A beautiful historic Broadway theater. Mean Girls is currently playing. Before that we saw Groundhog Day. The best ladies room on Broadway. Lots of stalls and there’s an “air traffic controller” person directing you and encouraging everyone to be efficient in comedic style. Really big bar downstairs and comfy seats. A nice visual display downstairs showing the history of playwright August Wilson and the theater

Broadway is and has been deserted ; midtown is a ghost town ; downtown is city hall thats aka clown town; the upper west side once Manhattans pride is on a steady slide into demise ; no time to despise ; pick up the pieces clean up the Feces ; NYC has always reinvented itself for better or worse alot of us will curse as we get to work greasing the machine that is NYC our heart our strength our life we would never leave as we delight in the fight

My sisters and I attended the production of mean girls. What an incredible cast (5 stars) these talented actors danced, sang, acted their tales off!!!!! My only annoyance was the amount of songs they sang. It was 30 songs for an almost 3 hour play!! The play was extremely long with only 1 intermission. The play began at 8:03pm and ended at 10:54pm.There is no leg room for individuals sitting in the upper area of the theater. The lines to the bathroom as well as exiting the theater was a disaster. It took forever to walk down the flight of stairs because it was so congested. This theater is in desperate need of a thorough renovation! One more thing I want to mention, just before the play began a caucasian gray haired man shined his light on our row. He yelled at us to turn off our cell phone. Our row all looked at each other to see who had their phone out and it was no one that attitude that came from this man was unnecessary.

We saw Mean Girls here. The staff were very helpful and accommodated one of our guests that needed ADA entrance and alternate movement through the theater. Seating was comfortable. We had great view of the entire stage. Sound system was flawless. The play was updated for a modern audience. The technology they used for scene changes was outstanding and delightful. The songs were fresh and well done. The message of the play was appropriate for the modern audience. There was an intermission. Appreciatively, this play was longer than expected. The exterior window display was fun to take family photos in front of for the You are with the cast feeling when sending the photos to friends.During the play the audience is appreciated when wearing pink in solidarity with the characters in the story. I recommend this play for a great experience in NJ.

Has to be a very well laid out theater to put on such amazing productions of Jersey Boys! Staff was very welcoming and are excited that you are there taking in the joy of such an amazing show. The show is way better than the movie which is interesting to say the least but not completely unheard of as far as film adaptations go.

This is a great theater with a great play. Mean Girls was fantastic and definitely worthy of being nominated for best musical. The theater assumes the personality of the play with decorations that embody the musical tourist to see.If you do come to this theater you can be expected to climb stairs as once you enter the theater, you have 25 stairs to climb to get to the orchestra level. Make sure your investigate the accessibility options if they are needed.

Saw Mean Girls here. The theater was super well run. The drink line was efficient and quick. They poured the double wine glass generously. And they had multiple people keeping the bathroom line under control. Since there were so many more women than men they started having women use the mens room after all the men finished. They made sure everyone got through the line before the second half started! It was so impressive!

Im attending theater performances since young age, and this time it was Mean Girls. I was really thrilled with a composition, actors effectiveness, great quality of voices, power of expression, and hiper dynamics of the musical. Of course, there is no correlation with the book, but I consider thats a plus. The play/ musical exhagurates a high school politics and actions, but it generates great interest from a younger audience. The theater itself provides sufficient intermission by utilizing consieuege services. Also, it has informative display of theaters performances since 1911.

The play, Mean Girls, was really enjoyable. The singing was great but something about the acoustics amplified it to a screech. I was on the back row orchestra. First time in NYC so we had to go see a show. Mean girls was great. Every seat in the theater has a great view. We got last minute seats and we were close to the last row but still felt like we were really close. Drinks are very strong and you can preorder drinks for intermission. the bathroom line for the womens bathroom during intermission was ridiculous. The staff was allowing women into the mens bathroom stalls to speed up the process since the mens bathroom was almost empty, which was great for all the girls. Highly recommended.

Only one downfall was price of the snacks. $14 for a small can of Beer is unacceptable and daylight robbery. The lady in front of me in the queue was charged $66 for two beers and two spirts with soft drinks. $66 for 4 drinks two of which were cans that retail for less than a dollar. Shameful as that will be my lasting memory from my visit.

A beautiful theater with gorgeous decor! I liked that it wasnt extremely huge. The balcony was still a good view of the show, but the con is that the stairs arent steep enough to take away the head of the person in front of you, I was looking around him the whole time. The bathrooms got pretty messy after being used 300 times but thats expected. At least there seemed to be a fair amount of stalls to try and accommodate as many women as possible.

Needs to be a better restroom system! The ladies room line was crazy long, and after wasting a while in that line they started ushering some of us over to the mens room, but even there it took too long, and we ran out of time. It would be nice if theyd A) renovate the restroom situation to better meet customer needs, and/or B) extend intermission time to accommodate on the restroom line situation. I didnt pay over $700 on tickets to suffer through the second half of a show because I wasnt allowed the time/resources to get relief for my poor, small bladder.

Great experience here! We came to see Mean Girls on 6/7/19 and I had injured my knee on the subway earlier in the day. I could not bend it fully to sit in my seat and we were in the mezzanine section. After 10 minutes I just couldnt do it anymore. I went to the lobby to sit down and was in tears. A gentleman came over to check on me. He had helped me in the building earlier and was just checking on me. I told him the seat was too confining for my knee. He helped me down the steps and put a chair on the side by the handicap restroom for me to watch the rest of the show. He was so thoughtful and kind. He made what would have been such a disappointing day so much better. The show was sold out so there were no seats to move me to. I really wish I would have gotten his name. What an asset to your theater!

Mean girls was great! Id give it a 5/5 for sure, the theatre however is a bit of a joke...Im not incredibly tall, far from it at 510, but the seats are SO cramped, it feels like sitting on an airplane! My knees were up against the chair in front, this coupled with the tiny seat width makes for a very uncomfortable experience. To top it off, the seats arent staggered in their rows, so the seat in front is directly in front. This means if you have a mildly taller person in front you cant see the show at all, expect your neck to be sore by the end of the night, along with the rest of your body.Cute old theatre, but needs a better design.
