This elegantly manicured park in a relatively quiet residential neighborhood forms the backdrop for bicycle polo tournaments, among other things. There are numerous amenities, including picnic shelters (with electrical outlets) which may be reserved in advance by calling the city. There is a swimming pool, as well as a volleyball court. There is a playground for children. There are hockey rinks, used in summer months, as previously mentioned for bicycle Polo which is a hoot. At the center of it all is the lake itself, at writing, ringed with Cattails and hosting flocks of ducks and geese. Its encircled by a lovely paved walkway wide enough to accommodate both cyclists and pedestrians. (The nearby swimming hole of Hiniker Pond is no more than a couple of minutes away on a similar trail.) There is also a pier, reaching over the lake, and a very photogenic gazebo, nearby. I will return, very gladly, as soon as I can.

Was not crowded. Love the sand. However, I do not like their rule of no flotation devices..no plastic..only foam. I really do not see the problem, especially for smaller children. My 10 month old granddaughter could not sit in her little boat floaty.

Beautiful Park in North Mankato. This park has 2 beautiful lake that becomes an ice rink in the winter. I had a great time playing with a drone and snapping some beautiful pictures from birds view (high altitude). Great parking structure and an awesome place to walk with you dog or just running. Student drivers use the parking lot for driving tests.

This is a great family friendly park. Besides the beautiful views there playgrounds. Volleyball.basketball.hockey rinks. Baseball field.soccer fields. Drinking fountains.you can fish. And there are covered areas that have seating for events. There are charcoal grills about the park. In the summertime they put on free movies in the park. And in the winter time there are lots of hills for sledding. And almost forgot there is a jogging trail all the way around it. Might see ducks and deer there too as they frequent the park as well.

The park has a paved walking path that goes around the small lake. Now that dogs are allowed in park, the path is almost entirely goose poop free. The park has baseball fields, 2 hockey fields that can be used in the summer for things like bike polo, and even plays host to pond hockey in the winter. 2 playgrounds and multiple gazebos round out this little park.

I would give it a 5 but it is a little to much geese poop, this might be petty but considering there are at least half a dozen, better alternatives within a ten minute drive its not so petty.-At least 2 PokeGo Gyms and half a dozen Pokestops-At least three decent sized roofed BBQ spots.-I wouldnt drink the water.-Volleyball court.
