Awesome little stop out in the middle of nowhere. Interesting stuff, it was closed when I went but it was still 5 stars so I can only imagine what its like during business hours.
Great pumpkin patch for the kids. Corn cannon and slide with horse back riding. Felt very halloween.
Great history and loved every minute. Just wish my Dad could have been there, he was a huge fan of Bill Codys.
House was being repaired but barn was filled with interesting things about the ranch, the shows & the Indians. It was a nice 2 hour stop
Nice park. Just wish you could go in the mansion. The horse barn was full of memorabilia
Lots to see. Unfortunately the house was being painted and it was not going to be opened for inside tours until Weds. Today is Monday and we leave the are tomorrow. Next time.
The first time we visited was yesterday after just having been on a family roadtrip to Yellowstone, Glacier and many other places of history. The place is beautiful and the staff was awesome!! History lesson was fabulous and added even more value to our trip then before we stopped :) would def recommend!
Very clean and well run great place to bring the family
The history here is amazing. I wished that everything had been open.
Nice little detour to learn about Buffalo Bill and his shiw
This was a cool piece of history to visit!! Free
So happy we stopped, the history is wonderful on the way this ranch and people was instrumental in Nebraskas history and settlement
Lots of history beautifully maintained and presented.
Great piece of history and great staff. Our grandmother Nellie Bell was associate with Buffalo Biil and the show so it was a great experience to witness today
Beautiful grounds with lots of wildlife. The hours are limited though so make sure you check if it is open before coming.
Its an alright stop you can learn some interesting things, but I cant say to much as I was on my way home from lake McConaughey And it seemed like a good place to make a pit stop
Amazing. Beautiful. Informative. We just lived it!!!!
Wonderful historical property. Buffalo Bills ranch is a must see.
Nice grounds. Nice house
This state park has some great history about Buffalo Bill Cody and his family, but also about his Wild West Show. There are several historical artifacts and great snippets of information about the family history, life at the time, and the Wild West Show. The buildings and grounds are well-kept. There are even two live buffalo (bison) on the ranch!
Loved it. A must see if you get a chance.
Class field trip. Very knowledgeable
So beautiful. Love the history.
Very fun place! Fun way to get a real glimpse into the past. Vintage Base Ball is so cool here!!
Beautiful and historic! Definitely worth checking out, especially at Christmas time!
Went to the Kane Brown Concert and it was great. The set up for restrooms and porta johns was good Boone had to wait in line for anything. Food lines short and fast, overall great experience.
Enjoyed our time camped at this beautiful state park. Has a small beach. Petting zoo is adjacent to the park. They have 30 and 50 amp, water spigots not very convenient and no dump station. Our site #2 was great. It was leveled, gravel driveway, spacious, fire pit, grill and table. No shade. Evenings were delightful. OTA was good, Verizon and Sprint worked well. Great history and museums. Shopping and restaurants nearby.
My little sister just got married here. SO PRETTY! If you have been thinking about coming here, you should!
For a historical landmark we thought it run down. The staff was very young and very talkative with each other about their personal life. We lived the place but just not much going on
I love the history of this place and North Platte. A great place to visit! I would come back anytime and recommend it to locals and visitors!
Love the house and ranch great place to chill out and bar b que
This was so interesting and our guide made hearing the information so much fun. Young man in character, amazing...didnt seem like 2.5 hrs.
We got there to late to go through the out buildings
Great campground on the river.
Great place to learn about some history. Take a guided tour or walk around on your own.
Great peaceful place to go camping along the North Platte River. It can get full at certain times, but other times its the perfect get away w/ little to no one else around. The camp host is pretty strict about safety, and speed, but lenient about people having a good time. Definitely recommend this spot.
Wonderful collection of real artifacts. Story told very well also. Dont miss the barn!
Very interesting and educational. Well worth the time to go and see
For a one night camping stop it was okay. The grass was overgrown, weeds were tall, online map is completely wrong for 50 amps. I dont know why people like this tiny campground. Went to take the dogs out for a walk and the local Leos were outside running all the plates. Well, if you have nothing better to do. As we go to leave the next morning a horse trailer was blocking the drive. Even after honking the group of people didnt move it. Seriously? North Platte is just awful.
Inside the house was nicely done. The barn was amazing.
Ive been to Buffalo Bill Ranch at multiple occasions. The last time was during Christmas and it was really neat. Lots of decorations and its always nice to revisit buffalo bills life.
Love this place. Its very relaxing and very beautiful to look at
This is a great example of housing and the life and times of the old west and Buffalo Bill Cody. Lots of well displayed artifacts, furniture, photographs and film. A very engaging and polite employees. Courtney, the house director was full of enthusiasm and great information. Recommend it to everyone coming through North Platte Nebraska!
Dusty trails pumpkin fest at the codys was great
Loved touring there when I went with frontier house, very interesting.
Awesome place to visit. Great background for pictures as well as it has a n amazing history.
Very Interesting and informative. I highly recommend it!
Beautiful ranch just outside of North Platte. Easy to see how this was a respite for him
Worth the trip
Loved this place
Very cool, but its starting to go bad and rot
Good place to stop to stretch legs if traveling.
My fiances cousin took their wedding pictures out there and they turned out lovely!
King of boring. We got out and walked around a bit because we were driving cross country and needed to stretch our legs, otherwise I wouldn’t have stopped.
Great historical venue! Great people to work with!
Fun to see the mans actual area where he lived.
HAVE TO GET A OUT OF STATE NEBRASKA PARK PASS JUST TO PARK IN LOT. WHAT A RIP OFF. THEN MORE $ TO SEE THE MANSION. NICE PLACE.
Def worth the stop along the way ....
Beautiful surroundings!
Been at this one twice as well. Very interesting place
Lots of interesting things to see here. If your imagination is good you can see what it was like when Buffalo Bill Cody was here. Not all of it is still here, the T-Barn has burned down. There are photographs in many interesting things to see either in the house or in the barn. If you go to the east and north of the house, Drive East and turn left on the dirt road that goes up to the Platte River theres a very nice Campground.
Great little place to go see! Tour guide would have been nice but on your own you can go at your own pace. Lots to read so be sure you bring your glasses if you need them.
I have visited this historic place since 1989 and from that timethe picture is enclosed here.
I already posted this one
The house and barn at Scouts Rest Ranch were interesting.
Absolutely amazing piece of american history. Cost 12 bucks total for me and my brother. Well worth the price
This place never gets old, great place to take the family .
Had a wonderful time! Wished they had a section in the bottom for wheelchairs instead of being stuck in the stands
Great historical site.
Excellent museum packed with history.
Beautiful property with a little stream and pond! We didnt go inside, but we did take family photos outside in front of the barn and throughout the courtyard! Great scenery!
Meet friends there
Fun to see his original cabin, some actual Buffalo, and his barn. A great intro to country life for our city kids.
Fun to all year round but especially nice decorated at Christmas time .
Allie and Jason rock! Always welcoming and accommodating. The mansion is a real treat, beautiful grounds, convenient camping nearby with access to the North Platte for a lazy ride downriver. Wagon rides with Buffalo Bill himself make the trip worthwhile.
The history and photos/relics inside the home were wonderful. The barn was cool (huge!) and the property was beautiful. Other than that, there wasnt much to see.
Good history of the man. Fun area s for children, must pay for park and admission to musium
Lots of history, can learn a lot about Buffalo Bill and his later life.
Very historical peaceful pleasant place to visit
We enjoyed touring the house, barn, and property . We bought our park permit at the house, the lady was friendly and helpful. They ask you to please not use the flash on your camera as it can degradate the displays, however many of the window shades were up exposing the displays to sunlight, go figure. There were many pictures to view and read about. The barn was huge with great carriage /wagon displays. Well worth the price.
Interesting site, especially if you don’t know anything about the story of Buffalo Bill. Cost only 2-3 $
Lots of history in buffalo bills home. There is a short film too.
Stopped in and visited a few days ago. Loved it. So much history in such a unique sight. It was amazing. My only singular complaint was my allergic reactions to the swarm of wasps inside the barn left me standing outside guessing at the wonders indoors. Otherwise, it was breath-taking!
A part of the history of the western United States. Buffalo Bills ranch helps preserve part of American history.
Beautiful!
A beautiful park area
AN incredible piece of History
Very clean. Educational. Well kept. My kids loved it!
Interesting. Fun place
