This park is decent, it even has a bathroom. The scale of the park though is not so large. A decent place for a quick few minute stop but, thats about it.
Hello every one welcome all new people new eye balls and new beeeeeeeeeeeeeeez thanks for reading my post here we go nice park here if you like to read books be on the phone jog run play ball eat your food and chill nice atmosphere here very laid back clean fun to be in people friends here no knuckle heads but always be on guard so if you are near here come on down get some air sun on you untill then peace
Ruef field and track is nice. Fitness park is cool, and people have brought over extra equipment. Court is nice. Bathrooms are open. The only issue is the vagrants who can get rambunctious at times but theyre usually pretty chill.
Cool for street workout. Only things missing is a straight bar for the flag and a pullup bar for freestyle (without anither bar in front)
Awesome experience! Try it & look for Shawn The Ambassador.
Was part of a breakfast run bringing breakfast, lunch, and clothing to the homeless and food insecure. Warm welcoming place
Neighborhood park, overall great park just few homeless people around. Like any other place.
It was a good way to relax and do something with family.
Lots of ppl working out. Not a lot of them wearing masks so beware and be sure to mask up if you have concerns
Diverse which is ok, well kept .yet too many homeless and a soup kitchen is across the street
I use the track at Chelsea Park. Its a space for running, walking and a playground for the children... Also if you just want sit and enjoy the day...good park
Great place to play soccer. Crowed on weekends.
This track is not designed for running fast. Its only 3 narrow lanes wide and has 90° turns. The only markings are the start and finish line and where it tells you the distance around is 960 ft, making 5.5 laps a mile. If you are looking for a place to walk, go to the high line instead. If you are looking to run, good luck!
Too MANY homeless persons in park. Not able to enjoy fully. I was very disappointed. Hopefully better next visit to the city.
This park is amazing but staff do a terrible job cleaning it
Awesome place to relax and enjoy the view. Great place for pictures. A lot of people are running there early in the morning and this is what I have been doing for a long time. In the evening is great when the sun goes down. The park is really clean.
Too many homeless people here for my liking. But, if that doesnt bother you during a pandemic, the astroturf that isnt covered by vagabonds is nice.
Interesting variety of people, basketball court, jungle gym, sprinkler, benches, track and field, and restrooms.
Nice People, opportunities to walk, workout, play ball, cardio, see trees and sky!
Only went to the running track and field. The park and surrounding area has a bunch of hobos and crackheads. They would wander onto the field too. The track is small, 960 meters per lap, not made of rubber, only 3 lanes, plus no markers for sprinting, had to approximate. The field is dirty. Oh yeah and the restroom is out of order haha...I guess the only good thing about it is the city part of it. I will not be coming back just to run anymore dough.
The park had these long heavy metal bars that work for weights.
One of downtowns best places to go to
My daughter loves this park
Its a nice park to play and do exercise
Solid NYC Park. Lots of trees that provide much needed shade on a hot summer day. Seating options include both picnic tables and benches. There’s a sprinkler, a playground, large basketball court and handball courts. Went on a Sunday day and it wasn’t to crowded. Clientele is chill and family oriented.
Small park but with very nice playground. I go there sometimes and play with the local kids, they are very friendly so even if you are alone they will find you a place with the team so you can enjoy a good game.
Awesome experience
Sports park, artificial grass turf, running track is great
Its a cute park especially because they have a playground, a water spout, a soccer/baseball field and ball courts. But its one of the least cared for and dirtiest parks in Manhattan! Parks Dept needs to do a better job!!!
I used to come here to rest before Thursday night gallery crawls. Nice little park but it is primarily for kids, I think.
Great cute little park that I randomly came across one night. Its right next to the water and has a lot of benches just to relax and enjoy an evening stroll.
Not that well maintained. When I tried to enter through an entrance close to the restrooms, I was stopped by a park worker. When I asked for reason he said its closed. Apparently I could see people in the park. I demanded to know the reason for stopping me and he tried to intimidate me by coming close. (he was huge in size and had a rugged look). Then another worker interrupted and said its closed. But I could see that people were in. I got an important call and had to leave it at that. But something seemed fishy with the workers gathered near the restrooms and not letting people through in a public park. It was a week day around 3pm.
A unique marketplace with variety of stores and restaurant. This is one of my favorite place @NYC
The city has managed to incorporate the old with yhe new, shops are verry expensive, but if u can affrod to live here . Money isnt a prob.
Beautiful place. Looking to comeback in the summer
Very nice area of greenery in the city. Pleasant place to visit!
Good Workout park
If you happen to use a good turf as main field type, you will be happy about it as its a great quality. For sure Football, soccer, there is a track along. Beside that the park is like every little parks in New York, charming but nothing that great. Would recommend for Sport Reasons :)
Its a MUST summer walk, is sad that the view from the park is getting stolen but the buildings around it, that are probably sold with the park view as an attraction. Perfect for walking alone, friends or family. Wear sunblock and sunglasses.
Well lit at night, so you can get some decent photos while your friends play football ;)
Nice pla e to waste an afternoon morning and, in case I dont see you later, good night. alrighty then.
I love the community atmosphere, as well as friendly NYC PARKS AND RECREATION workers, which adds to a truly unique family experience
Love the exercise equipment
One word that describes my experience BRILLIANT
I tried to find a horizontal bar close to my work where I sit whole days. And no-one Google photo shows it. But Chelsea Park has playgrounds with horizontal bars (I posted 3 photos).
Maybe i just love everything Chelsea. I do! So strolling through and around Chelsea Park is lovely...they have worked hard at the cleaning up of the old Health Care building on 9th Avenue & thats a relief & so pleasant now. The cobble stone walkway was kept in tact around the front...ahhhh, old cobblestones. And the entire park has been renovated over the last year or so ago, so kids & everyone benefit from the playground itself to the soccer field. Good!
I like this place
Could use more food spots but very nice outting for date night
Clean and full fresh air. Quiet sitting areas.
My Favorite park to do calisthenics exercises without a gym near by
Nice place to visit
Beautiful place! So relaxing.
This is one of my favorite parts in Manhattan. The views of the Hudson are awesome and its a great place to sit back chill and relax. Its in a great are too with the highline and close to restaurants.
The calisthenics workout area needs a cleaning
Amazing Park especially for pick up soccer games great place for a workout or just to people watch and relax best in the area.
Good food but a lot of people there.
My coworker pared over there. Lots if people having fun
Its NYC beautifull from a distance you can keep the agresive drivers showing no curtersey no parking congestion on and on its no fun any more
A beautiful place and wonderful way to see the city
Great group of handball players gather after work on weekdays. Come try it out.
I fell in love with NEW YORK all over again.....CHELSEA IS THE GREATEST
Nice place to wine down and relax before going home.
I like walking around the track field
Needs better trims and court is slippery
Great park a lot of people like to come and enjoy the soccer tournaments.
Amazing newly remodeled playground. Awesome equipment with lots of climbing options and other play parts to engage the imagination. Fantastic!
Ive been here a few times for Softball games, good for sports.
Nice, quaint, neighborhood park, pet friendly with omg lol some real grass areas your four legged family members will enjoy in this concrete jungle!
A nice get away while touring the city
Theres- a basketball field, - a huge soccer field (which can be split into smaller fields), - a cricket/ tennis area (not a real field, but u can exercise there)- a kid area,- a few calisthenic equipment where you can work out (3 abs bench, some bar to do muscle-up and triceps).Great place to do some sport.
Very Good for Exercise.
Awesome park!
Beautiful park and great place to chill
Great atmosphere and friendly staff made our night great!!!
Lots of places to sit and social distance
I love this area of the city, great place for restaurants, shops, etc etc
Nice place. Clean. Nice childrens playground.
Good
Great place to work out, save the occasional sent of weed.
Nice relaxation place in a jungle of skysrapers.
No lights.. smh
The bike path is great, the activities along the park are wonderful. Free kayaking in the summer at the boathouse, mini golf, volleyball courts, and plenty of seating and grass. The raised platform park is pretty as well. Usually packed but definitely a good walk.
I love playing socc here in this park
Cool and worth going afterall
Plenty of space for children and adults to have a great time at the park
Nice park
Manny interesting people living life at this park
Its ado peaceful and clean
Newly remodeled with an excellent playset and swing area.
3.5 - it has a busy field that doubles for soccer and baseball. not a fan of the AstroTurf that comes apart and gets stuck on feet, socks and shoes. there is a wall you can practice handball and racquetball.
Great park in the city.Unfortunately it can get very busy during the Spring/ Summer. They have a place for basketball, football, baseball and high intensity training. Have fun and enjoy the great outdoors of NYC.
