The Chrysler Museum Glass Studio is an amazing place to go for a family event that is fun for any age. From Rob at the front desk who manages the class schedule to Karl, Avery, Luke, and all the instructors, the entire staff is friendly and welcoming. They take their time to ensure you know the steps to each piece and address safety at every step. We like it so much we’ve taken short classes to make Christmas ornaments to 7 hour stained glass classes. This is a great place to go to make gifts for family or an art piece to enjoy at home.

Except for the seemingly out-of-place ultra-contemporary pieces that seemed to be injected here and there for the purpose of political correctness, this was a fabulous experience to see and walk through. My wife and I loved it. And combining the museum proper with the Glass Art building, which entrapped my wife into her own interest to the point she even took a glassblowing class, completed the day for us. A totally memorable and worthwhile visit.

Just a random visit for my girlfriends birthday, saw an event online for glass pumpkins so we stopped by... Demo was professional and including the studio area and the glass pumpkin patch was on point . Definitely gonna start to frequent this place more often, wish I knew about years ago, Id have larger collection of designer glass trinkets...

Love the glass workshop in which they explained different types of tools and glasses they use.. awesome handmade glass collections! They take classes too for those who are interested!

Cool, cool and way cool.If molten glass art wasnt already amazing, the setup, video angles and live demonstration makes this a five star experience.Check them out, take a class, purchase some neat art. Youll have a blast.

Very informative and knowledgeable demonstration. The building is cool even with the kilns going. Beautiful work everywhere and the instructors made everything look so easy! This was my first experience of many to come.

The Chrysler Museum offers an hour-long demonstration of their glass studio. It is free, but tickets are required and are right on the Chrysler Museums website.It was very entertaining and the instructors were happy to answer questions, lots of interesting tidbits were given as well.

Exciting experience to see glass sculptures made 20 feet in front of you. I dropped one star only because the presenter struggled a bit with remembering her audience doesnt know the meanings of any terms of processes so she needs to keep wrapping everything she says back to what the end product will be. But otherwise, really excellent experience.

I love this place, the classes are so much fun, the instructors are awesome, wish they could do more of the pumpkin classes, they are an addiction I have so many color combinations I want to try, come on out and support the arts, you wont be disappointed

You dont need to make or have ever made glass to come down and watch one of these live glass blowing demonstrations; it was awe inspiring and a wonder to behold. Theres plenty of finished pieces to look at around the space too while you wait. I havent confirmed, but I think this is where you have the option of taking one-off classes too from neon to glass blowing works.

Hot spot! Every day at noon (except Mondays$ experience a live glass blowing exhibition. There are frequently visiting artists from all over the world. It’s a thrill every time you go because it’s entirely different every single time. They also offer classes in glass blowing and jewelry making.

They made a jackolantern. It was so cool just watching glass go from liquid into a glass pumpkin!

Have done 2 events here, the ornament and the pumpkin classes. Both were so much fun. The staff are always pleasant, knowledgeable and engaging. A really chill learning environment with a multitude of classes available. On my visit myself and two friends enjoyed a demo at noon by a friendly woman who made a beautiful glass octopus within an hour or so. Very informative and a large collection of art to look at. I highly highly recommend swinging through and enjoying a demo or taking a class.

I had the chance to see a demo on glass making today at the studio, and it was amazing. The gaffer was not only good at his job but also incredibly entertaining, and more than happy to answer any question.I suggest going after visiting the glass exhibit at Chrysler Museum, it will make the experience much more captivating. Will definitely go back for the evening shows.

This was my first visit to the Glass Studio and it was amazing! I did the pumpkin blowing activity for Halloween. I am thrilled with how my pumpkin turned out. This was such an interesting and fun activity! The staff was knowledgeable, helpful, and most of all fun! I definitely recommend trying this out. My friends and I plan to make this a yearly tradition!

Museum has nice variety of art and glass pieces, COVID-19 precautions in place so museum wasnt crowded, enabling us to really focus and enjoy the myseum.

My daughter signed us up for the glass heart class. Even though being around the furnaces caused anxiety the staff did an excellent job in allaying our fears. Our project turned out beautifully and I am planning to return to try something else. Awesome experience.

So my wonderful woman had planned a surprise for me to take to a class to make glass hearts and I couldnt have been more impressed with how fun it was and at ease I was to be around such dangerous elements. The staff was very willing to show us what they knew. I was very happy with Nikki and Matt explaining what would go on and what the needed me to do, it being my first time handling hot glass and working with them. I look forward to returning and making more.

This is so fascinating to watch them make the glass. It can get a little warm inside so dont dress in a sweater. I always enjoy all the different shows that they do here, especially their third Thursday events.

The free glass blowing is exhibition is amazing! It is a great activity for out of town guests and locals alike. The event is educational and amazing to watch professionals crafting masterpieces. It is wonderful to walk over to the full museum after and see the amazing art work across many mediums.

I visited the glass studio of the Chrysler Museum with my seniors group and we all thought it was wonderful. It was my first visit but some of the other club numbers had been there before. The presentations and skills demonstrated or incredible to say the least. It was a wonderful time well spent. Everyone learn a lot about glass blowing and he design and making of glass objects. I highly recommend a visit if you havent been there before.

Great place! It was my husband and I first time going to the glass studio. They had a special for all active duty military and veterans to make a glass ornament. Ive always wanted to attend one of their classes (pumpkin glass blowing) but its a bit pricy and cant afford it. This event was free, so thank you for honoring our vets!!! Everyone was kind and very helpful. Would love to go again.

The glass making demo was the best I have seen. We were able to watch an artist make a glass vase that was beautiful. Artists work with glass as they teach other artists. You will enjoy the visit. Just make sure they are doing a demo the day you go. Closed on Mondays.

The glass studio puts on fantastic demonstrations that are exciting, fun, and educational. The artwork that they create is amazing and the studio even offers classes.

I had the extreme pleasure to visit the Chrysler museum inNovember 2017 on Veterans Day and was able to help with the making of a Christmas ornament. It was absolutely fantastic. The staff went out of their way to explain what they were doing and to help with the process including allowing us to blow the glass and inflate the molten glass to form the ornament. Each and every staff member was fantastic and positive and upbeat and could not have been more helpful. I recommend this to everyone.

Coolest events on the 3rd Thursday every month at the glass studio. The museum is free, has a cafe and a fun place.

The free noon demos are fun. Took my parents when they were in town and they enjoyed it very much. Th following weekend my boyfriend and I did the heart class. It was so fun and exciting to make our own glass creations. Will definitely be trying out another class. The artists/instructors are full of energy and passion for what they do- I think thats what makes the glass studio experience so great.

The glass studio at the museum is the perfect place to watch demonstrations. Visit on the third Thursday of any given month for a unique experience. The staff is awesome and you will have a wonderful time learning and supporting the arts.

It was so much fun and interesting!! I loved it!

Weve taken two classes here, and they were both great. The instructors are very helpful and knowledgeable about everything involved and seemed to enjoy answering our many questions. The holiday ornament class seemed really popular and it was pretty crowded when we went, but for the sand casting class we were the only ones which made the class even more interesting since we got one on one attention the entire time. I definitely recommend trying one of the other classes that dont involve a holiday for anyone who enjoyed one of the holiday glass classes.

Not much was going on when I came. People were busy setting up. But they offer classes! Clean and educational. You can buy glass work and jewelry. They have free demonstrations.

Emily and the entire crew at the glass studio are amazing! They helped make our whole familys experience worth every penny and then some! We have done several classes now (Heart paperweight, stained glass sun catcher, and the ornaments) and plan on doing many more!

Incredible opportunity to learn about for blowing. The majority of the artists in the studio are women, making this location unique. They are open for third Thursdays every month in the evening.

Able to watch a glass creation from start to finish. Artists explain step by step. Plenty of room for onlookers, but does get rather warm in there. Pieces available for sale and pieces for just viewing. Easy to access from museum parking lot.

Third Thursday shows are the best. I love seeing how each group defines the art. The different themes even seem to effect the way the audience behaves and food and drink are a nice touch.
