One of the uber chic galleries in town. great varied selection of artists beautiful building - uptown stroll
Very cool spot always something new
Museum quality exhibitions.
Without doubt one of the best of the Contemporary Upper East Side galleries. Any time theyre showing a de kooning you should definitely go no matter what it is. Avoid the shows of Asian artist its clear there just trying to capitalize on some easy money over there.

Unfriendly workers. Pretentious security guard tried to push away me and an elderly woman waiting outside by the door during the pouring rain.I was surprised by the rude treatment as I had just left the exhibit. We told the guard that we would gladly move had there been visitors. However, the gallery was completely empty when I left.Bodyguard claimed it was an open business so we cannot stand outside. The clothing shops next door are open businesses yet they allowed patrons to wait outside for the rain to pass. The clothing store also had people inside, unlike the Lévy Gorvy.
Really beautiful James Turrell exhibit. Had a very welcoming experience even at 5.55 pm on a Friday eve when I chanced upon one of my mentors in light. In James Turrells otherworldly installation the guide was very kind, letting me ponder the humming presence, and the invisible, unseen depths of light. A real pleasure to discover the space hiding within. It is the perfect reflection for a world in which people have no idea where they are, what they are looking at, or how to get beyond the screen. Thank you. Wish I had longer than 5 mins there on this trip, but it was a blissful gift of an experience that I reckon will stay with me for many years to come.
