Price wasn’t bad 25 for 9 holes, played the front 9. The service in the clubhouse was good, but the guy at the carts acted weird about us take the cart to load up our clubs. Didn’t expect it to be an issue since they give you the cart in the parking lot and we were parked about 50 feet away. Never had an issue with that before at a course. He was not very friendly.

This golf course is up and coming. A lot of work has been done and more work is the process. The fairways are in good shape and for the most part the greens are excellent.This course is perfect for my ability. I am new to the game and the course has just the right amount of difficulty.The starter Ted gave some great advice and Ron the ranger stopped by a few times to make sure everyone was okay

Seen some bad reviews about this place, but my daughter and I tried it anyway cause it was so close to where we were staying. They are currently doing some renovations but they don’t really affect playability. It might not be as nice as the upscale places, but you aren’t paying those prices and course was overall in good shape and we had a blast playing. Pace of play was outstanding and the staff was all very helpful and friendly!

I have not played the course...yet. However, I did call the course to discuss bringing my family there to play. What a gentleman I spoke to! He was patient as I asked several questions, made recommendations, really helped. Superb. See, Im a 9 handicap but my wife and son are newer to the game. I want them to enjoy it and others to be unimpeded. Wish I had gotten the mans name but will definitely play here next week due to his hospitality.

First time playing here, heard theyre making improvements so thought wed check it out. First the positives. The sand in the bunkers is pretty nice and the greens roll not bounce like a lot of other courses around here. Now the not so good points. The fairways are pretty beaten up with lots of ground under repair (they were sodding around the bunkers while we were playing). Greens were VERY slow . And the worst part for me was sand everywhere - tee boxes, under the grass in the rough and even some of the fairways. Very slow play even for 11am on Tuesday. Golfers here seem to be fairly new to golf and no rangers to even attempt to move players along. Id pay the few extra dollars and play Beachwood or Eagles Nest. Azalea Sands is a work in progress.

Every staff member we interacted with was amazingly friendly and helpful! The course was not the most challenging when compared to the courses Im used to playing in Georgia but it was very well taken care of. Another positive note was when I called to see if they were open(it had rained hard all day the day before) and they said they were and said if we did come to play that they had recently aerated and sanded the greens and they understood if that turned us away.Overall great staff, course and value!

Rode in the golf cart while my husband played 18 holes. Had a great time! Reasonably priced and easy to book tee time on-line.

I appreciate that the golf course is working to make improvements but it is in horrible shape. Not much grass in the fairways and too much rough in some places. The greens were so heavily sanded the putts had a sand rooster tail. Spend some more money and play somewhere else maybe next door at Beachwood

I’ve played Azalea many times and our round a few days ago found the course to be in better shape than it normally is. The owners are putting money into the course and it shows. There are some rough spots because of this, but the greens, fairways and tees are in better shape than I’ve seen them maybe ever.If you want a cheap round in the heart of N Myrtle, this is a good place.

Great course. Greens are rolling true. Even seen the Head Pro out washing cart. Staff was very friendly and inviting. I would recommend this course to any ability golfer out there. Thanks to the staff for a very pleasant round of golf.

Cost of play was far too high for the course conditions that were the worst I’ve ever seen of any golf course. Was being told as well as several other golfers were told to go faster than normal pace of play which made the experience less enjoyable. Save your money and go play at Shaftsbury Glen or Wild wing.

Nice place, good people and rates. Walked 9, enjoyable. Golfer with trained dogs, dont see that every day golfing! Go support the local ownership!

Low class/No class golf course- Came to play/teach my daughter golf and there were strippers/Caddy Girls on the course. Apparently the new management has the same lack of morals as the previous management.

The course is really coming along. The greens were under repair but they made that abundantly clear on golfnow and their website. The greens and fairways were in good shape.

Great atmosphere. Very nice staff. The price was on point for those of us who know we are not professional golfers. Its nothing fancy and thats how we like it. They are undergoing renovations but it doesnt effect the experience - as making improvements is a good thing. The clubhouse does have a few snacks and drinks not the unnecessary full concession stand like other places. The 18 hole course is challenging in distance but has nice greens, sandy bunkers and water hazzards. Definitely will return next time we are in the area!

What a dog patch. I cant believe they charge people to play this course. Under construction is stating it mildly. Which I had saved the time and play a real course.

The course is reasonable priced. For the area. The club house is currently under renovation and should provide a place to purchase hot food and drink after a round. The course is not particularly challenging. Most of the sand traps are more mud than sand. Other wise the greens and the boxes are well maintained.

A round here will give new appreciation for the other courses. The club house was under restoration, I can deal with that, but one unisex restroom. As for the course, not in good condition compared with others, but they can at least supply you with sand to fix your divots. The bunkers look like they havent been dressed for quite some time with the amount of animal tracks, sticks and how hard they are. The on course restrooms are awful and the only ball wash stations are at the restrooms. There are numerous other issues, for now Id say find another course if you can.

Very happy with the new and improved version. Course in pretty good shape. Some of the greens need work. But all in all a nice day.

This course has came along ways in the last year. Fairways and greens are in good shape if you havent been in awhile you should try them out

Good for 9 holes. Liked that they dont throw the rule book at you.

Played last year and was in bad shape. Gave it another try since they had a good rate of $31 even for am tee time. You can tell the new management knows what they are doing. The greens tee boxes traps and fairways are now in great shape. Give this course another month and it will be back to one of the better courses on the area.

Great place to play in Myrtle Beach. Great price for the course. It’s not your high dollar course, but for 25 bucks it’s a great wide open course that is very player friendly. If you’re looking for a nice place to play this is your place. Very friendly staff. Great experience

Cheap enough green fees and if they ever finish renovating, the course should be nice. Now however; the back nine is under repair. Take something to drink with you. I didnt see any water jugs on the course and no beer girl. The staff were all friendly.

Played Azalea yesterday,Feb 4...As a senior got paired up with a very nice senior couple...Pace was right on and moved well...Im spoiled being working at Hershey Golf Club, on the outside golf staff...Course needs repair but i understand it will take time and lots of money..Please do something with restrooms....

If I could give it negative stars I would. So the price is cheap for Myrtle Beach but you get what you pay for. Bare spots in the fairways and on greens. My friend rented clubs because he didnt bring his. They gave him a mixed matched set. Some graphite some steel shafts. Driver had a dime sized hole in the club and a left handed putter. He asked for a refund for the club rental and they said NO! What a joke. They should have paid us to play this course. With so many options in the area, you would be an idiot to play here!!! Course was in decent shape. Greens were being plugged but still able to putt and werent that bad considering. Fairways in good shape and played well. Would play this course again and the price was reasonable. Recommend to play if given the chance.

Our foursome played golf here today. Very disappointing. The facility is in total disrepair. The person in the club house ( if you would call it that) could care less if we played there. The computer and point of purchase swipe was not working so we had to pay cash. No ice or water available. The temp was in the 90s..totally ridiculous! The fairways are in terrible shape and the greens horrible. Even though the price is reasonable, book your tee time at another golf course and be happy to pay a bit more for better conditions.

I actually like the layout of this course and its under new management. Lot of work going on at the course. My problem is no water coolers, no water fountain in clubhouse, but they will sell you a 20 oz. Gatorade for 3.25. Starter was nice and very helpful. Young guys in clubhouse really did act like they wanted your business or not.

Would not honor a GROUPON purchase, but explained why thoroughly, and offered a resolution. No problems here. Hope to play soon.

Course was in fair to good shape. Greens were fine but fairways seemed to be cut to short. Rough good and not to high. Stay out of pine trees. Pine cones huge.Had an enjoyable time. Hopefully the clubhouse will fully recover soon from storm damage

If your looking for an immaculate course with carpeted fairways and gorgeous greens, spend an extra hundred bucks and go to Barefoot. This is an average course, not overly challenging. Why 4 stars? It doesnt pretend to be more than it is. Its a playable course. Its fairly well maintained. The staff is very, very friendly. I have played it many times and been quite happy!

First of all this course is economically priced. 12 of the Greens were in great shape. Its a fun layout but there are those golfers that like to jump from hole to hole. Friendly staff and a great warm-up course.

Played here last year, somewhat disappointed. Despite a rough, cold Myrtle winter, Azalea Sands was a pleasant surprise. The fairways were perfect, greens an 8 out if 10. Roughs were kinda rough but hey you shouldnt be there in the 1st place. Clubhouse is closed due to. A water main break over the winter, buy again its all about the golf. Very enjoyable round. Great value.

Disappointed with greens. Greens were uneven. Fairway was sparce. 2.5 stars actually.

This course has great potential. It is being rehabbed under new management after years of neglect. Its starting to take shape. No snack bar, liquor license or on-course rest rooms yet. Ill be back to see their progress.

Decent easy course for the money. Problem, no yard markers. Under new management so there was no club house amenities so bring your own cooler.

I love golf at Myrtle Beach so i am willing to give a little. Yes the clubhouse is temporary but thats not why i came. The staff was friendly and helpful, and for the price I paid I am willing to work with them after a rough patch, which does describe most of the course. Temper your expectations and you will be fine.

I had fun playing the back side. Its fair, and hidden hazards are well marked. Greens are average speed and well maintained. Fairways are wide and in good shape. Path is easy to follow; hole yardage markers are well placed and easy to read. Good place to play.

Although the club house was closed, the employees made up for any short comings! The fairways were really nice and the greens were almost acceptable, just a little more time! Overall, a great value, would love to play there again when in the area.

This is a nice little course - flat, easy to walk, not too challenging. The greens rolled true and the ladies tee boxes were all in really good shape. Some parts of the course were a bit soggy from the sprinklers - but overall - the fairways were in good shape for this time of year.Staff couldnt have been more accommodating. I thought this course was a really nice play, especially for my higher handicap. I am not good enough yet to be especially critical of golf courses, but what I can say is that I did not feel intimidated by the course. There are a few challenging hazards throughout the course that take some skill to maneuver around, but nothing a smart club selection cant handle. It is not the most manicured course I have been on, but it does have the necessities of what a golf course has to have. The price is right on target. The staff was professional for me. The pace of play was good and it was not overly crowded for a Sunday afternoon. I definitely recommend and will be back to play again!

Economic golf course. Fairly straight forward layout. Conditions are average. When we visited you could pay to have a young lady caddie for about $100 per round. Never saw anyone doing this.

Very slow pace of play...

Staff was very friendly. No alcohol or snacks, so come prepared. That probably should have been advertised on the website. Course itself was not in the best of condition. Hell, one green was actually sand. Cheap prices, but not worth what you pay.

The staff were very nice. The course is not upper level like the more well known courses that golf vacationers are probably looking for. Every hole had a normal cup and an 8 inch cup for junior golfers. The big cups were in the back of the greens so I thought that was very cool. The kilted caddies had big cups as well! I also thought that was very cool too! Good place to play if you bring the kids or for a bachelor party with the kilted caddies. Not where you want to play with your wife.

UPDATED: Played there today 10/27/17 and the course is in the best shape ever. They are doing a real nice job on both the fairways & greens. Very good value course for the average golfer. Can usually play in under 4 hours. Craig and his staff do a great job making you feel welcome.

My buddy and I played Azalea Sands in late February early March. The course for this time of year was in pretty good shape. The course was not overly challenging (unless you made it so!) but made you play with course management in mind. For the price ($30 including cart) I felt that the rate was pretty fare. Staff were friendly and courteous. Only negative to report was that there were no restrooms available on the course.....

Older but easy course with relaxed rules. Bring your own cooler stocked with whatever you decide.

Plain and simple this course was awful. For any out of town folks looking for a nice round of golf near the beach.....this isn’t the course!! Course looks dead, greens in horrible shape. Unless you can get this round for free, don’t bother. Paid $38, drove to this course and immediately wanted my money back.

Hot day we knew it....no drinking water on course...no snack shack no restaurant no bar...cheap prices is not always the way to go.

Needs more players, hopefully eaglesnest owners can save it.

Me and my buddies take trip to Myrtle every year and this is our first stop. Dont expect Augusta, but the course is short and easy and the girls are the the hottest. Awesome little warm up round before the wages get high.
