This is a nice option in my neighborhood. It will be interesting to see what happens when the Rodney and Dickinson redevelopment is complete. Not certain what is happening to the parking lot after redevelopment?

You couldnt build this much fun if you tried. The entire club is fenced for security -- you wont lose kids and the grounds stay neat and clean. Inside are lots of activities beside a great pool -- volleyball, tetherball, basketball, soccer, swing set, 4-square, nice propane grille, and a great Snack Shack. Theres stuff going on all the time for kids and adults. The Oaklands Swim Team (the SLUGS) is very active, lots of Moms and Dads pitch in -- its a remarkable group of people who really enjoy each other. A great way to make life-long friends. You have to pay to be a member but its not too much. For summer fun, its the best value around. The place looks like a resort -- plantings all over the place, neat and tidy, cool colors and umbrellas everywhere, a mural covers the pump house (fun, lovely), and did I mention the Snack Shack :-) Check the place out if youre looking for fun in Newark.
