On my very first day in New York, 26 years ago, en route to view an apartment, I stumbled onto the Old Print Shop and never forgot about it. Ten years later, I came back to buy prints, and am still buying to this day. They have the finest and most diverse works of art, for virtually every taste and price range, the greatest service, a friendly and unequally knowledgeable staff, run by passionate generational owners unwaiveringly devoted to their craft. One of these New York gems worthy of its iconic status.

A fantastic print shop that feels like you stepped into another world when you come for a visit. The staff is awesome, helpful and you can literally spent all day there looking at the wonderous works of art. Their collection is scattered throughout different floor levels. They support local artists and provide a wealth of knoweldge pertaining to print work. You can easily pass it by walking up Lexington from below 29th st. But if you have a curious nature and your eyes catch things that are unusual, you cant miss their window displays that draw you in.

Wonderful shop all around. People there were very informative, full of local art history knowledge and the shop is full of beautiful work from traditional styles to contemporary. Highly recommend for shopping or browsing!

Wow. If youre into New York City history, this place will amaze you. Full of incredible prints, including maps, drawings of buildings that once graced New Yorks highways and byways. Do not miss an opportunity to go there.

Good selection of prints from a few hundred years ago on. Great staff thats willing to help you find what youre looking for. It is expensive and this is not a place to just wander in off the street and purchase a picture for your wall. However if youre a collector or looking to start. The staff are always willing to help.
