Horrible support, a lot of favoritism, don’t give kids that are beginning to learn a Chance. Not fair at all! My son and I went to the tryouts Saturday morning when we get there, I approach Juan gave him my son’s name and he shook my hand welcoming us on board, later on today and day later I emailed the little League and he replied saying my son was not picked. Why?? Because he wasn’t as good as the other “superstars”? I saw a lot of FAVORITISM there while I was there watching the tryouts. My son grew up in this community for this type of treatment. It’s for fun, and for them to learn not to play in the yankee stadium. You should see how these grown men act in front of these kids. Horrible!!!

I went and brought my son over for a meeting with the Director of Inwood little league. I filled up the application and was promised a call back to work out my son play time schedule. Juan never call me back. I left multiples voice mails, text, and even emails and never heard from him again. My son really like their team and the stadium (yes they have a mini stadium..) but never had a chance to play for Inwood. Very disappointed with the way Juan handle this!! I cant believe that hes the person in charge.. If you live in Manhattan and have a car; its a huge plus with quick drive on FDR or WS highway to the field. Very easy to get to. Beautiful area and surroundings!

Inwood little League is a fairly descent league. Every kid gets to play. According to the rules every kid gets atleast one at bat and two innings on the field. However, beware of their annual travel team tournaments. If your child is not known as one of their so-call superstars, or part of the coaches click, there is a good chance your child will not be allowed to play in their games. Your child might be used as a token, meaning that he will be used sparingly as a pinch runner, probably get one at bat if the team has a blow out game, which is fine, if you are okay with paying a $300 entrance fee, so that your child can play in situations that have no meaning.Unless your child is a so call superstar, parents should keep their kids out of the travel team tournaments. According to the rules, the coach is not require to play the kid, he can sit the child the entire game on the bench at his discretion and parents will be out the $300 fee.
