Attended a Christmas party there. The bar area was fine for the size of our group however it was so loud that I had difficulty talking with the bartender to request a beverage. On the other hand, the dining room was perfect for our size group of 60 to 70 people. The dance floor was a perfect size for our group and the acoustics were pretty good for chatting with friends, even with a DJ playing our favorite tunes.The only shortcoming, the staff could not keep up with the demands of the dessert/beverage table. Not enough coffee and coffee cups, dessert replenishment was very slow. Didn’t seem to be anyone monitoring the consumption, but the quality of the desserts were very good.

Newark Country Club is fantastic! They cater to your every need. The food is great the atmosphere is great everyone on the staff just wants to make your visit memorable. I highly recommend Newark Country Club for your special event.

Visited for a private holiday party. The food was very nice. Label on the roasted root vegetables would have been nice as most thought they were roasted potatoes to much disappointment. The staff were all wonderful and very attentive except the older woman at the desk at the door who was on the phone and wasnt any help when I arrived late not knowing where to go. Decorated very nice for the season. Especially liked the lights strung around but the chandeliers couldve been brighter. There can still be ambience and be able to see ones food. Over all very nice and spacious.

The course is pretty, but its not overly impressive. They have some grouchy members that let you know your place, and lousy food. Have had 2 meals here in the year and there is no flavor. The staff though was nice on all occasions. Theyre running specials for public play, and can hopefully fix the other issues

Great place for a get together. Whether it be a small event or a larger one. The Newark Country Club is the place. Great management and waitstaff.

Attended a private event. The Newark High School Alumni Association hosted their annual Fall All Class reunion gathering and scholarship fund raising event. NCC Staff were most supportive. The food was delicious and plentiful. The bartender was an exceptional mixologist!

Excellent, staff is friendly and treats you like family. Course doesnt beat you up and, is one of the best in state.

Worn and shows it’s age. Facilities are in need of updating. Far superior Country Clubs available in the area.

Overall? Fantastic. Great location. Accommodating management and staff. Lots of history (attended 95th anniversary as part of the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce) and met many connected and influential people from nearby. Updates! If you have not seen this building recently, you deserve to visit. Lots of parking. Beautiful course. Majestic and at the same time, not pretentious. Looking forward to next visit.

Clean and friendly

I visited here years ago and havent been back since. They have sold our phone number to a company Direct Fairways that continues to call us every day from different phone numbers asking to do marketing at the Newark Country Club. How dare you sell our information! and how many times do we have to tell that company NO we do not want to do marketing with the Newark Country Club. We have asked repeatedly for them to stop calling us and they wont. Thanks a lot Newark Country Club! :( Please stop harassing people and selling our information to telemarketers who obviously have unscrupulous tactics.

Luncheon food was tasty.

Finally got to play there and on a perfect day I had the best time golfing in a long long time. Course was absolutely perfect and the staff first rate.
