I have been visiting my good friend in NPT since 1989. I was so excited when the “boys” started a business down on Thames St. It was fun to watch the glass blowing etc . At some point, they opened a fabulous retail shop in town( actually up the hill a couple of blocks) . I have bought several gifts from the shop as well as the cane- fetti tall glasses and the Castle Hill votives ( as gifts ). ( I really wish that they also made old fashioned glasses as well with the colorful canes in them ). I get a lot of compliments on the tall cane- fetti glasses, and l wish that they made a double old fashioned cane-fetti glass as well.Years ago, they had a pair of cool tiki glass sconces in their shop... they were so funky and fun.When you visit the shop, you will be greeted by the most amazing and helpful sales staff. They are happy to show you whatever you want to see and answer questions... even if you aren’t ready to buy ... but believe me ... it is not easy to leave without a bag in your hand.PS l would upload pictures, but l can’t right now ... working on it .

Anchor bend does beautiful glass work from local artist right from Rhode island. I love my blue wave and sail boat from anchor bend. They keep refining their technique and create beautiful new pieces.

My wife and I walked in and were greeted by a lady eating at the front counter, with food falling out of her mouth while she spoke to us. She spit a potato chip at me while she was talking.She was rude to us when we asked about the work and just said if we weren’t going to buy anything to just leave. She tried name dropping a school, and bragged about her glass wares, which as far as we could tell were generic, low quality, intro level tchotchke knockoffs of no particular skill . All were the same piece over and over. Don’t waste your time here, instead there is a much better glass gallery right down Thames street that actually gave my wife a chance to make her own piece of glass! Such a rude and awful experience would rather die of intestinal flu than return.

Amazing glass art in Newport rhode island

Beautiful shop with wonderful art. Their signature Wave is a beautiful piece that they have in about 5 sizes. The octopus lamps are a sight to behold and the staff is very happy to talk to you about the process. Absolutely a must shop when youre in Newport.

Been a customer for 15 years, really love our original wave glassware. We’ve never broken or chipped any, and we break everything! We have since given sets for weddings, bday, Xmas...great gifts. Beautiful local handcrafted glass.
