Our family loves to hike here. It is easy to get to, designated parking area and well marked trotted trails. There are views spanning westward towards NH and boulders for the kids to climb on. I can foresee snowshoeing here in the winter. Glad we found this local gem!

Fun, short hike good for all ages. Final ascent to summit/Devils Den may be slightly difficult for younger hikers or hikers with accessibility issues. Quite muddy in spring months. Dress accordingly.

Nice, pleasant and easy walk through the woods, but the trail is poorly marked going up the North Peak Loop once you pass the rock formations. No scenic views were found. Very disappointing and frustrating. We met another family on the way down who live in the area and they agreed that it was poorly marked ... after 3-4 visits they figured it out.

Bauneg Beg is one of my wife and Is favorite local hikes. Sometimes we climb the main trail and get a workout, then sit on the top and take in the view, and sometimes we take the quick way up and meditate in the moss beds. Bauneg Beg is beautiful, when you reach the peaks you feel like youre in your own little grove, a secret spot, perfect for picnicking. If you visit, be sure to bring a camera!

This location is not where you go hiking from - it is a local house. The trailhead is nearby though - about a mile away.
