Gym is clean and organized. They have more than enough for what I need in machines, but the real perk if that you never have to wait to use them! Theres rarely more than 4 people in there on weeknights around 7-9pm. Staff is super friendly and helpful.

First time at Zumba and Rose was a great instructor!!Easy to follow!!Ill be back in a couple of weeks!!

The boys took the gymnastics class and had a great time. We also like the pool in the winter. The skate park good to learn on, though needs some maintenance. Havent tried out the playground yet.

I recently moved back to Newton. Newton Rec Center has always been a serene and comforting space for me. I’m looking forward to walking at there again.

A great place to play basketball for free, would recommend!

If your looking to play football try to not get in there referees will let your kid get face masked right in front of them and they will let it happen I mean there all really nice its just the referees

Recently went to get a membership at the wellness center with both of my parents. The staff is great. Neither of my parents have much (if any) experience with gym equipment and they were taken to each machine one by one and showed how to properly use it. I was floored by this! Happy to be a new member there.

Really enjoyed my experience there watching my grandson play soccer. Just would be nice to have more bleachers. Had to stand so I could see.

An excellent place for Newton Kansas to have doesnt cost that much to do things with your children there and you can have swimming lessons done and everything else theyre really good

People were kind of rude. I mean the inside is nice.... But the outside is eh. I guess things could be cleaned up more. I wouldnt bring kids here anymore. To many problems. Also the gym is limited

Wonderful place with home town charm. Family friendly and very involved within the community.

My kids love participating in the variety of activities offered. Great staff who want to provide many opportunities for families and our community. New is not always better. I would not go anywhere else for my fitness and activities if it is offered at NRC. Plus your not fighting the crowds and it is the a popularity contest like I have felt in other fitness places.

The place always looks clean. The pool area is clean. The staff seems friendly.

Smells clean and looks classy. The thing that threw me off was the chairs in the lobby, someone definetly needs to shampoo them!

I do not care too much for Newton but I do work in Newton if I had a choice I would not even work in Newton Newton is truly a place for black people not to go to and try to make it home the law enforcement is very rude and very very against other race the core system is very unjust and you can quote me on this I know personally

Wonderful facilities! Much prefer the gym floor space here vs. the new YMCAs.

NOt as new & fancy as the YMCA, but still a great local resource for youth activites and fitness.

Older gym that hasnt been updated in quite a while. Pool hours are very short and confusing. Maintenance on pool is terrible.
