The legendary venue is a must see, whether youre in Manhattan for an evening or have been for a lifetime. If legroom is a priority, book seats on the Parquet or First Tier, as the rest of the levels (especially the second tier) are a cozy fit. As far as acoustics go, there isnt a single bad seat in the house.

I was lucky that I got the tickets for Joehisaishi. It was an amazing performance. Though my seat was in the last row. I still could see the stage clearly. And the sound effect was perfect. Both my ears just fell in love with this enjoyment. But you have to book the ticket beforehand for more than 3 months. The website of Carnegie Hall was not that convenient to update the available tickets yet.

Cultural jewel in NYC for music lovers. Saw a concert here in the smaller concert hall around the corner on 7th Ave. Beautiful hall and the acoustics were phenomenal. Conveniently located of course. I got off the R train at 57th and was right where I needed to be. Our seats were general admission. Honestly, not a bad seat in the house. The group performing that night was breath-takingly talented. All were blind and/or had limited vision.

Only giving a three due to the fact the show and sound were better than I expected.(Rosanne Cash) Now the downfall sitting in the balcony was like sitting in my first grade desk. The seat was so small with limited space for my knees I could hardly enjoy the show.I hit the man in front of me a couple of times with my knee as I unfolded my now accordion leg.I was watching old people climbing up the stairs to their seats like they were climbing MT Everest without oxygen.I did not think the hall was that large till I notice the bands musical instruments look like something for a doll house. And dont even think about getting up to use the bathroom or you are going to have an angry mob possibly thinking of tossing you off the balcony. This one is off the bucket list for good.

Sadly... this theatre is not meant for people over the height of 5’3”. The show itself was phenomenal, sold out almost immediately which is why we had to sit in the nose bleed section but that doesn’t mean we should be crammed in like midget sardines. It was so bad that the people behind us used the back of my head as a leg scratch pad. This section needs major renovations to accommodate normal sized patrons.

We saw the Pops A night of Divas. Great show especially for $59 a ticket for the rear balcony. It was our first time there. Experience was well definitely something well be talking about for a long time. The same tickets a few rows closer in the balcony were over $100 each so try to buy your tickets right from Carnegie Hall site. Next time well try to get down and closer to see if the experience gets better and better. Balcony seats are cloooose and stairs are steep. Older people did it but a larger couple got up and left because the seat were too small for them. Beautiful way to spend Valentines Day with my wife and Sister in law. A nice theater with a great history, but it isnt nearly as grand as I was expecting and the acoustics are fine, but with microphones and speakers its hard to actually tell. If you sit in the balcony keep an eye out for the ushers running around like crazy people to yell at anyone with a phone or who stands or does pretty much anything, better try to enjoy it because they seem pretty rude about it and are very distracting. If you sit anywhere else they dont seem to care. The seats are comfortable, but the seating is poorly designed and vision is a bit limited of the stage even for a taller than average person, good luck to anyone else. Saw the pops and they were awesome, a fun group to see here.

NO LEG SPACE IN TOP BALCONY:I saw Beethovens 4th & 5th symphony here. The place is beautiful and the sound is amazing. The unfortunate part was the lack of leg space in my seat. My legs were bent under my seat and my feet were up against the seat in front of me. My knees were inches away from the guys head in front of me. I thought airlines were bad, but this was the worst seating experience Ive ever had. Again, this was in the highest level. I attended the Joshua Bell concert. I really had high expectations for the acoustics of the hall, but I was confused and disappointed with what I heard. I felt like there was so much reverb that all the notes on the piano mushed together. The piano was also overpowering the violin at many times. The balance was very strange. Maybe it was due to where I was sitting? I was in the dress circle all the way up the right side near the stage. The musicians were absolutely brilliant, though.
