Great store, amazing staff, fantastic experience!I rarely write reviews, but Babeland deserves it. I teach Human Sexuality class and came here as the Field Trip. Sam gave us a tour of the store, explaining thorough each section. Sam is very knowledgeable, and answered all the questions with respect and honesty. She made everyone feel safe and welcome. My students had a great time and even the most conservative ones enjoyed the experience.Babeland is so much more than your average sex shop. This is an educational adult store, where you can get answers to ALL your questions without feeling judged or ashamed.Dont be shy to visit the store, you wont be disappointed!

Super nice staff onsite, as well as helpful, but not in an intrusive way. They have more than just adult items, they have gag gifts as well as some party items for bachelor or bachelorette parties. Store is clean, brightly lit and welcoming.

Babeland is not your run of the mill sex shop. Meant to be bright, welcoming, and approachable, it takes the stigma out of sex shops. The space is open, clean, well maintained, and attractive. Service is friendly and approachable, and can answer questions or give guidance without being intimidating. Products range from basic to advanced, and everything is user-friendly and displayed nicely. Babeland takes the perceived shame and guilt out of sex shops and makes visiting their space enjoyable and worry-free.

Going to try to keep this short and to the point, but this store is amazing. I can’t speak entirely for the sex toy side of things (though it did look like they had a good selection) since that’s not why I came to Babeland. I came here to buy a binder, and was definitely not dissapointed! Walking in I was very awkward and timid, not only did I not know what size I was (this is my first binder) but I just felt a little odd going in a sex shop. However just after talking to clerk behind the counter I felt so much more at ease. They were the nicest person I’ve talked to on this trip and they were very very knowledgeable. Helped me check if my binder was the right size, let me try on different ones, gave my mum a book on trans and Nonbinary teens to look through, asked me my preferred pronouns and let me wear the binder when I was done shopping. My experience here was amazing and I highly recommend shopping here if you are in need of a binder or are a trans person/teen who is just starting out. The staff and knowledgeable and the person I spoke to and helped me was so down to earth and they really helped me feel welcome. Would give it more then five stars if I could.

Great shop love the sex toys I got

I bought a vibrator & batteries. Came home &I didnt work. Went to return it & turns out they gave me bad batteries. Fine. I tried to make conversation/be funny telling them I was pretty sure my cleaning lady took it and the woman in a beanie & glasses made some rude comment about how my mom did. I dont live with my mom. She made me feel very young and immature even though I am not. You already feel a little awkward coming into babeland and having someone who is supposed to be of assistance be really rude to me just made me feel really uncomfortable and I just didnt say anything and left. I dont hold grudges but I think the staff here should avoid doing that in the future. Not a great experience.

Whats great about Babeland? Theres none of those giggling tourists who laugh as they peruse dildos, and theres absolutely zero sense of sex shame. The only place to go in NYC for erotic paraphernalia.

Really terrible shopping experience. Bought JimmyJane Form 2 and returned home to find it is a defective one. The shop explained that it is very common to buy a defective one.
