Had great seats. My granddaughter enjoyed the Virginia Symphony. We had soda, water, pop corn and M&Ms which cost me $19.00. I dont think its right to charge $5.00 for a bottle of water. The orchestra was on point.

Nice venue for a concert. Acoustics were great from all three seating levels, however......stay away from first 30 rows on lower level as acoustics are better recieved from the back rows. They have bars on all levels which serve a nice selection of adult beverages but limited food.

Everyone has preferences with where they like to sit in a theater but Chrysler Hall really does need a revamp. We lucked out with pretty good seats for Lion King but they had to limit the procession in the opening substantially because of the limited aisles. (The show was fantastic though!)

I adore the Chrysler Hall as a venue, they always have the best shows and artists. The seating is great for plays, you can get right up next to the stage, and the Cirque shoes allow you to be within inches of the actors and acrobats.

The show I attended there was TOP NOTCH! The center was nice. The only drawback was the elevator situation and having to stand in the heat until a certain time. The show was DEFINITELY for a mature crowd. So having to stand in the heat where the parking garage was located with car fumes was not fun. We(my 70yr old mother on O2 & myself) arrived early, thinking that was a good move. NOT! waiting outside for almost an hour with car fumes doesnt work to well for someone with respiratory issues. There were many elderly that needed to go back to their car and wait. Then there wasnt real order when they finally allowed the doors to open downstairs w/checking purses. Once we finally made it inside the venue things were great. The Adult beverages were delicious and the food/snack trays were a nice compliment. But again the show we saw (Gladys Knight & The Manhattans ft.Gerald Alston) WAS SPECTACULAR. if they come again WE WILL BE IN ATTENDANCE

Pretty sure there isnt a bad seat in the house. Ive sat in many different areas over the years and Im always in a good seat. If you need to read the captions, then you should try to sit closer to stage right near the front. Food and drink, including alcohol, are allowed in the theater if purchased inside of Chrysler Hall before the show or during intermission. Warning: there are very few bathroom stalls, and not enough time during 10 min intermission for the entire theater to get a turn. If youre not able to literally run from your seat, you wont get to go. Other than the bathroom situation, its a beautiful place. The hired security service is very welcoming and friendly. Theyre also familiar as they are at many venues in the area, so it helps to turn a special night out into something comfortable and welcoming. Parking is easy peasy, but be ready to dish out $5. Some park at the McCarther Center Mall, but I always park in the public lot across the street. Youll drive in circles up to the 5th or higher parking floor, but the elevators are never too far from your parking space. Go ahead and wear those heals, its an easy walk across the street and to your cozy seat.

Right up, very comfortable seating. Youre not squeezed into a sardine can seating environment, where you have no room to move. A very comfortable environment, allowing you to enjoy the productions being offered, wherever you are seated. The acoustics are off great quality that you can hear what is being said without being drowned out by the orchestra.

Went to Chrysler Hall to see Hamilton. The stage was clearly visible (as pictured). The food and drink was reasonably priced, they even allow you to take it in to the main theater. They serve a mixture of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Parking in the garage is $5 and they do have handicapped accessible elevators.

Saw Hamilton twice during its 19 day run in December 2019. It was amazing. The seats in the front of the orchestra were suprisingly comfortable and spacious. As a bigger girl, the balcony seats were a noticeably tighter squeeze, so be aware of that. Chrysler Hall is a very nice facility, but during a sold out show the intermission isnt long enough for everyone to use the restroom. I and many others missed half of What Did I Miss?, which is one of the most fun songs to see live. I greatly hope that with how successful the ticket sales were that Hamilton will be back! I posted a picture of the view from about 6 rows back in the balcony left seating area.

Great theater space in downtown Norfolk. Seating is good everywhere, but people with any mobility issues should take care to get seats not in the middle of the theater, which had no central row. Parking can be found below the theater in a decently sized parking garage. Evenings and weekends have affordable rates.

It is a good place to see a show, you do have to pay for parking but there is overflow parking across the street if the underground parking is full. Seating is auditorium seating and could be narrow or a tight fit for some. You can get a good view of the stage no matter where you sit. Overall, it is a good venue.

Visited last Saturday afternoon for showing of the 3rd Harry Potter movie while the Virginia Symphony Orchestra played the entire score of music. The Symphony were incredible and I can hardly wait for the next one. The facility itself could be improved. Seating is ok but tickets/prices are much higher than expected and too high for what you receive. There is almost no seating in the lobby area where you must wait for the doors to open. So arriving too early just means standing up for a long period of time. For $100+ per ticket I expect a bit more comfort .

Great Acoustics, Seats were in decent shape, However I feel bad for anyone sitting in the center who has to leave before intermission since the only way out is on the sides. Drinks were Theater Priced and allowed to be brought in. We had Orchestra Seats- Attached was the view from our seats. I was disappointed after seeing the VSO, the conductor never engaged the audience, which the BSO and SDSO both do. A solid 3.5 / 5.

Beautiful performance hall. The sound and ambiance were excellent. The seating is decent with more space in the lower levels versus the upper levels which are pretty tight. The access from the stage to the upper levels is pretty quick so performers can immerse you in the show. Loved the production! The sound system and lighting are excellent. The theater it self could use a facelift. The seats need to be larger. The aisles are also narrow, making it difficult for patrons to pass by seated patrons, especially since the rows are very long, with no aisle in the middle. If there were to be an emergency, many would likely be trapped.

Going to an opening night during the week is much less stressful for a couple reasons. First, parking is more readily available in the underground parking lot. Secondly, it is easier to get a better seat at a good price and lastly, it is easier to get to the restrooms and back to your seat during intermission. If you are bringing younger children, please teach them to be courteous by not talking through the program.

Responding to Chrysler Hall comments. As I mentioned, I came in a wheelchair and was directed behind Chrysler Hall to the scope. I would not have known to go to the scope and an elevator there. Will remember that for the next time, but as far as accessibility, this was woefully remiss. What should have happened was that I be directed to the front of the line like any other handicapped person. I dont mind taking a number to reflect my position in the wine but dont send me bouncing around over cobblestones and then threw a series of barriers that cant even accommodate a stroller much less a wheelchair. The worst experience Ive ever had trying to get tickets for an event. I came early for the 8:00 opening to get tickets for Hamilton in December.. I came in a wheelchair, they directed me outside for about 4 Block trip over cobblestones.I was bounced around for half an hour before getting into barrier lines to get in the theater. I had to get out of my wheelchair because the lines were too tight for the wheelchair to fit through it.Then when I got inside, I was number 580 in a line of 700 people to get tickets. After a two and a half hour wait, Im going to leave and try to get them on my computer at home because the Ticketmaster app itself blew. They should have made a larger window of at least a day before theyre released to the public to allow people to come in so that there is not such a rush to get the tickets. This was a major screw-up on their part
