Our daughter has been taking batting lessons from Michael for almost a year. I am so amazed at how much she has improved in her technique, but what is truly irreplaceable is the self-confidence he has helped build. Michael is truly amazing. He provides drills and practice that makes sense to the players. He explains things in a way that makes sense to them, and makes them reflective about identifying their own errors. Not only is he an excellent coach, but he cares about his students and treats them like family. Michael is a phenomenal hitting coach. With hitting, his technical ideal is truly sound, and he articulates perfectly with any age level (8U-D1 and beyond). He is able to segment technique into bite-sized and related lessons that are manageable, logical, understandable, focused, and easy to practice. This really helps with implementation.On the human-side of his coaching, Michael is a different breed. He is honest but supportive. He’ll see any and all flaws, but he works with his students - not above or against. Correction always comes with an explanation; he molds a hitter’s logic. If a technical flaw doesn’t make sense and seems wrong to the hitter, the student will probably work harder to stop doing it.Michael develops trust-based, fun bonds with his students and parents. He has brought my ridiculously shy 8U daughter out of the shell and into the lessons - pretty big deal. She has real fun, and it positively affects her love for the game.We drive almost 90 minutes one-way for lessons every week with Michael, and we’re genuinely happy to do it. We recommend him 110%, without any hesitation.

There arent enough words to describe how great Coach Mike is! Both of my daughters have taken hitting lessons with him and they both improved significantly. Coach Mikes way of coaching is very relatable to the athlete and he has an innate ability to connect with the players. He is very patient with them while doing drills and improving their technique. Michael Klim Softball is exactly what a training facility should be. The trainers are knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. The staff always go above and beyond to ensure everything is just as we need it. The training space is huge and has room enough for all types of practice from batting, pitching, to fielding. Coach Klim is something special to the sport. He doesnt just teach the swing, he teaches actual hitting. The mental side of the game is so rarely taught and many instructors believe mechanical lessons translate to in game hitting. Thats why there is so much churn in the industry amongst hitting instructors. His energy is undeniable as well as his core knowledge and compassion.

Michael coached my girls in high school ball and one in 18 Gold travel ball. I think his greatest strength as a coach is his ability to get the girls strong mentally and believing in themselves. He certainly has the technical skills to teach and improve the player but his calm and measured approach to coaching establishes trust and brings out the best of each player. Highest recommendation!

I personally have not been to facility so info on that should not come by my review. However I Coach an A level Fastpitch team and have been around the travel ball world for a little while now. And in my present team I have a few girls that train with Micheal. All of these girls have a very good IQ of the game with good mechanics. Even when bad mechanics show them selves I can see these girls re adjusting and making necessary corrections. These type of things don’t come naturally they have been taught this. This is a great instructor and I would recommend using him with any player I had coming up in this sport.
