Ive been seeing the same stylist for almost 19 years, who quit recently due to covid. Coming here was completely out of my comfort zone, due to hair anxiety. (My hair is very thin and broken). First let me say, the two girls at the front desk were extremely warm and welcoming. Made me feel good right away. Secondly, Jessica Rivera was so sweet and nice. She completely catered to my hair fears and needs. She was nice and made me feel comfortable. Definitely will be returning.

Love Jen! Its been over 6 months since Ive been there and shes only cut my daughters hair but today she did mine and she remembered who I was and asked about my girls. Love the covid precautions they are taking. I felt safe and very happy to be able to have my hair healthy again!

I always get a great haircut, no matter who does the work. And (pre-Covid 19) they were always accommodating when I would just walk in for a cut. Very reasonably priced for a good haircut with a shampoo.

I wish I could show pictures. Although I can’t, I will just describe it. My mother went and got her hair done by the same stylist for years. This past time the total amount was 150$ for roots and a hair cut. Then she decided to curl my moms hair unlike any other time and was trying to convince my mom that it looked good. She got home and realized that her hair was partially white and partially brassy. There are brown spots all over the back and the cut is very very choppy. My sister went to beauty school and knows that stylists offer to curl hair to make hair cuts and hair dye blend together to look better so the customer doesn’t notice. Now my mom is out 150$ for hair that brought tears to her eyes. DO NOT LET ANY ONE CURL YOUR HAIR AND MAKE SURE TO OPEN THE BACK AND LOOK AT THE DYE JOB

This was my first time there for a cut. I went there about a year ago for an updo for my sisters wedding and it looking fabulous. This time I went to have my daughter and Is hair cut. The stylist who cut my daughters hair was amazing. She was very friendly and my daughter enjoyed the experience (she is 12). I believe her name was Lilly but could not find her picture on the site to confirm. My stylist, Joanne, was rude and short. She criticized the color of my hair and was very judgmental. When she was finished, she assumed I just wanted a wet cut. I asked her to style it for me and she spent a total of two minutes with the curling iron. If I would have known that, I would have left with wet hair and an additional $15 in my pocket.

New to the area and picked this place solely on the reviews. My stylist was Nancy. She was wonderful. Listened to what I wanted and did exactly that, along with suggestions for my hair type. Very satisfied.

Giving a three because I did see some staff that appeared friendly. My experience is that they are more about quantity vs quality. Sidney appears to be one of the nicest and she is the reason I scored higher than I would.

Well been going here for 25+ years.... Man I should be getting a discount. Carol and crew are great! Except the time she sat me with a new recruit....lets just say it grows back.

The Mens haircut is reasonably priced.They now offer a glass of Wine or Beer with your cut.I thought that was a nice touch.If I have a suggestion for that though:It might be better to have a server distribute to those waiting for the stylist or as you are walking back after shampoo to wait or get seated.I felt like I had to drink it fast or there would be hair getting in the beverage or the stylist would have to pause whenever you wanted a sip.Other than that, the people are very nice there.I love the owners that are always there and working.

AMAZING I was a walk in and they got me in to be seen in less than five minutes. Everyone was courtious and respectful. My hair wasnt quite what I asked for but it looked better than I anticipated!!! I would recommend them to any and everyone. I do think theyre a bit overpriced but well worth it. I havent been to a salon that offers alcohol but I like that they are accommodating enough to do so.

This was my first time experience with this salon and i should say iam so grateful for that, I went to cut my hair for donation and they did a wonderful job and my husband was so happy with the final haircut and donation cut procedure. I highly recommend this place.

My stylist was Cindy and she gave me the best hair cut i have ever had!!! She was amazing, took the time to talk about what cut would look best on me and was so nice and i felt like she really cared and how i felt. I will definitely be back.

The Town Hair Salon is not good for men. This Salon does not know how to really cut men hair and seems to mess it up in some way each time. I do not recommend

Kristin has been cutting my hair and my daughters hair for years, and we love our haircuts! She is always careful to listen to what we want. For years, I was told not to grow my hair long, but Kristin helped me grow my hair long in an age appropriate style. My oldest daughter has very curly hair, and Kristin is always able to cut her hair perfectly with beautiful layers. Its always even too, which was a big problem in the past with other stylists. She works carefully and confidently. Her experience shows!

Ive only been here 2 times and have taken my teenage kids as well. Each time we all got exactly the hair cut and/or color that we we wanted.

I have been going to Town Hair for over 10 years. Each time, I always request Nancy. Incredibly knowledgeable, and she always has the perfect suggestion for my hair. Because my hair is extremely long and thick, she has been particularly helpful with picking styles to accentuate my hairs good traits. It is COMPLETELY worth paying a little more to get her!

I have been going to Town Hair Salon for a number of years. They are great with kids - they know how to work with them to have a happy hair cut. However, their front desk is not very friendly and does a terrible job setting adults up with the right stylist.I specifically said I did not want ANY product in my hair and I needed a stylist who knew how to cut it/layer it so it did not look flat without product and showed the cut I wanted. I also said I wanted it cut with a razor. They said no problem and had me wait for a stylist. When I asked the stylist about getting it cut with a razor and she didnt seem to like the idea. Then when I started to I discuss the cut I wanted the stylist said it was impossible without product. First, the front desk staff didnt listen to a word I said and did not pair me with someone who could meet what I was asking for. Second, I KNOW what I asked for was not unreasonable. I always get my hair razor cut and it looks great. And Jenny B had cut my hair based on the exact same photo two months ago and it turned out fantastic without any product what-so-ever.I really needed the cut and Jenny B was not there so I thought I could get someone equally skilled by depending on the front desk. This is a mistake - just book an appointment with Jenny B and Jenny B only!After that Ive only gone to Jenny B. And if she ever leaves (moves to a better salon or starts her own place) I will go where ever she goes.

First time I visited this place . I got very bad experience she mess-up my hair she did too short my hair. I don’t encourage this place guys . She did it fast my hair cut done within 10 min.

I have been going to this salon for over twenty years. Ive only had one bad experience. But, the next time I went the girl who did my hair, did it for free. Theyve fixed a botched color job I did, helped me try new things, and even talked me out of cutting my hair because of a reason that turned out to be true. Theyre a nice group of people in there.

Went in for Charlottes cuts and colors - described what i wanted (golden - not ashy for the undertones) - and got the opposite - (very ashy - not golden) - ....when the girl turned me around and said do you like it? i said No! its way too ashy - she said i was probably just too hard to please (and thats a quote!) and didnt offer to fix it .... i have left a message for the owner to call back - but its been 4 days - no call ... ((the cut was nice - the color couldnt be further from what i wanted))

Ive been here twice and requested Jenny B the first time and opted for the at random salon pick the second time. Jenny Bs haircut was slightly better, but make no mistake - this is really a place you should be paying $13 for a hair cut (not the $20 they charge), and is by no means a salon. They hold their scissors horizontally when cutting mens hair, and not at an angle (meaning your hair will fall flat every time), and they didnt offer to use thinning shears for my thick hair. Meaning theyre not there to look after every detail and theyre not the level 2 or level 3 stylists type. This is slightly better than your moms haircut, which is usually OK for most guys. But dont try it if thats not what youre looking for.

I came in to get my hair colored and cut, and only waited a short few minutes. Everyone was very polite and quick. Alex Berger was the stylist who highlighted my hair, cut it, and styled it. Alex was very fun, skilled, and informative. She did a beautiful job with the highlights-- They looked immaculate, like the highlights of an angel or something.-- Then she cut and completely fixed the DIY haircut I had performed a few weeks ago. It looked like a change from night to day (I only wish we had taken before and after photos). I felt so relieved that she fixed my hair and made it better than I had ever hoped. Im so happy now, I feel like a star or a glamor model. :)

Had an early appointment at this hair salon, most of the time, the ladies that do my hair earlier in the morning have attitudes with me, but the lady that did my hair today made sure that I was satisfied and was very kind to me even though it was a little bit earlier in the morning, the salon was clean, the hair stylists clean their tools and their stations after every customer.

After two terrible visit to ulta and inexperienced hairdresser I came here and found my new stylist. I have curly hair that had a previous bad cut, Lisa was able to fix it and listened to exactly what I wanted.

I went to Town Hair Salon in Newark (Peoples Plaza) for many years. One day I needed to return hair spray that I purchased there -- the nozzle would not work correctly - I just wanted to exchange it. The owner was at the front desk and was so rude to me. She proceeded to berate me in front of many people in the waiting area. It was so embarrassing. She was accusing me of purchasing it somewhere else until I produced the receipt. I couldnt believe the lack of class and immaturity that she displayed. Never ever will I step foot in that place again because of her behavior.

I have been here 3 times, my daughter once. Each time dissatisfied but end up going back in a pinch because it is so close to our house. My daughter had her hair done here for a formal dance...she came home looking like she & a friend did each others hair; not looking like a trained professional designed a look and then accurately carried out the design with attention to detail. My daughters braids were lopsided with inconsistent tightness. Moreover no attempt was made to cure her numerous fly away baby hairs that frame her face. My experiences were all mundane, I have short hair; thin in the front and thick in the back. The stylists were unable to craft a haircut to accommodate my specific needs. One time my hair was so bad that I had to go back later the same day to have it fixed....meaning a very short cut.Next time if we need convenience, we will go to a discount hair cuttery instead of this imposter salon.

Expensive and the staff well, is not very friendly and professional. Overall not a great experience with my cut and color. I doubt I will ever get back to this place.

I am one of those people who has awful, gross, ugly hair. Its thick, frizzy and curly! And its not cute curls, its just big, frizzy, dry hair! I have done everything to get straight and silky hair. About 6 years ago, I started getting Japanese hair straightening and hair relaxers. Well, they damaged my hair to the point where it was falling out! I started going to Kristin H. at Town Hair and she has literally worked magic on my hair. Kristin H. taught me how to keep my hair healthy and stop damaging it. She nursed it back to health for me!!! Now, I see her every six weeks for a mini keratin and IT IS LIFE CHANGING! My hair is perfectly healthy, has zero frizz and my style time has been cut in half. It used to take me two hours to straighten my hair. Now, it takes me 20 minutes tops! Also, because of my mini keratins from Kristin H., I can leave my house with wet hair and just a little product in it, and I have perfect beachy waves- healthy and frizz free! For anyone who wants healthy, frizz free, shiny, silky hair--- go see Kristin H. at Town Hair for a mini keratin. My cousins actually drove 90 minutes from Ellicot City to go to Town Hair for mini keratins with Kristin H.- thats how worth it they are. Town Hair is very affordable and I have never ever had to wait for my appointment. Kristin is the best stylist I have ever had, and trust me, Ive been all over the place! She does every single up do, cut, color and keratin treatment on me. I wouldnt let anyone else touch my hair now! Thank you Kristin!!!

Horrible experience . Went there on last week no one greet me or ask what did I want. Woman upfront was keep chatting with someone not paying any attention to me. Waited 10 minutes and just left. SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL
