Horrible and poorly managed nightclub. Waited outside for over an hour even though we reserved and paid for a VIP table. MAJOR PROFILING! They pick and choose who they want to let in. Others with VIP tables were able to get in right away but some had to wait. They charge different entrance fees based on how you look. My friends all got charged different fees. They dont have the downstairs bar open, which caused upstairs to be extremely crowded. Drinks are way too expensive. DONT GO HERE ITS NOT WORTH IT.

I tried to enter tonight because I wanted to visit the place since so many people talk about it. First they had no private party or anything because before I called, I already found out everything before arriving because well, being at the door I was going to pay $ 20.00 to enter and in what I am taking out the money came a safety a fat and hairy talking to me badly that I moved and to take me off the line, I moved because I thought someone was going to happen but it was not like that. I meant that I wanted to get out of the line. I moved and I felt very bad for his treatment because I was very well dressed and willing. to pay my money for them to be so rude, the truth is a place of great fame but with very bad service of their securities.

The upstairs dj literally only played Drake and the drinks are insanely overpriced. The downstairs part had way better music and the crowd was way more chill. The staff is very rude and they just walk around with flashlights yelling at people the whole time. Pretty much just don’t go if a promoter doesn’t get you in cause you’ll be charged for everything. So if you like Drake and paying over $20 for one drink then this is the place for you

We had an entourage of big spenders and made sure we had a good table. Unfortunately the service is the worst I’ve ever seen for a NYC club/lounge. I spoke to the manager and promoter to no avail (both were on ego trips). We spent close to 12k and would never waste that type of money here again. Avoid This spot there are dozens of better spots in the city.

The asian bartender downstairs who’s bald and wears glasses made me wait literally 45 mins to get a drink. On top of that he disrespected me by throwing my debit card at me not once but twice when I paid. To say the least bad service but to throw an object at a customer who spent $200 at the bar should be fired and not have a job!

Went here on a Friday and the rude bouncer told us that for us, the cover was $60.....unbelievable. Dont waste your time or money trying to come here.

The baseman reminded me of college party wayyyy too dark and filled with people. Main floor is where artists perform but to get in you need a stamp if you’re with a promoter sometimes you will get it other times you won’t then you will get stuck in the baseman. Tbh place is cool but wayy too strict and hyped up.

This was a horrible horrible place. One person working there said something horrible about my sister and I tried to speak to the manager and people in charge and they were so rude especially the woman who said she was in charge that night. It was my little sister’s bachelorette and they completely ruined the night and made everyone cry. Don’t ever go there!!!

The staff is extremely rude to patrons. The bathroom attendant in the womens bathroom berated me and a friend because a drink was spilled. We politely asked for paper towels to clean up the drink and she continued to yell at us, refusing to give us anything to clean the mess (the floor was already soaked because of other drinks that were spilled mind you). She then threatened us, saying that she would remember us when we came back, and we will be back. Not sure what she was planning on doing if we returned, but needless to say we did not return to the bathroom.After this happened, I was waiting for a friend upstairs when the bouncers were shoving someone out. I moved out of the way so that I wasnt in the bouncers path, however they still somehow found a way to shove me into a wall and out the door. My whole entire back is bruised due to this incident.This was the worst experience I have ever had at a club and I will not be returning.

Manager Didn’t let us in because one of our girls had sandals, other group of girls came in with sandals and they got in and pretty much other people as well because “ they dont know who they know” meaning I guess If they probably know someone famous or w.e also we were the only Hispanics, manager and the rest people coming in weren’t.

The service here is just really bad. The drinks are super overpriced, the music isnt good. Theres a hundred better spots in NYC - really no reason to go here. The open bar on Fridays is a gross scene and Id much rather just pay for my drinks at a decent spot.

SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This place is ridiculous and I have never felt do disrespected in my life. I drove here from Canada to visit a friend but because I arrived late I drove us to the venue . We had bought tickets (for a very hefty price of $37 AFTER the promo code) to an event held at this venue. There was a group of 5 of us and we all had previously purchased tickets that were scanned when we were at the front of the line. The security guard proceeded to let us in so as you do when you are a group I followed my friends. I was very taken off guard when the man letting us in threw his arm in front of me and proceeded to yell Dont touch me, back up. Dont touch me or Ill send you home. Some girl had walked in after my friends who came out of no where and instead of grabbing her he didnt let me in and was extremely disrespectful. Thank god the other security guard noticed that had happened and I was let in. AFTER getting in and finding my friends we went to the bathroom. While waiting for one of our friends to come out of the stall one of us accidentally leaned on the light switch ( WHO PUTS A LIGHT SWITCH IN A BAR BATHROOM AT ELBOW HIEGHT WITH NO COVER!?) and the lady who hands out the paper towel came around SCREAMING Dont touch the light, I see what you are doing. Ill kick you out. Basically, if I could get my money back and never go here again I would. P.s - Drinks are $22 each.

Fun but not the New York night life I expected

We entered into an extremely packed club, led by a gracious hostess who led us up to a private table with seating. The service was outstanding, the DJ was on point, security was extremely attentive. They made sure that our group and the birthday girls were well taken care of. This is a spot I would recommend for a birthday bash and will hopefully return again. Thank you guys for everything.

Went here with a group of 6 girls. The bouncer literally splits us up and attempts to charge us based on how “attractive” we were: half of us for $20 and the others for free. So degrading and inappropriate. Will never step foot near this classless establishment again.Oh and for the record - we watched them let in a group of a bunch of guys after us. Go here if you want a sausage fest and to be told by 45 year old bouncers that you need to pay to make up for not being what they consider attractive. So pathetic I can’t help but laugh.

If you have tattoos do not go here! They said $300 just cause I had tattoos. But once they said that best believe I bought a table. But if you don’t have the money and you have tattoos avoid this place! They discriminate!

I got injured in the club and in the property. They charged us $30 for band aid. This is ridiculous, to charge when you are the cause of an injury. This is illegal and not okay.

Every person saying that the staff is racist is lying because they are very diversified themselves. But, we had a table with a group and paid almost 8000$ which is normal for a nice evening at the club, so the problem is not there. The waiter came at the table and dropped all the trash from the table in my glass that I had on the table, (black lady with an afro), when i asked for a new one a few times, she didn’t come back. Unacceptable for that price. The club is nice though, but I just want that lady to get fired for her crappy service, don’t give her tip, don’t let her manage the table. If the manager of the club is reading this, let that lady know that she just made the club lose very good clients that very much contribute to the revenue of the club.

I was here with my home town friends for a bachelorette and accidentally stumbled into the manager and was told I stumbled into the wrong guy and got escorted out and had to go home. The bouncer and manager booed me and told me to go home. It was bizarre and disgusting behavior. Literally a joke. It was my first time attempting to go with my friends and was trying to ask one of the bouncers how much the entrance fee was. All of them had the nastiest attitude. “I can’t talk to you” and walks away. The one at the door directed us to some random who tried telling us in order to get in we had to pay for a $2,000 table.

Amazing hip hop rap music, nice ambiance, but some staff can be really arrogant and it can be hard to get in even if you’re a woman.

I am a regular at this place and I am very disappointed in my recent experience. Tonight - a security guard started yelling in my face as I exited the bathroom and was ordering an uber on my phone - he shouted, leave this area!, I was startled and I jumped and asked why and he said youre being rude, you have to leave. I was very confused as I was only trying to figure out what was going on. I was ordering my uber on my phone so I was on my way out anyways, the guard started walking very closely behind me and the shouted to his security guard friend at the door, she needs to leave shes being rude. I find it very interesting that he did not address my fellow white counterparts in this way. Up&Down is really showing its true colors. Im very disappointed to have encountered such hostility and sheer racism at a place that I have recommended to many friends.

Nice dance club for the younger hip set, which I am not. Still fun to watch. ;-) Staff very courteous and professional. At the coat check they had stationed a very alert staffer with a flashlight who would immediately reconnect patrons with their dropped claim tickets. Nice touch.

I came to this club on Feb 9th because I was invited to it by a DJ, but I am never setting foot in this place ever again. Not only were the prices ridiculous for baby guinness shots, but they werent even made correctly. The blond woman who was bartending seemed to make up the prices at the top of her head, and demanded a tip after being so rude to me when I told her the drink she made me didnt taste good. I also experienced having a damn round canvas painting falling on me and hitting my leg. When I told the staff who went to pick it up, the guy practically ran away from me. I still have the bruise from it. -__- The only positive thing I can say about this place is that I got cute pics from having a mini photoshoot in the bathroom with the famous polaroid wall that every drunk girl poses in front of. I doubt the establishment reads any of these reviews, but at least some one will read this and decide if they wanna spend their time and money here.

Top notch nightclub. Got to see Future and DJ Chase B for a celebrity appearance and performance. Management and the bartenders were great and very friendly. I definitely will be returning and getting bottle service again.

This is a horrible club and I suggest you do not go to it. Do not ruin your vacation. The bouncers are extremely rude and one of them told me to buy a 50$ ticket to be let in. I did of course and they denied me enterence. Even when I asked nicely for them to refund me money they still will refuse to. This club is horrible and you should not go to it by any means. Go to Club 93 it’s ten times better then this club.

We were four people willing to pay up to 1-1.5k at the door yet we were still denied entrance. Whether it was because there were guys, minority, no matter what the case is when money comes knocking on a clubs door they should stop being so stuck up about it. Definitely would not recommend. One of the top night clubs in NYC. Not unusual to see celebs here. Line is always held to make you think youre getting into something special. Once I was in, it was somewhat underwhelming. Bottle/Table service is good, though.

Drinks are extremely expensive $44 for two vodka red bulls, just wow. And security real rude and excessively pushy for the smallest of things. Only gave two stars because it had AC.

Worst club experience Ive ever had. My friend and I watched the bouncer let in a large group of 18 year old girls who cut in front of us in line after waiting for 45 minutes. We were then told to stand to the side of the line while the bouncer continued to let in more underage girls. When I politely asked him why we had to stand there, he shouted in my face and told me that my friend and I werent getting in. When I asked why, he put his hand in my face and yelled at me to step off. None of the other bouncers could give me a reason as to why we werent allowed in, except for the fact that they can deny whoever they want, they dont need a reason. Dont waste your time or money, Im hoping this place gets shut down. Its for creepy men to prey on young underage girls.

Me and my friend was very excited to visit this club for the 2 Chainz event. It was our first time here. Sad to say, but our experience was terrible. They didnt let us in. Security guy with hair bun said that we need to pay 150$ for every person to get in! This event was totally free! It is super unprofessional. I expected more from this place.

They then sent me to talk to a promotor about getting in and he told me no. What promotor turns down someone. I was extremely mad and annoyed and to top it all off it was my birthday. I went somewhere else and I recommend you do to. It’s not worth your time, money or aggravation.

This night club is extremely racist and homophobic if I was able to give this place negative stars I would. My sister and I came here to see a rap artist and was denied entry for being black. We were dressed extremely cute with heels, makeup and designer bags. We were told that the club was too capacity while the white girls behind us were handpicked to come inside by the b**** who stood at the door. Can you guess was race she was ? I also witnessed the bouncers beat up two gay guys for not wanting to leave the line.Donot go here unless you like to be embarrassed. I will be taking this further than a review I hope this place closes down.

As I was leaving this sad excuse for a club I was forcefully pushed by one of their bouncers on my way out.I didnt think too much of it seeing that it could have been an accident, but then this bigger stronger man grabbed my wrist and threw me across the floor. I dont care how you handle your women back home or what your culture finds acceptable but dont use the same tactics on me. The best part is when I tried to peacefully talk to head of security at the club and asked for the manager they ridiculed me and made me leave when I was calm and collective. As I was leaving I threatened to call NYPD and the jokingly shouted ha do it. As NYPD arrived and we talked to the head of security they denied there ever being a guy who fit my description. However witnesses can attest to everything that went on. Anyways if youre not looking to get assaulted tonight go to 1 Oak, Phd, whatever just do not for the sake of your life go to Up and Down. I dont think getting NYPD here was enough, I wish I could have done more but since he never really punched me I cant charge him for assault. I hope that in the future that I get punched in the face for NYPD to take this more seriously. I dont wish any bad on anyone, but I was violated and humiliated tonight and that is something that is going to stick with me for the rest of my life.
