I went here for a hockey game. Parking in the garage is expensive ($33 for about 2 hours) and Im not sure where else to park. They have a nice large elevator to take you to the rinks and wide stairs if you prefer stairs. When you go In it is a very large open area with tables to sit and eat. The snack bar has muffins, chips, bagels, pizza, garlic knots and some salad choices. Not bad but a few more choices for protein would be nice for our athletes before or after game meal. It is also a little pricey. A regular can of soda was $2. Pizzas start at $19.95 for a cheese pizza but it was good. The East rink where we played was nice because the netting doesnt go all the way around and you can take better pictures of the game. After the game my son said the ice was good so thats a plus. Locker rooms were clean but very small. The pro shop does sharpening and is nice, offering hockey and figure skating equipment. Overall this rink has everything you need to have a great time!

This is actually one of the largest ice skating rinks I’ve been to. Really spacing and friendly. Only give it 4 stars because I’d banged into the inner corner of the rink and a nail managed to find its way in my knee. Don’t know if it was already loose or if I’d just been an idiot practically hurdling into it from skating fast.

Dual ice rinks in the city, no public right now, only camps and reserved times. Temperature and daily forms, plus lots of wipes and sanitizer around. One of the few rinks in the city that are year round enclosed. Hockey and figure skating. Pizza and parties here pre-covid. Well see when that comes back.

Nice indoor rink with high quality ice and LOTS of kids learning various stuff. Their rented skates were really comfortable, among the best I’ve had. Perks available for new yorkers.

Really caring skaters. I fell.. yea you see me skate, you should definitely wary of me because I might fall and take you down with me. THANKFULLY i feel on my own people (No innocent lives involved amen) I hurt my back so bad they tried to help with ice packs and literally told me i should get it checked out. Back is good now! hope i can brush on my skills next time

My daugther use to go here for skating lesson. She loved it here. The teacher is nice and patient. Yes its crowded specially on weekend. Need extra caution because there is so much of more pro skater. Easy to access with public transportation. They also have a party options. So we can have birthday party.

Check in was speedy, the workers at skate rental were the absolute worst. Upon initially getting our skates I was given attitude by a young lady because my son and I switched skates because he fit mine better she looked at me as said “Don’t do that” as if I was a child. Upon returning our skates after a quick 20 minute skate because there is absolutely no order on the rink (EXTREMELY DANGEROUS) I gave the young man my skates which he put back in the cubby without spraying with disinfectant. I felt intrigued to ask why he didn’t do it and his response was “oh well” when I mentioned foot fungus could be passed he said “I guess” . Sky Rink sucks big time smh

You skate at your own risk by all means!! There is no control whatsoever of little kids racing and pushing each other.. one of them - after 20’ of acting dangerously with his friends - tripped me over and I hurt my wrist.. nobody told them to stop for all that time they were pushing each other while people like me and my friend were struggling to avoid them - the response I got from the rink was that I skate at my OWN RISK which I guess includes the risk of unattended dangerous behavior of others..I hope if you decide to go there you have enough money to cover for your own medical expenses...

Too many professional skaters in the rink during general skating time. Impossible to skate with them, there should be some kind of rule. Nice place though, very big rink, great music!

A for effort. Re-purpose the Chelsea piers for lifestyle activities. Place had free-skate 3p-5p. Not really free skate in my opinion when 50%+ is blocked off for training and tutoring? $20 per kid x2 $40 and he rink is pretty small, but I suppose for NYC it is big. Place was not overly busy on a rainy Thursday afternoon. Well lit fairly clean and staff was courteous. Just not seeing good value and free skate was not free skate if more than 1/2 the rink is blocked off...

Went for a synchronized iceskating competition. 2 rinks. Few space for spectators. Not enough changing rooms. Better food options than other places. Obviously not warm place however there are fans blowing cold air on the spectators. Still impressive infrastructure.

The staff is nice, the rink and outside area are kept clean, theres food right outside the rink and you can skate as long as you please for a small fee. The only downside is that the ends of the rink are often blocked off/ rented out so kids can practice hockey or figure skating. Its fine but a little of a hassle if youre not very comfortable on skates. Otherwise amazing.

The only ice skating rink open year-round in Manhattan and a very nice place to skate too. The weekend skates can get a bit crowded when they close areas for parties (pretty frequent in the winter), but you can always go here for reliably good ice.

I like the rink but the staff really need to talk to individual who create a unsafe skating environment. I observed one individual skating recklessly, carving the ice, skating very close to patron and cutting them causing patron to fall and lose balance because he scare them. Even one of the ice rink safety person fell. Im like why is no one saying anything and then I realize they are friends. Seriously there are lot of little kids skating and trying to have fun as well. Reckless skating should not be tolerate and rink safety guard should say something even if it is a friend.

I visited this rink awhile ago with my skating buddy and what a waste of money. We left after 20 minutes he didnt even touch the ice. The rink and ice is beautiful, and it feels amazing to skate on. However, NO control over anything people were going the wrong way. People doing jumps, I had a blade 3 inches from my face when I decided yeah time to go. My home rink we communicate and set a jump spot and everyone takes turns in it when not crowded. The pandemonium I witnessed there is just no. Skate at your own risk yes but the owners need to manage the environment its your own fault for falling and getting hurt, its the owners fault if a jumper crashes into or injures a beginner when rules are not being inforced. You shouldnt need to fear for your life ice skating.

When do the people that run the rinks realize that all roads lead to decent rental skates. If the experience is not good customers will not want to come back. My rental skates had very dull blades and hurt my feet.

It was a great experience I learn how to skate there. All the teachers were nice and I learned a lot. We also get to free ice skate after class. I loved it there.

Completely disappointing experience. On the weekend, large areas of the rink are sectioned off with orange traffic cones for parties and lessons. Whats left is a narrow, confining and grossly over-crowded track so packed with 1st time skaters linking arms that youll spend most of your time avoiding a crash (good luck there). Its as if they turned the Cross Bronx into a skating rink and then charged you for the pleasure of crawling along.

I brought my family here the week of Christmas and was issued a set of skates with blades that appeared crooked. As I was returning to the dry section of the ice to examine the skates, the blade broke off the skates and I rolled my ankle. Upon examining the skates, I observed rust along the soddered edges on both the skates and the blade. Upon speaking to the manager, she only agreed to issue a refund for my skates and admission, despite the fact that I was then unable to skate with my family and we’ve been planning this visit for some time. It’s an insult to injury. I sat down for nearly and hour with my family as the staff paraded around with fake concern, asking questions for their own insurance. It’s despicable.

Parking costs a second mortgage, and the locker rooms, if you want to call them locker rooms, smell like butt. Unclean and unsanitary. And, your kids get kicked out of the locker rooms by other oncoming teams during their game causing your kids team to be forced to change outside by rink at the end of their game Gotta love NYC.

Do not do a general skate here. You will hate life. Figure skaters take up most of the ice, spinning and making it unsafe for a casual skate. They even do private lessons mixed in with the skaters. The “safety patrollers” are of no help. It’s overpriced for a $11.

Great ice rink, not expensive although they hiked the price recently, the ice has almost no bumps, very comfortable to skate, and the ice gets paved frequently, the only downside is that the public hours are limited and sometimes even closed, therefore you need to check the website or call to make sure if its open, and sometimes its also very crowded, but not usually, staff are nice, and the staff on the rink are nice too, skates quality are good too relative to other places
