Great beach. Limited parking keeps it uncrowded. No running water, but toilets at ramp crossovers. Nakedness allowed a lot 5, furthest south lot. Lots of shells at certain times of year. No lifeguards any where in park. Several boat launches into river on north side. Also great nature center and also historical Turtle Mound. National Park entry fees are reasonable. Single entry and seasonal passes. Senior passes honored and sold. Same for military passes.
Wonderful NATURAL beach area...Very few amenities and facilities as many others have noted. The beach is real, rustic, and natural though...an authentic experience in my opinion!Parking is limited, and parking lots are very spread out, 5 lots over 6 miles should be evidence of that. The beach access at lot 5 is clothing optional, but IT IS FAMILY FRIENDLY!!! There is absolutely no improper conduct on this area of beach (the regular nude beachgoers self-police to maintain the wholesome environment). Rest assured, it is just nude bodies relaxing and an extension of the natural quality.Id venture to say that Apollo Beach offers the best experience of real seashore wildlife and vegetation available in the area. Be sure to bring ample drinks, sun protection, and anything else that you need as there are no resources within the park and the nearest convenience store is about 4 miles from the park gates ( followed by up to 6 miles to last beach parking lot ).
Weve been here twice now. Good food. Friendly staff. Beautiful views. Seen dolphins laying with some kayakers!!!
The beach has a more rustic feel. Parking is limited, so numbers of people are limited. It apparently opens at noon, currently, because of the virus. Normally it opens much earlier. There are five beach parking areas. If you want to avoid nude bathers, do not go south at parking lot number five.
Ranger Linda was friendly and explained the fees adequately. The ranger booth had a plexiglass shield as a COVID precaution. The beach was beautiful. I was satisfied.
Love the beach here. Nice and quiet. Cone early parking is limited, which keeps things low key and beautiful.
Rangers are always helpful. Well maintained, beautiful, and not crowded at all
Nice beach. Do not take kids past #3 parking. Nude beach at #5. Park opens at noon. Get there by 11 wait in line of cars but the will be assured to get parked!
Love the wildlife. In Volusia county Florida, where the road ends at a Ranger fee booth you enter Canaveral national Seahorse park. Where on the seashore lies dunes that thousands of sea turtles come to play their eggs each summer. You can also see manatees, dolphins and water birds like the Least Tern that run up and down the shoreline finding food in the wash of the ocean waves. See the ghost crabs if youCan. Walk the shoreline and if you find something special wash up in your life. I found a Carob tree seed, very rare to find. I know you will love to see the Apollo beach at Canaveral national Seahorse.
Couple of beaches. One is a clothing optional beach. Hiking trials. A visiting center with some exhibits. Its a beautiful area with some cool wildlife. Good place for a picnic or just to hike. My complaints are the limiting parking and lack of Wi-Fi.
Surprised park didnt open until noon. Lot 5 was a great experience. Will be back
Awesome views. Great time to spend with the family
Beautiful view great place to go hang out at ️️️
Beautiful peaceful place to go . Theres lots to do, an theres over 10 different parks. The 5th park yes is a nudy beach.. Theres a $10.00 fee to get in . $1.00 if you bike in . Has a 24 hr. boat ramp pass the pay booth go down to the other flashing gate an its on the right you cannot go any further than the boat ramp. Park is open from sun up to sun down. Hope this helps every one looking for info. They have cannoes not sure if there available to rent or if there for tours you would have to call on that but I could find out for anyone that wants to know.
Loved it!! Definitely need more parking lot 5 tho
Love this place!!! Great place to walk and get your natural pedicure! Quiet, not as many people on the beaches!
I don’t mind the $15 entrance fee to maintain such a pristine natural place. What I do mind is that when I pay that much I expect at the very least to have running water for a shower at each beach access point. There is only one shower in the park, near the entrance, and it was out of order. $15 a car should go along way to keep a shower running. Also the sand at this beach isn’t sand, it’s crushed sea shells. They stick to your skin like little suction cups. They do not simply hose off like normal beach sand. I am not exaggerating when I say I took a 20 minute shower at home using 3 times my normal amount of soap, and a scrub brush to get it all off. Now 3 hours later I’m still finding tiny random pieces stuck to me. I’m gonna have to get a second shower before bed. I will not be going back to this beach. I had high hopes, based on people raving about this natural undisturbed paradise, that this east coast beach could at least compete with our gulf coast beaches. It didn’t come close.
Excellent day needs more parking areas for sun seekers.
This is a beautiful park! Lots of parking at the different beach stops. Theres kayak and canoe rentals as well as places to put your boat in the water. Theres a visitors center with information on the historic sites. We found a dock for fishing and crabbing.Plenty to keep you busy.Weve spent multiple days here. Beautiful beaches as well!
Beautiful Beach .... Beautiful Genitals .... Location Is Everything ....
The best area in New Smyrna.
Great beach, but the fee hike to $20 has officially priced me out. Many other similar options for beach access without that cost.
Apollo beach is our favorite spot in central Florida. We make sure to get down here at least once a year. Clear water, clean beach and since a lot of people dont know about it, the beach doesnt usually have a lot of people. But a warning, you will encounter nude sunbathers.
This is a nice place to go for a few hours. The beaches are nice, you just have to watch out for turtle nests. ElDora house has some history and the dock nearby is good for possibly seeing manatees.
Love lot# 5
Very disappointing. The only beaches closed that are not under construction here in Florida are the Canaveral national beaches. The state government has allowed all other beaches to open but these beaches are closed due to COVID-19. Something fishy going on for sure.
The Park Rangers on duty are always extremely knowledgeable, helpful and super friendly! Military members and dependents are allowed free entry to the park and may pick up a National Park Pass that asked free entrance to any National Park that is good for one year. Disabled citizens may apply for a free National Park Pass that never expires and allows the holder to enter for free along with his or her guests.
Staff is very friendly and informative! The beach is beautiful and there is plenty of areas for kayaking and paddle boarding on the intracoastal side with its own launches.
Great beach to relax away from the big crowds.
Wooow this u need to sea once in a life time
What a beautiful beach
I love taking family trips to any Beach fishing swimming and enjoying our Florida Sunshine so obviously it was an amazing, beautiful, awesome day :-) The only thing that could have been better... An AFFORDABLE Hotel or two so I could enjoy a Beautiful Sunset and an an even better Sunrise. But not gonna happen nothing Free in this life but the Beach always makes me happy again.. Best medicine for my family and my Soul
This is one of my favorite beaches. It is beautiful and never crowded due to limited parking. This is a no-drive beach so you will have to walk over a short boardwalk. Avoid the last beach if you are looking for a family friendly experience.
Quiet. Last year the National Parks ran a special for Handicapped Passes to all Federal Parks, etc. for a one time fee of $10. My wife and I are full time RVers. We save $15 every time we go to Canaveral Seashore Park. What a bargain. The Feds occasionally get something right.
Nice rustic beach.
Secluded. Quiet. Off the beaten path. Go-to for locals. Plenty of shells to be found and dolphins to be seen. If the bathrooms and showers were up to par, it would get 5 stars.
Quiet, relaxing, just sand sea and surf. Not far from many restaurants and shops. Good fishing. Boat dock, and picnic area. Does close at 6pm.
I dont mind paying to get in, keeps out the riff-raff. Get a park pass and support our Natl parks. Beach going, surf fishing, boat launching, and just plain sightseeing its a local gem. I go for the nude beach which is cloistered away down at the very end, so if youre going family style visit the first beach approaches unless you dont mind the human form in its entirety lol.
Best beach. Small crowds. Lots of fun
Reduced hours equals reduced appeal.
Great national park preserve. Fishing. Hiking. Swimming, sunbathing, shelling overall rest and relaxation without modern hyperbole.
The website says the park is open, but it is not.
Nice sand. Good beach. Parking free. Admission fee to state park. 1st area has running water for wash off
Beautiful and peaceful spot for beach time.
Beautiful place, can spend a whole day here. Very relaxing
Love this place. Clean n quiet. Best kept secret!
This is by far a beautiful beach. Bring a camera, beach towel and water. What you bring take away .Please leave the turtle nests alone.
Great quite beach. Never crowded.
Love this beach! Go all the time! Highly recommend visiting in the summer as you can see large turtles.
Beautiful beach! Has areas for fishing, canoeing, hiking, swimming, viewing local history, and so much more. They recently changed their fees so you pay more but have access for a week. It is still worth it.
Always a nice time at the Cape. Always upgrading park facilities. Season Pass is worth every penny.
Love Turtle Mound! Nice getaway spot.
Cant go wrong its the beach!!!
These guys are always friendly and courteous thank you
Nice beach. Great for families. $10 to get in.
Shameful that it costs so much to enter just to go a block to see Turtle Mound and cant even walk there for months do to re- instructions . And even the old beach access is no longer free
Beautiful
Beautiful beach but awful bathrooms, you pay to get into there they should pay someone to clean the toilets,
I wish the government shutdown would end so I can say hi to my favorite park rangers again
Always great!
Great, quiet beautiful nude beach.
It was really windy. I wish the boat launch had ramps on both sides of the wooden pier/ dock. It was super hard with a pontoon.
Beautiful
Awesome park. Entrance personnel was super-friendly and helpful.
$15 for an Entrance Fee is kind of absurd, but the beaches and historical sites are beautiful.
Ranger Medina, super friendly and helpfull.
Very quiet no cars great place to take your kids
I love it!!! And thanks to the fee its not packed
Amazing Beaches
