Boy, these folks really have it together. My 35 year old Daughter and I went on our first ever hunt.However, we are avid target shooters and felt we could take game fairly and properly. This place offers, in essence, Cadillac hunting. You really don’t have to do a thing except enjoy yourself and shoot some pork. Our tree stand was like a covered treehouse with views all around and had two beach chairs. We only did a 3 hour afternoon sit from 2-5 but we got our limit of two hogs. ( you can shoot more but they cost additionaland we’ll have plenty.) Our guide Cody is a super nice guy and will take great care of you. They also take care of the meat from start to packaged butcher cuts for a little extra. They quarter them for you free if you want to further butcher them.I will be back!

Excellent experience! Cody and Gage, our guides, were a great team. Very knowledgeable about their land. The weekend was very rainy and we didnt see any hogs in the morning but Cody and Gage kept reassuring us that if we didnt see them in the morning than there would be plenty in the afternoon. They were completely right and my friend and I both got hogs in the afternoon session.The land and the meeting and cleaning area are extremely professional and clean. I dont think we could have asked for more.Make sure you pay attention to the email that they send. Bring the essentials that they recommend especially rubber knee length boots, its very wet out there. As a first time hunter, I was unsure what to expect. But this is something Ive wanted to do and finally went and scheduled it and all I can say is I wish I had done this sooner! I had one if the best times Ive had in a long time, got a huge hog, tons of meat, and a cute photo of myself! Everyone was super friendly and I felt right at home despite having little experience. Cody was my guide was super helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this for anyone and everyone. My husband and I plan on going out on a thermal night together, hopefully soon but we need to clear out some space in our freezer. I did a full day hunt and paid to get my hog fully processed and freezer ready and it was 100% worth it!

This was our (my son & myself) 2nd visit here. This time we did a 2 day package and it was another great experience. I have hunted a lot of places inside the USA & overseas. Cody & Dakota were great with my son. They shared advise, conversation & hands on experience like we were long time friends. I cant wait until we get to go back again!

It was my first time hunting and it was a great experience. The staff there was very nice and answered all my questions. I did the half-day trip. I got a little picky because I wanted a record setting hog, which is the wrong mindset in a half day trip. First couple hours there were easily over 20 hogs near my stand. Afterwards there were no hogs around my stand for about an hour. Luckily, an 80 pounder came in the clutch with one hour left. They quartered my hog for free and it was quick.I highly recommend first timers to go to Westshore Outfitters.

This place is absolutely wonderful. They made my boyfriends dream hunt come true and definitely exceeded our expectations tremendously. The pricing was more than reasonable. The guides were very helpful and did everything they could to make our hunt a successful one. They will definitely be seeing us here soon for another hunt or charter. Went fishing with my brother and guide Cody today. All I can say is awesome! Me and a good friend did a thermal hog hunt with WSO and had an unbelievably good time. Our guide Dakota did a great job and definitely knows the property and the animals on it. It took us all of about an hour to kill our pigs!

Had an awesome time hog hunting and bowfishing with my 13 year old son. Cody, Colby, and Dakota are all super guides. They did a great job putting on on the fish and helping us fill the cooler! We were the first charter on the new boat, and let me tell you...it is pure awesomeness!! During the hog hunt they made absolutely sure my boy knew what to do and made it a lot of fun for him, and helped put us both on our very first hogs! If you want to take your son or daughter on a special hunting trip, this is definitely the place. They are no nonsense, down to business hunting and fishing and just a lot of fun to be around! I recently went on a hog hunt here with some friends. It was a great experience from someone who has never hunted anything before. The guide was great and knowledgeable, and willing to help or answer any questions. Despite the Florida heat, the boxes were relatively cool. They cut up and cleaned the hog when we were done. Everything went well, would definitely recommend.

Had a great hunt with West Shore Outfitters. Started seeing hogs 5 minutes after getting in the stand. The 3 of us all had hogs down within an hour. We all decided to go after another hog as we had booked an all day hunt, we took 3 more in the afternoon with one exceptional boar. Dakota was an outstanding guide and person as well, he was a blast to hang out with and share hunting stories with. Matt the owner was very quick to respond to all calls and texts. Recommend an all day hunt it will give you more opportunity to see and take bigger hogs.we will be back soon!

The best night out in years, the guides Gauge and Dakota were the best. They gave us the run down and we hit the woods. Lets just say we were on the hogs in no time. Very professional and great at what they do. Im very pleased for the price . My Hog was about 160 or so they really take care of business

A friend and I did and afternoon hunt with Cody and Dakota They were both extremely professional and helpful. We saw 30to 40 hogs in the first couple hours and each harvested nice animals. Cody and Dakota were extremely knowledgeable and made for a great afternoon of hunting camaraderie. We will both be booking more hunts and fishing charters with West Shore and requesting cCody and Dakota as our guides. Facilities were great.

My dad and I went on an all day trophy boar hunt, and easily got our money’s worth. One of the best hunting experiences either one of us have ever had. Killed one trophy a piece and I killed another small hog for meat. The guides were great, and willing to put in as much work necessary to get us on a couple of awesome trophy boar hogs. Would recommend these guys to anyone, any day.

Spent the day hunting today, man o man how much fun. I shot a nice 6 point buck within 30 min of getting in my tree stand. My buddy shot a 65lbs hog a mile down from me 5 min after legal shooting time. The guides were awesome, very knowledgeable and helpful. Will be back soon.

Had an exceptional time hog hunting. I booked the trip as the main event of a destination bachelor party. We had hunters of varying skill levels including a 1st time hunter. Dakota and Colby made our day special. Everyone got the right amount of personal attention to make our day successful. I would definitely return if I make it back to the area. I took my friend Harold for his first hog hunt a week ago and I cant tell you how awesome it was. No time wasted and a quick clean kill. Our guides were incredible. I came out here with a buddy for his first ever hunt and my first boar hunt. After reading lots of reviews, searching websites, and watching videos we decided to book with Westshore Outfitters. We knew it was the right place to go when my friend booked they were 100 percent honest in which package to go with for our best first experience. Upon arriving, we were greeted at the front gate then checked in, went over the rules, then brought out to our stands. We both immediately began seeing boar and both ended up bringing home a nice size boar each. Gage and Dakota did a great job of taking care of us and I would recommend either and both of them next time we come out as well. I highly recommend going to Westshore Outfitters

This was our first time on a guided hunt and it was great!! Cody put us on some great hogs! We did an afternoon half day hunt and my husband and I both got a hog each.Booking this trip was super easy and Cody was nothing but kind! Our experience good not have been better. On time, efficient and super helpful. My son was hunting for the first time and neither of us knew anything about hog hunting. They took great care to make sure my 13 year old had a great experience. I could not say enough great things about them. Very straight forward guys who know what they are doing.

My son and I just completed our first hog hunt together and we couldnt have asked for a more enjoyable (and successful) experience. Cody and his team set us up in a great location that was easy to access and comfortable as we watched for our prey to appear. In a matter of just a couple hours, we both bagged hogs that we were very pleased with. Definitely going to be back!

Brought my wife and brother here for their first hog hunt. Guides talked us through everything and then took us to the elevated blinds. The blinds were big enough for two people and well suited for the hunt. After my wife and brother got their pigs the guide came and picked us up. Guides did the hard part (cutting the hogs up for us). Overall great experience, friendly guides.One piece of advice: if youre under 56 consider taking a cushion to sit on for added elevation in your seat to gain a better angle while shooting over the front rail.

Went here for 80 day hunting trip with my dad, had a great time. Cody and the staff queer friendly and knowledgeable. we stayed in the lodge and youll see my pictures I took photos all over the property as well as some videos too. The deer stands are nice and well positioned oh, they have gun rentals as well and you can rent a 308 that has a scope and it is already sited in for you at 100 yards. I have motorized carts to take you around the property and will drop you off to your stand or blind and then pick you up later. They have a ton of different options too if you prefer it up hunt on the ground versus a tree stand. theres some food options and a Walmart in a Publix all within 20 to 25 minutes of the site so not too far from supplies when you need it. The lodge has a bathroom shower and sink and a small kitchenette, theres no refrigerator so bring your cooler and they dont have towels to bring those two. While I was there I saw deer hogs and turkeys. Just be sure to ask what it cost to hunt different animals up front because some have hefty additional fees. Also make sure you have your hunting license and whatever specific tags you need as they play by the rules, as a should.

First time hog hunting and these guys put us on them. The guides were professional and down to earth, just what I was looking for coming from upstate New York on a quick trip to break up my winter! As a bow hunter they had the setup and gave my dad a retirement trip we will never forget. Good on you guys, we will be back! Oh ya we were 2/2 on colored phase hogs, just what I was after!! Cheers

Great place to hunt. Dakota was a great guide. Colby and Hunter also great guides and definitely know how to clean some hogs. We also had a seven year old with us they were very accommodating and he shot his first hog. Very down to earth and great group of guys!!!! Would highly recommend this operation!!

My buddies and I had a phenomenal time with Dakota and Cody out at West Shore Outfitters this past Saturday. We booked a full day hog hunt and werent sure what to expect, as this would be our first bow hunt.I cant say enough good things about the guides as they gave us great tips for first timers, tracked down our hogs after we hit, and even helped one of our party bag an additional hog with a rifle after the first hog he hit with the bow got away into the swamp.The pricing is reasonable at $325 for the full day hunt and the first hog, with no hidden tooth size or poundage fee (which, as I understand it, can be a beast and really drive the pricing up at other locations) and each additional hog is $175. Just be aware, you have to pay for the first hog you hit if they find them or not; but in reality that is only fair because they cant control for your shot selection or which way the hog goes after the hit.The preserve is a good size, I think a little under 1000 acres and they told me they estimate between 3,000 and 3,500 wild hogs on property.Both Cody and Dakota were extra cool, did a great job of field dressing the carcasses, and gave as many tips as they could. They love what they do and it shows. Those dudes are great, they even held my hat for me after I left it behind in my excitement.Some tips for bow hunting there:- Get situated in the blind as quickly as you can. The blind is metal and the chairs are too so any movement makes noise and will startle the hogs.- Check your draw length early in the blind. The blinds are more for rifles and I had to maneuver around a bit to find the best angle for a good shot, but it wasnt a problem.- Bring a sidearm with full metal jacket rounds (that hide and skull laughed at my hollow points until I was right up on the hog) and/or a knife in case you dont hit with a kill shot, so you can finish your hog after you track it down.- Bring ice in your cooler and water/beer/whatever you need for after the hunt and cash for the tips or you will have to head a bit away for a gas station and banks/ATMs.All in all it was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Came with a group of three for a wild boar hunt, Great guides, helpful and friendly to first timers. Reasonable rates, definitely would return for what would be another great experience for sure! Colby, Cody, and Dakota all great guides willing to impart knowledge and insight though out the whole process.

I did the night hunt with my father and friend and had and awesome time. The guides absolutely know what theyre doing and have hog hunting down to a science. Great guys i felt like I was out hunting with my buddies. All of us shot hogs within 40 min. They supplied us rifles with infared Scopes and that was a whole new experience itself, pretty awesome time. They make quick work of dressing and quartering the kill too. Hopefully well get to do it again someday.

Killed my first Osceola and hog in the same day. Guides Tyler, Cody and Dakota were all awesome. High energy and very personable. Brother and I doubled up turkeys in the morning and had to have heard 6 or 7 off the roost. Tyler had us in the right position for a great hunt. Afternoon went to the ranch in new symrna and Cody and Dakota had us on the hogs right away. Had a dozen hogs around when I got my first kill. Brother did thermal hunt and that was really intense. Great people and a great outfitter. Matt runs a first class operation. I would recommend this outfitter to anyone.

Had a great time. These guys work 7 days a week 24 hours a day. They work to try and give you the opportunity to get what you need. Nothing is a 100 percent, but you will be put in that situation. Enjoyed talking with these guys and met some good people also there for a good time. I will definitely do this again. Call it a dirty nasty job that somebody has to do and you have hunters like me that will enjoy it. Good job to the guys at West Shore Outfitters.

I had my second hunt with Gauge and it was very excellent I got a beast of a hog And was very happy with it. I Would totally recommend this place.

Went on a 4 hrs. Freshwater bowfishing charter and had a blast. Great boat and equipment lots of fish. Spent the next 2 days on a deer hunt(almost end of season), saw a few but the group (3) did get 3 nice hogs. Great group of guides. Will return.

A life long friend of mine and I recently had the opportunity to hunt the fort McCoy location which we found to be considerably less appealing only because of the less than professional service that was provided by the guide at this location. I spoke with the owner Matt who works very hard at making sure his clients are treated well.The two guides at the New Smyrna location are hard working and professional they are top shelf as is that operation. I think the only real complaints are from people who don’t understand how hunting works and think the guides should hand them a trophy on a gold spoon. Matt and his guides Dakota and Cody work hard and have gained my respect for running a first class operation.I am and older man that has hunted since the age of 16 and the decline in areas to hunt have brought outfitters like Matt and his crew in high demand. I am thankful that we have areas like these with top shelf guides to Hunt on.The price of the hunt is not for the hog you kill or don’t kill but more importantly the memories that you make to share with your friends. My brother and I booked our very first hunting trip both of us on the other side of 45. So needless to say we have no experience just tv and YouTube. West shore outfitters was the perfect place to burst of cherries. Our guide “Cody” was patient understanding and a good teacher. What he lack in years was well surpass in experience and knowledge. The hunting area was plentiful with hogs. Not only did I get one but Cody put me on to a pack of them for the afternoon hunt. Thanks for a great time.

My wife and I booked on very short notice with them. They were able to accommodate us on my wifes first ever hog hunt. We had everything stacked against us to get a hog, wind, rain and the cold. The staff was extremely professional and guided us to our stand. We seen over 30 hogs in a 3 hour period and my wife was able to take a nice 115 lbs Male. Ive done a few hog hunts in florida and most of them feel like your shooting a pig out a pen. You 100% dont get that feel with this company. This one by far was our best experience. Definitely coming back with the whole family.

Just completed a thermal night hog hunt with Cody as the guide. It was a fun and fast experience. Within minutes we seen hogs through the thermal scope. We had 2 different groups on either side of us. Cody did a great job on helping me get in position to make a shot. I cant wait to come back and hunt again.

Time being a constraint, I dont have the luxury of scouting or setting my stand so this was an Excellent choice for us. The location makes it easy to drive to within several hours from anywhere in Fl. You have a choices of ladder stands (most doubles) or ground blinds if your mobility is limited or have height issues. The property is near WMAs which really helps allowing game to range more freely. The lodge on site is a plus, all you have to do is wake up step outside and go to your stand in a side-x-side. BTW we saw game on every stand and filled our freezer.

First class operation. Every about this place was awesome. The fellows working there were great. They have a healthy population of hogs on the property. I would recommend them to anyone wanted to get in on our fine hog hunting here in Florida m

I hunted with west shore with 2 buddies. We did 2 day deer hunt and stayed at their lodge. 2 of us got deer and hog and the third one got a huge hog and had chances at deer which he chose not to shoot. Cody and Colby were excellent and it was a true pleasure to hunt and hang out with them. Lodge is also comfortable and well outfitted. We’ll be back.

Ive hunted with a few good outfitters in the state and Westshore outfitters is by far the best. Best guides, best prices, best stands and more hogs than they know what to do with. Our guides Cody and Dakota told us we picked a great day. The weather was perfect as we set out for an afternoon hunt. on the way to our stands Cody saw a couple of huge hogs. He asked if I wanted a big one and of course I said hell yeah. We jumped out of the UTV and I followed him through the brush as we cut off the hogs. He put me in the perfect position to shoot. Told me to take my time as I squeezed one off and dropped a BIG sow. Cody asked me if I wanted to sit with the only new hunter in our group to help him out. I did and we waited passing an some nice hogs until a big old boy came through. My friend got his 1st hog. A really nice boar with teeth that would surely cost you a few hundred more at just about every joint in the state. Ill tell you what I appreciate the most is when they say no trophy fees or extra fees they are serious. We paid exactly what we were quoted regardless of size, weight or teeth. Cant wait to book our next hunt. Thanks guys!

It was only my second Hog hunt. I was determined to use a bow. Colby and Dakota were our guides and really cool, down to earth and helpful. The hunt was everything Westshore advertises. You will definitely get an opportunity but it is up to you to make the shot. The stands are nice and the spots are well positioned. I recommend the full day. I blew it in the morning and saw only one hog. My buddy saw 5 at his stand. But the afternoon I was rewarded!

Son and I wanted to do some hog hunting on our vacation. I looked up West Shore spoke to them a couple times before leaving for vacation. The day before i got a phone call from the guide Cody confirming for the next day and asking if i had any questions. Met early the next morning and had hogs around us less than 20 mins in stand. Was action even though it was hot and sunny. The hogs were not cooperating for shot opportunities. Cody took us on stalks and my son shot his off of the stalk. After lunch back in the stand I saw 7 more before getting a shot. All in all we saw close to 20 hogs. Had a great time. Cody had great knowledge of the areas and the animals. 5 stars. Great time. We had great time I got a boar 140+lbs my grandfather got a 160+ and my brother got 110+ They were very helpful and knew the land very well and they were very knowledgeable definetly recommend.

We live locally and did the night thermal hunt for hogs. Within minutes of stepping out of the jeep and into the trails there were many target opportunities. At night the animals are very active and its pretty cool while stalking to hear them grunting, fighting and foraging all around throughout the area.Night hunt was worth the experience. We enjoyed the benefit having cover of darkness to sneak up close and select a shot.Dakota and Colby were our guides and both are absolute professionals and sincere pleasure to hunt with. I highly recommend Westshore and will definitely be returning.

Did an all day hog hunt last weekend, it was an awesome time. Dakota was our guide. Super helpful. Stayed in the lodge for two nights. Really enjoyed the weekend.

The place to go for group boar hunts. All eight of us in our group were able to get a pig as a result of knowledgeable guides and an abundance of pigs. We had a great time, and will hopefully be back again.

I did a full day hunt but the hogs came in before daybreak(615am) and stayed round till legal shooting time(7am). I was finished by 715am with a sow and boar (100 lbs). I enjoyed my hunt but it was over too quickly. Colby said the day before no one saw anything in the morning but all shot in the afternoon. You never know as this is hunting free range hogs. This was my first time hog hunting and will return to WSO. Colby was very professional and would recommend WSO.5/22/20 HUNT UPDATE- I have gone out 7-8x this year for hogs and can highly recommend WSO for hog hunting. Except for my first hunt the rest have been half day afternoons and I have shot a hog on each hunt. I can give two pieces of advice DO NOT use a .223/5.56 as it is too small to kill a hog 100% of the time. Bring a bigger gun if you have your heart set on using an AR15 then get a new upper in 350 legend, 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC or 450 Bushmaster. Second wait to shoot cause the bigger ones come in after a group has been feeding for several minutes or come at last light. Enjoy your hunt!

West shore outfitter: what a great experience the guides were very professional and knowledgeable. They took the time to find out what type of rifles I was using and gave detailed information on where to shoot; that way the animal wouldn’t suffer. Plenty of different types of hunts available and they can accommodate all levels of experience hunters and the novice. Close to Orlando with easy access. The guides did all the work in a very clean environment. I will definitely go back and recommend this outfitter to all. They provide military discounts and everyone there are super nice. Thanks for a pleasant hunting experience.
