Kinda lame. The only thing there is a piece of the original fort. I hope the excavation turns up some more artifacts to display.

Neat little place. Wish there was more information on the archeological aspect of this and more info on the boulder.

This is a large rock that sits on ground that has been claimed in turn by more nations than you might guess. Geologically, it is a large granite glacial erratic. A nice change of pace from the omnipresent local limestone, and an interesting spot tucked into a quiet spot near the river. Don’t miss it if you go by on the nearby bike route.

Interesting archeological dig sites to view. Go when there is an open house at the end of the summer, as they have reinactments, hands-on activities and walking tours. Targeted for a mature audience, but okay for young children.

Although there is no fort there to see, it is worth seeing only on a guided tour. If you can join a tour or attend an open house, the archeological project is very interesting.

Seen this while was just passing thru on my way to purchase a boat. We were on our way to the river for a test ride when I seen this Rock with something engraved on it. After leaving the river on my way back by, when I had a little more time, I stopped to check it out. For something located in a neighborhood setting where I would never think to look it was kinda cool to see such old dates inscribed on the rock. Also the sign with the brief history with the mention of Chief Pontiac, who is well known where Im from, was kinda neat.

A dilapidated and unkept or preserved site along the St. Joe river. Nothing to really see or do.

I grew up around here, this has been a part of the areas history and that sign has been there at least as long as I have.

This place is just a big rock and a couple of benches. There is neither sidewalk access nor parking for cars access...so literally you have to see it while you are driving. Very poor design.
