The new Paola Pivi’s exhibition ’We are the baby gang’ is highly recommended. It is on the third floor. The whole space is carefully designed and bears are extremely cute and colorful. It’s completely free to visit and you can save it as an option for a rainy day. Consider yourself lucky if you find yourself alone with the bears.
This three leveled museum is nice and I can only speak to the exhibits I saw in early February 2019.While all of the floors clearly represented different styles of artists, I only found one that was truly wonderful (the top floor - I guess you could say the best was saved for last?). Most of the guests gravitated towards one level while the other two remained practically empty. One thing I appreciated about this gallery was that even on a Saturday mid-afternoon, it did not feel overcrowded.
The gallery is amazing but the third floor staff was very rude towards us art students when we weren’t even inside for a good 5 minutes. Had permission, from the first floor receptionist, to take pictures of ourselves including the artist’s work behind us like any ordinary photo but then the third floor receptionist saw that it was only art students within the first gallery and proceeded to kick us out. Not like we brought a whole equipment of cameras with us either or making loud noise, plus there was nobody besides us viewing the work. It was a great exhibit but sadly don’t think we’ll be attending it due to the staff’s attitude. Art is for everyone and it sucks how younger upcoming artists are treated within galleries sometimes.
Management is clearly conscientious and organized when it comes to managing a signing event.
Ranging from artists like Takashi Murakami and Daniel Arsham, Perrotin is on the forefront for what is happening in the modern art scene. Would recommend checking out checking out the LES gallery and their gift shop as you get a taste of what he hosts in the exhibits across his global galleries.
Kudos for featuring this amazing charcoal art by Lee Bai, loved it!!!
Not sure is I’m a rating the place or the program. Gallery nice, program predictable
Great space w 3 floors in SOHO. Nice for intimate viewings.
Perrotin NY is one of the best galleries in the city. The exhibitions are consistently inspiring and draw me back every few months. I would recommend going out of your way to visit this gem but if youre in the neighborhood check them out right away.
Super cool spot. The exhibits they have are always interesting! It’s also in a fun part of town that as several things to do after you leave the museum.
I love this gallery because they always have both fun and eyecatching exhibits. It is not easy to find but its worth a trip downtown.
Visited when Takashi Murakamis exhibition, Head-to-Heads. It is an impressive size for a gallery space, with multiple floors, and convenience of having both stairs and an elevator system.
JR’s exhibition was amazingly informative and beautiful. Loved my experience! Very chill atmosphere, free admission.
The actual space of this gallery is very beautiful. Modern, raw and simple. Exhibitions are free of cost and are truly impressive.
Perrotin definitely always has the coolest exhibitions, on all three floors to boot. The exhibitions catches the eye and are always quirky and interesting. The art Perrotin displays is never dull, which is why this is one of the galleries whose exhibitions I look forward to.
Beautiful gallery! Highly recommend
The gallery is small but has cool exhibitions. The one we went for (titled Dark Matter) was really cool!
