Such a beautiful place but the banquet manager was the main cause for such a bad review! She is very mean, bossy and unprofessional. All of us were under the impression we had access to the kitchen but this lady kept kicking people out of the kitchen. She felt she had to touch our food, dictate how things should be ran and had really bad attitude. Our tuxedo shoes left black scuff marks on the floor, I noticed the children scraping them off the floor, I first thought they were just playing around but come to find out this manager went behind our backs and made our children scrape them off the floor. One of our family members helping with the food went to use the dish washer, I stop them because we didn’t have permission to use it, the manager felt that she had to be mean about the situation and said “hey! don’t touch that machine because it’s cost $65,000” mind you I already took care of the situation right in front of her. During setup we needed more tables for the buffet dinner we were having, the manager got mad and said “you guys have way too much food”, as she got the additional table the manager open the legs and threw it into place which startled everyone in the room because of the noise, she then turns to me and said you need to move the wedding cake, mind you we were setting this place up NOT her. There are more facts but I wasn’t there to witness them.Don’t get me wrong, the place was awesome, it was just about right for hundred guests but the banquet manager ruined it. I will not got back if she is still there working there and that is a shame because I really loved how old the house is.
Very historic
