’t see why they open at 10AM. Other than all of that I really love this gym, it’s very clean and the staff is friendly. Although some of the people that go here just see it as a meet up to have conversations while using and not using machines. Really wish they could kick those people out.

Ive been coming to the rec center regularly for over a year. The crew at the desk have even gotten to greeting me by name. There are a lot of things to do here I havent gotten to explore yet. The gym/weight room is well equipped. There is a swimming pool with lazy river & party size hot tub section. A walking track upstairs & large gym always occupied. A massage therapist is also on site. The other end of the building has a meeting hall/banquet hall complete with bar area that rents for gatherings. All very nicely done. Come see for yourself.

The staff here is great! Makes it a lot easier to go in and work out! Facility is nice and clean. Doesnt stink like most gyms and lots of things to do here. Everyone always has a smile on their face and willing to help. We will continue to come here to use the facility!

Nice facility and great instructors, but if you purchase a group fitness pass keep in mind they wont let you into the class if youre 1 minute late and they run their clock 5 minutes ahead. Make sure you always have your clock set to match theirs so you dont get denied your favorite workout session and end up leaving discouraged about not being able to get your workout in. Ive heard of not being able to attend class because of it being full, but never because of the time unless its already over. They say its because the class gets disrupted, but I would hope that the image being portrayed here would be inviting to join the classes despite the fact that you running late due to things out of your control. Hopefully, they can make some changes in the upcoming year to their very member, unfriendly rules and regulations. I love seeing new faces in class even if they are running late.

The place to go to workout. For young people to seniors. My wife likes their indoor walking track. I have a friend that uses the pool for low impact exercise.

I really enjoy this facility and the many amenities it offers. The staff is also generally great. In particular I have been really pleased with the friendly and helpful interactions Ive had with employees Teddi, Ryan, Krista and Sarah in aquatics, and Jason in maintenance. All of them have gone out of their way to help me at various times and it is much appreciated. There is one girl at the front desk who is less friendly and sometimes outright rude, but overall this is a great place to work out or hold a kids party. Recommended!

I went back for the first time this morning since they reopened. It was very clean and I felt very safe.

I came in here a few evenings ago and I was blown away by how friendly the staff was and how nice the facility was. The equipment was nice and updated. There is a kids club where my little ones can go as I work out. I believe in thanking those who actually provide sincerely good service and not the fake stuff because they have to. The staff I came in contact with blew me away. Thanks to Lauren, Ryan, and I believe the ladys name was Donna that can assist me with the equipment. The biggest thing that tied this all together is them remembering my name and shaking my hand. I will be back and I will bring guests!

Best gym I have attended in the last 5 years. Helpful, knowledgeable, 98% of the time greeting you with a smile and kind word as you leave. They dont over sell you move at your own pace.

So I come up there to get a day pass and try out the place but I came late at night and I realized it was about to close. As I was walking out some people walked past and went straight into the gym. I stopped to get some water, and I heard someone behind the front desk ask hey did they check in? And the other person was like just leave them be we are closing soon anyway. So I guess people that pay dont have to if they just come in late at night? Seems wrong to me. This was my first time attempting to come in since moving here but will be my last, Ill find somewhere where I feel valued. Nobody even said hi when I walked in

I was very dissatisfied with my experience. My friend encouraged me to come here because he said it was such a great place. Well I will say that the facility is very nice but the staff is terrible. The lady that helped us get set up when i was a guest of my friend was very rude. I noticed her name was alexis. I shrugged it off as maybe she had an off day. But then as I was walking past the front desk I overheard her and a guy up there talking about inappropriate things and using foul language. Considering I wanted a place for me and my family to come to regularly as we are new to the are I will say for sure that until stuff like that goes away I will definitely not be returning nor will I tell anyone in my family to visit such a terrible place for a family. That is. HIGHLY unprofessional. And for the love of god PLEASE wear shorts that are a normal length. It is a family facility, not a bar

Ive been a member since DAY ONE and have nothing but the kindest things to say about EVERYONE on staff. The facility is clearly STATE OF THE ART with two floors full of every machine imaginable. The ENTIRE staff has always been very personable with a special shout-out to ASHLEY who keeps all the second floor regulars in line and the machines spotless and GARRETT (the manager) who has always bent over backwards to help out. KUDOS TO ALL !!!!

Its a good facility. It gets crowded with the nearby high school kids between 3pm-5pm, so sometimes I cant get to the equipment/machines I want to use. I love the cardio machines, plenty of those. Also most important, there are month to month plans. If you dont renew, no worries your membership is expired. No need to deal with 3rd party collectors to cancel.

Saturday, July 20, 2019:The sign at the start of the upstairs walking/jogging track says to walk Clockwise on Even numbered days.I got upstairs to walk about 15:45. I walked Clockwise around the track until about 17:15.Everyone else walking or jogging were all going Counter-Clockwise. One of the male staff members asked me to walk Counter-clockwise, for safety!I called the sign garbage!And left right away!Most of the people who use gyms seem to be illiterate,so there is no good reason to post signs!Use red arrows. The illiterate usually can interpret pointing!IF MANAGEMENT IS TRULY INTERESTED IS WALKERS/JOGGERS SAFETY,I suggest that the management paint over the portion on their sign which instructs walkers/joggers to go Clockwise on Even numbered days; and Counter-Clockwise on Odd numbered days!Millard L. Clean and friendly atmosphere. Doesnt stink like a lot of gyms. On site childcare while you work out is well staffed, clean, and kid friendly.

Really nice gym with good facilities. The staff are always friendly an knowledgeable.Fantastic programs includijg good summer camps.The kids club is a little expensive especially when you compare it to other gyms but they actually interact and care for the kids vs just leaving them to go wild in an open space

This place is fantastic. We have a family membership and it is well worth the price. We mostly use the pool and the workout area but expect to use more of their services as the kids get older.

Always clean. Kind staff. Amazing pool area. All the equipment you need. And even when the parking lot is crowded it doesnt feel crowded in the gym. They also have all kinds of amazing group classes. And their preschool program we recommend to everyone! My kiddo was more than ready for Kindergarten thanks to the NRH Centre.

This is a very nice recreation center for the NRH area. The pool area is available for anyone, when you pay admission of course. The treadmills, weight machines, upstairs running path, etc., are for members. Membership prices are reasonable. There are two gyms in the building for basketball and other activities. Classes are available for you children, like gymnastics, swimming, basketball, etc. great place for the whole family.

Love this place! Beautiful indoor waterpark perfect for all. Lazy river, rock climbing wall with deep pool under it, adult slide that goes out of the building, lap pool, large hot tub, and shallow area with fountains and slide for little kids. They do birthday parties off the water area as well. You can pay $10 each per day to use the facility if you are not a member

I love this facility, friendly, great equipment and super clean . I dont think they have left a stone unturned. Very evident that a lot of thought went into the planning to give the customer a great experience. Icing on the cake is my Personal Trainer Cynthia she is first class.

I go here for the pool. Its like a little water park. I wish it had more lap lanes or the lifeguards would keep people from crossing into the lanes to get to the hot tub. Children also play in the lanes and get in the way when lap swimming. They have no respect and neither the parents nor the lifeguards think hm maybe I should tell those pests to get out of the lap lanes people are using. I usually go to be a mermaid and I always keep my distance when swimming and give people plenty of space and watch for them so we dont collide or they get smacked with a fin. You would think the same courtesy would be extended to us and any other swimmers in the lanes.(If you are reading this and a mermaid please for the love of god do NOT have a big meet here and ruin it for us. Someone already got us banned from the rock wall pool we used to be allowed in.)Has absolutely the best locker/changing room also but the floors are way too slick. I have almost fallen and I have seen people fall. Definitely wear shoes or water socks in the lockers!

Very well maintained, top quality equipment. Walking track inside. Excellent pool. Equipment spread around in smaller areas so you dont feel like you are in a packed gym.

Not family friendly hours. Children are very restricted of when they can use the gym and pool. I paid for an very expensive family membership but my children can only use the facility on very limited hours due to NRH centre scheduled classes and events. Or you have to pay more money to allow them to utilize their membership for lessons or camp! Waste of money to get a family membership!!

Fancy indoor pool. A little pricey for non residents, but we make the trip because its one of the few indoor pools in DFW that allow mermaid tails (although they are no longer allowed in the deep pool for safety reasons, wondering if they had a problem or if its precautionary?). The lazy river and other features are nice. They have a separate party room so when there are birthday parties they arent a million kids doing cake and stuff right next to the pool. The locker rooms are also very nice, big showers, they even have hair dryers and a swim suit dryer.

How fun is this place!?! I went here in the winter for a swim birthday party!!! It was awesome. Such a nice facility & they have very reasonable prices - if you dont have a membership its only $10 for the day...great to beat boredom & get the kids out of the house. Very clean & well maintained with a very friendly staff. Nice locker rooms & family rooms & great community spaces along with a gym. Something for everyone! I love it.

The staff member that greeted my daughter and I was wonderful. She was very helpful and completed my membership paperwork quickly. She then showed my daughter and I around the center. I look forward to meeting new friends and participating in the many activities at the NRH Senior Center.

What a great venue for a childs birthday party!

Its a good gym with limited free weights. If you dont care about working out and just want to run on a treadmill, go here. But definitely dont go between 5-7 pm because its packed. I mention the limited free weights because you will have to be really creative to get a good workout. Theres always someone using the exact thing that you wanted to use.

I come here with my kids for Year Round Aquatic Center. The pool is very kid friendly and at its deepest it is less than 4 feet. Great water slide, hot tub/spa area and great family changing rooms. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing rec center. The receptionists at the front counter are very friendly and helpful. The pool is Awesome!! There are the men & women locker areas and also, a family locker area as well. It is great for all ages. So much to do there.

We came here for the NRH Business Luncheon. The location was great and the building was nice and clean. We had a great visit with local business owners and enjoyed a delicious meal. The parking lot seemed to hold the crowd well and it was a warm and welcoming visit.

We swam here once for a birthday party. The facility is amazing. It has a two story water slide, rock wall (you can jump off of into the water), lazy river, hot tub, and two party rooms. The prices for a day pass and super cheap. You can also rent a party room or the entire facility, if you want a private party. You will have tons of fun at this indoor swimming facility.

Walked into facilities this morning and they are refinishing wood floors while everyone is there working out .For someone like I whom is highly reactive to dust and other inhalation,,,who made the decision to expose members to this toxic dust? Not good at all for all are exposed to microscopic chemicals and dust particles. This should be done at night and aired out as they go.All toxins are now in the central air system. The board,if any shows that was not their concerns. Terrible decision. Up Date: All of the above mentioned concerns were addressed and taken care of very quickly. The facility responded and corrected that situation with the health and safety for all concerns and possibilities that could be. Thank you for your timely response. It is so much appreciated.

Pool area has an awesome slide that goes out of the building and back in. Excellent kiddy area and last river. Love their cheap rental rooms that includes fridge and TV. You could even rent out the whole pool for a cheap price.

If I could give the nrh centre a 100 stars, I would do it. My son has autism and this summer I was determined to get him and my daughter swim lessons. Due to his special needs I searched around DFW, only finding places that were too far or far too expensive. I called the head of the swim program, Krista and she truly cared and was very kind and bent over backwards to accommodate us. Alyssa, has been my sons instructor and she is just an angel sent from heaven. All special needs parents knows how wonderful it is to find people who genuinely care about your baby and she is one of them. I recommend them to everyone. My daughter is also getting so confident in the water and that is the goal! Highly, highly recommend. So thankful for them.

Massage therapy, personal training, group classes, nutrition consults, chiropractic/FDM, private yoga, MS sponsored yoga, water fitness, Silver Sneakers, Silver&Fit, athletic leagues and even kids summer camps, preschool and kids care while you workout. Swim lessons too for all ages. Clean, update equipment often, amazing instructors.

Had my granddaughters birthday there. Inside swimming area and pool slide. The children loved the time spent there. Clean and well kept. Would recommend it.

My son has been taking swim lessons here for the last couple of years and loves it. We even take advantage of the free swim as often as we can. Staff is great, floors are just slippery being that they are stone.

Hell yea!Elegantly overbuilt facility, government owned and regulated, nice staff and a very positive atmosphere for working out. Staff very friendly and so are the members, for the most part. Over 50 aerobic machines and plenty of equipment if you want to move iron around. Members are many times eager to let you share machines and weights.Incredible one acre water park with waterfalls, fountains, a lazy river, lap lanes and a large hot tub. (Just wish the kids would quit urinating in the tub, they shouldnt be allowed in)Garrett the director has been very open to my suggestions for improvements and is fun to talk to, very people oriented. Jason in maintenance is very responsive too.

The staff is very helpful and polite. Members are encouraging and delightful. The facility is clean, accessible, and beautiful. I look forward to going to a place that is child friendly and the programs are wonderful.

Positives: Its clean, its a very nice facility (aesthetically), the family environment is great (for families), and the staff at the front desk is always helpful.Negatives: (1) The gym is much too small. It has nice equipment but as far as usability and practicality it is severely lacking. The use of space inhibits anything other than a boring traditional workout. (2) The personal training staff takes up an unnecessary amount of space when training a client in an already tight area. (3) Males cannot wear cut off shirts because too many members have complained. This is unreasonable. The reason for coverage in a gym is health associated not member acceptability associated.The NRH centre is a great facility. I give it two stars because I feel its not the right place if you are only looking for a gym. It is very successful at welcoming and entertaining families and if I were a father I would probably give it 5 stars.
