This is the most beautiful library and art center in New England. I tend to be a grumpy introvert, but the Newport Library Arts Center brings out the best in me. It drives me to laugh, participate, interact, and have so much fun when I attend openings! I have taken classes, bought paintings and art work. Please go.

A lovely old home now a library with an attached arts center/intimate concert venue. Lots of local history resources. Conveniently located on the common with its own parking lot. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Worth a visit just for the architecture.

Great place for all kinds of displays, always Greatly Organized. Displayed very Tastefully. Staff very friendly, helpful, cheerful, very knowledgeable about items there. Also great knowledge on their surrounding town. Great Parking. Easy to Find center.

Very functional space for the various arts and crafts classes offered at the Library Arts Center in Newport, NH. So far Ive only taken basket weaving classes at the Arts Center. The instructor is a League of NH Craftsmen juried artist. Class participants choose from a variety of baskets* for the day-long workshop...students walk out with a basket woven with their own 2 hands! When the class participants arrive in the morning, all the supplies are set up at your workspace and the instructor gets everyone started and then goes around one-on-one with guidance. Very relaxed, fun atmosphere. *The instructor is also very opened to other design ideas and making adjustments.

Art classes here are excellent and the best prices around! Plenty of room for each student. The studio is clean and bright.

This place is a gem for young and old alike. The Peeps dioramas are always such a great way of bringing the community together.
