This gallery has stolen $35,000 from me. They made shady commitments at the original purchase which caused damage to my pieces. I’ve had 2 attorneys. Jamali & Chris straight up lies about something I have in writing stating the truth. They now have my art captive. I have paid the entire $35,000.They are unethical. They are thief’s.DO NOT ISE THIS GALLERY. Both Chris and Jamali should be in jail.
Stumbled across the gallery in Soho and was so privileged to have met the artist ..Jamali .. there is no doubt he is a talented artist .. but what impressed me most was his humble gentle nature and his generosity of time.. definitely a highlight.. as it was my first time in NYC.. ️ so many of his pieces.. his themes and techniques are expressive and engaging ... ..
I recently visited the Jamali Gallery in NY and its a visual treat. There is no doubt that the Artist is extremely talented. The prices range from 3-6 figures so the sales people try to access your net worth so they can sell the pieces that will fit with your budget. They have convincing sales people and that is the point after all to sell the Art. Style of the Art is pretty similar as this is not a multi Artist gallery. After the initial contact with the Art consultant and Gallery Director, I did meet the legend himself Jamali. The Artist is very centered, straightforward and pleasant to talk to and super confident about his work. I did end up buying an incredible art work because in all honesty the Art speaks to you itself and it doesnt require selling. My wife and I considering another Jamali painting for my bedroom. We got tons of compliments for the one we bought earlier that is hanging in our living room.
This gallery is just a retail shop for the one artist to sell his decent art work. The vibe I got was high pressure sales. Not the best atmosphere for buying art work. Im sure many people can appreciate his his craft, not my style. I recommend shopping around and if something catches your eye, go online there are a ton of people trying to recoup their money on Etsy and eBay.
A great artist and I love his work! Visit the SOHO Gallery and check out his work. Staff is very friendly and will assist you with any concerns or just have a chat.
The person there was very rude, not expected, don’t buy this rude-based ART!
