Nice park with a lot of campsites. Also there is some newer cabins for rent. They are well maintained. But the prices are pretty steep at $120 per night. They also have some kayaks and pontoons for rent. Overall a pretty good park.

Love the ability to see water in the desert. Beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. Spotty internet service! Minimal fish available each time I have been! Veterans Day was more peaceful to visit...no crowds! Update the snacks and offerings in store! Pontoons are pretty nice on the average day! Add music!

Great weekend getaway spot. A word for my fellow campers out there. Bring ant killer and don’t leave ANY food out. The birds are like small, killer dinosaurs and the ants are EVERYWHERE. Also, make sure your kids don’t leave their soda cans out or else the bees will descend like the apocalypse. Fishing and boating was a ton of fun!

Great AZ state park. Has lots of sites for RV and tent camping. Some sites are even boat in only off the lake, so if you reserve one of those sites, you will need a boat to get to it. The RV sites have electric and water. No sewer hookups, but there is a dump station on site. There are cabins on site for reservation as well. This is definitely a family/younger crowd area, so it can be noisy after sun up until sun down. Tends to quiet down after dark. Main campsites are close together. Sites 1-12 are a littler more remote. There are campfires allowed on site. Half the lake is no wake zones. Good for canoes, kayaks, and fishing. The other half is good for fast boating. There are 2 boating ramps, one for day use and one for people staying on site. The day use ramp offers some limited boat rentals. Lake is rather large, so if you are canoeing or kayaking, be aware that you can get out quite some distance from the boat ramps and not realize it. Highly recommend this place if you like boating. About 20 miles east of Nogales.

Love the lake and slightly cooler temperatures. Nice facilities and lots of nice spots to choose from if you can ever get a reservation! I find it ridiculous that quiet hour starts at 9:pm even weekends and the rangers are a bit extreme about it. One came by our camp and made us turn the ballgame off even though it was as low as could be and still hear!

Such an amazing park!!! I really have to commend the park Rangers working here, I had passed out with the door open apparently I was woken by their knocks. By the time I woke up they were notifying me that my animals had made their great escape and brought them back. I really appreciate this Ive never had this happen before & I couldnt imagine how I wouldve felt If something were to of happen to them. Keep doing what youre doing and I really really appreciate everything that you are doing. Also amazing park!!!

Ive been going for a long time. The plus side is its an oasis in the desert. The minus is an oasis draws a crowd. Finding a secluded spot can be a challenge. Some boaters can be boneheads. This lake isnt ideal for power boating with tubes or skis etc. because of its small size. Too many boaters make a huge wake without being considerate of fishermen, canoes, etc. The park is pretty well maintained and Ive never had an issue with the staff. The fishing isnt bad but Ive been to much better fishing holes. Mostly good for catfish. Like most marinas, they corner the market so the prices can be a little steep.

We have been here several times and love it. However, this time, in the midst of a pandemic, despite notices of mask and social distancing, people are ignoring the mandates. The restrooms, at times, have up to ten people, no masks, most not washing hands and ignoring all safety suggestions. Most of the violators we have witnessed are campers, although the day users are equally guilty.

In Nov this park is absolutely gorgeous. The days were sunny and warm, and at night it was cold but perfect for sitting by a campfire. Lots of picnic sites in nature, and the lake is very accessible. A great weekend getaway for anyone.

The wildlife is something else. There is a lot of different types of birds. We even saw a hawk grab a bird for its breakfast. The park says theres bobcats but we werent lucky enough to see one. Loved this State Park in southern Arizona. When we went there werent a lot of people which made it great to enjoy the lake and outdoor activities. You can bbq, kayak, paddle board, swim, boat and much more. The park is very clean and scenic if you like being outside. There were a lot of people fishing but I didnt see any catches. If you want, you can walk around the trail and cross the arch bridge which is popular. Lastly, the water is refreshingly cold, so it would be best to go on a hot day if you plan on swimming.

We arent exactly avid campers but went this week during Spring Break. The campsites have a table, fire pit, and electricity. The bathrooms are clean and offer showers. Book well in advance, as its always packed. The rangers are attentive to any trouble making and keep it quiet 9-6. There is also a little market. The day use area has a cute little sand beach. If you want to swim in the lake, water shoes are a must...it has a very sharp, rocky bottom! A really fun place for anyone, including families with kids of all ages.

Patagonia Lake, in of itself, is lovely. That said, the people that frequent it make it an obnoxious experience. The number of boaters that flaunt the no wake policy for the east end of the lake is amazing. They either do not care, cannot read, or or just oblivious. The number of people that act like they are the only ones at the lake makes for a crummy, loud, obnoxious experience. Maybe we shouldnt have ventured there on the weekend an we may try during the week. Perhaps taht will be better. I recommend not going on the weekend at least.

Nice atmosphere.. A small lake by Az. standards, but water is always nice to visit when its 100÷ degrees. Great lake to kayak... Small boats are welcome but in my opinion this lake is for family swimming, kayaks, and canoes as they can go anywhere on the lake. Would have been 5 star but with the pandemic going on the (temporary) bathrooms while having hand sanitizer in them werent great.

This was a pleasant surprise! I was expecting just a little lake in the middle of nowhere but it was bigger than expected and it was pretty popular. Many of the camp sites were occupied, which are pretty close together. The beach area was great for my young kids. I saw plenty of people trying to fish but noone that we asked had caught anything. We tried going on a little trail hike but came to an area that had a bee hive in a tree that was right on the trail. We turned right around. Overall, it was a good experience. Everyone was friendly and it was very clean. It is hard to find outdoor things to do in the desert and I am so glad we found this little gem!

I grew up going to this lake with my Dad usually after Thanksgiving and have several memories. After many years of being away, Im happy to have gone back recently and found that it has come so far! I cant believe they have little cabin like rooms to rent now! And they rent pontoon boats now too, along with their fishing and paddle boats. Another thing theyve changed is they allow water skiing on the west part of the lake during the week. It used to be no skiing at all and those boats that could pull a skier was only allowed during winter months!

This place is good for a lake in the desert. The more they develop it the less outdoorsy it feels. It is beginning to feel a bit more like camping in a Walmart parking lot than being in nature, but if you like plugging your coffee maker and hairdryer in next to your tent, this place is for you. They have a convenience store that is a bit pricey and a great place to rent boats and buy tackle.

The park is beautiful and the facilities were clean and well kept. The only problem was spaces 103 through 107 were not really set up for travel trailers. They were straight-in parking spots with very little room to maneuver in order to park correctly. Also, the power and water hookups were on the opposite side so that cables and hoses would have to be run around the trailer to connect. It appeared as though the park made these spots for tent camping rather than RV use, but added power and water.

Just came back from a camping trip to Patagoinia Lake. Love the lake and the area. The campground is the problem. We were is site 74 which was close to the boat ramp which was nice because we brought our paddle-boards. The problem was our loud and rambunctious neighbors. Have no problem with enjoying yourself during the day but when it is 2:30 am and the party is still going., thats when I get irritated. Not sure why the rangers didnt come by later in the evening to make sure that every one can get a good nights sleep.
