My parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in April 2020. This is obviously a monumental celebratory time for my parents but was impacted by COVID. My parents are senior citizens and have been taken advantage of by the CEO, Tracey DeChabert. My mother has made various attempts requesting a refund, as our governor does not know when these venues can function at regular capacity. She would like to utilize the venue and was excited to support a Black operated business, but as a result of financial hardship and over $2,000 given to the Alhambra Theatre with no date in the future to guarantee its use, my parents request for a refund have been ignored. Phone calls and text messages have been ignored.This is a horrible way for a local business to treat not only elderly people but community members of any age or gender. How can you take from people as many of us are negatively impacted by COVID-19? I am disgusted at this person and as a business owner myself, I just cannot see how one can operate in this manner. It is disappointing to say the least. It should not have come to me writing a negative review and taking things to the next level. This still can be avoided if Tracey and/ staff are willing to contact my parents to refund the money and no harm no foul.

Ive attended a number of weddings but this venue is quite exceptional. The ambience and decoration of this place is historic and yet modern. Its a place to host events indeed!

Beautiful venue for dances, parties, etc. Who would have thought such a beautiful place could never found on the top floor of a building in Harlem? I want to celebrate my 60th birthday here!

A fabulous ballroom in the heart of Harlem NY USA with plenty of room to Dance, Entertain and celebrate with at least 150 people. A little construction going on other floors but that just means the building is being well upkept.

Went to a fur sale at the Alhambra. Was able to purchase a 3/4 mink coat at a very reasonable price. Ballroom is a nice place to have an event.

This place is beautiful and the conscious family that is around there is beautiful. There is a catapulted revolutionary energy that hits you when you enter the door of this place. Perfect conscious event setting Love this place

I work at this location every year for private parties and its a great location.

Typical banquet hall.The space appears to be undergoing renovations and so far the results are nice.Entrees and libations were so so and the waitstaff need etiquette redosing and retraining. They werent rude but they were also not very hospitable...no sooner than they serve you, they are removing your plate.Caveat dont dare excuse yourself to the powder room, when you return to your seat your plate has vanished. Beyond that the location is very doable and easily accessible for most guests.

An historic landmark now a catering hall where Big Band Swing-Jazz Dances recreate the 1920s to 1940s.

Very classy place but they need better working elevators.

Had my wedding reception at the Alhambra Ballroom on Saturday, September 17, 2016. It was wonderful. Guests enjoyed themselves and said it looked beautiful. Great waiters, Chef and personnel. Diane Henderson my MC was amazing. She had everything under control and made sure everything ran smoothly. Diane, Tracey and Jennifer were great in helping my husband and I from beginning when I first went to view the Venue right up to the day of our wedding. James was a big help in overseeing the setup for the wedding. And Chef Sam did his thing. Food, especially the Salmon with special sauce was delicious. Thanks to you all. We love you guys.

Very elegant food was good.I got angry with one of the bartender that wouldnt give me water. I ask for a cup of ice, She said $1 for a cup of Ice

The decor was historical. I personal loved the individual private restroom. It was great hearing about the Rennaissance period and those who pave the way. Food was average. Food service was average.

My husbands aunt had her retirement party here I loved it

The ballroom itself seems to have a lot of history and is a fairly large space. However, the building is pretty old and could seriously use some renovation work. There was scaffolding on the exterior when we visited. However the interior needs serious updating and is very dated. The carpets are all very old and worn.

Parking is definitely an issue but this place serves up an excellent ballroom experience to host all of your event needs. The catered food is pretty good as well.

Wonderful venue to celebrate life

It is very well re done an very big to have dances an very nice events.. the serving staffcneeds a lil more training in customer dedicate. But ther then that i give it a 9 1/2

Service was nice and accomodating. Turkey was good, fried chicken was tasty but overcooked.

Very clean nice seized rooms very polite staff and quiet rooms . 2 elevators and door man. I would definitely recommend.

In Harlem. Historic place. We attended a jazz event. Near the subway.

The ballroom is Lovely . The settings and tables decorated . The breakfast was super tasty. The 8th graders had a blast . And music was piped in . It was a pleasure.

A gorgeous and historic venue in Harlem. It was beautifully set up for a a middles school awards luncheon. We had a nice time.
