Really really cute spot! The coffee was good but the latte art was better. 100% worth it for the insta photos

This place is so peaceful and the people are so friendly and give you the feeling of happiness without them doing anything. The coffee is yummy and looks amazing.I came with my sister and we had a great time.

Love this place I have been a ton of other places in NY for coffee and this one tops them all. Simply put you actually have space to work, hang out, or simply stop in and grab a coffee along with the free parking I can imagine how any place could top this. Im a drinker of black coffee and there coffee is actually pretty good too. Definitely worth stooping in.

I was searching for a cozy coffee place and my brother recommended R Cafe! The service is friendly and the coffee is great. I would get there early on a weekend since the place is small but everything is so charming from the couches, to the decor to the French-inspired offerings!

Was there yesterday for a double espresso, very good coffee, among the top 2 spots in Larchmont, Mamaroneck, or New Rochelle. The workers were very friendly. Support small businesses like this w/ a good product during tough times (and good times when we get back there).

Stylish fun spot for tea, cappuccino and craft coffee. The pastry is awesome. It functions as an art gallery as well. Local artist use the walls to show work. Wonderful tin ceiling in a fun and funky space. Friendly folks who are always helpful tend the coffee bar.

Excellent coffee and baked goods at reasonable prices in a cozy eclectic environment. My Latte and scone was 6.50. Both sublime. The space is small. 5 or 6 tables (most for 2 people), 2 couches and a communal table seating 5 or 6. One outdoor table seats 4. The work of local artists adorns the walls. Some of it quite good at times. (Hit or miss in art work). This is NOT a place to bring the little kids. Just an FYI.

I love this place. Every time I have come I have gotten something different. I tend to come late at night for their caffeine free drinks and food. Great place for work or a small social. Introvert approved.

Great place. I loved the Chai tea the first time I went there, it was made by one of the owners. The second time I went was pretty disappointing. It was cold and was not the same flavor as the first time. The had a young very nice lady made it.

The interior looks extremely clean and peaceful. The decor is minimal which is great. I ordered a iced green tea. I remember wanting a healthy beverage yet cold. The customer service is great and the workers seem to really like their job.

Food and coffee are great, but really shines if you have time to sit and enjoy the vibe.

Charming place in the heart of New Rochelle. Not so charming is the way decaf is handled. Preground beans, with all of coffees aromas gone.I dont think you can consider yourself a legitimate cafe using grounded beans.I want to see the barista grinding my beans just before making my coffee, not scooping up dirt from a canister.

You will meet the most interesting people and friendly staff. If you get the chance to meet John you will be back for sure!

This is simply an awesome place. I have been there twice and both the times had a splendid experience. It had a good laid back environment and is a must go place if you enjoy an evening coffee. I ordered Cuban latte which tasted really nice. Coffee menu is also well covered. Its different from Starbucks kind of coffee but I loved it.

Stopped here on our way to US Open 2019. A great place for a breakfast, pastry and coffee/tea, and relaxing atmosphere. Thank you R cafe.

The young man working ruined my experience by being rude and lacking customer service. Not only was my food of poor quality but it took human unusual long time to ring my order. He then argued with me about taking the coffee that came with my meal when I turned down the other options. Ive never paid so much for such an unsatisfying meal.Its unfortunate as the ambiance is lovely - well until the pop music was turned on instead of the jazz music. Im not sure who made that decision.No woman should have to be yelled at for asserting her requests. Please do a customer service training or hire workers who treat people with more respect.

Ideal for going alone to relax, for going with a date or a couple or for chatting with friends in a great environment. They also sell nice paints from different artist. Whenever I’m in New Rochelle I come to this place and it’s normally completely fine. I came here today and I asked for a tea with a little bit of agave and the girl making my drink gave me a tea that tastes like sugar water. I asked if it can be made again without the agave and they said no, that I would have to be charged again. So in total, I paid $8 for a cup of tea. The staff was unwilling to be accommodating although the girl making the tea completely messed it up. I will not be coming back.

Ive been coming to this cafe for about 6 years. I love everything about it... from the coffee(the best), to the owner, every member of the staff, the morning regulars, the rotating art that adorns the walls, the eclectic mish mosh of furniture, and their constant and consistent excellence of service. This cafe helped turn around the downtown district of New Rochelle way ahead of the trend and current times. It produced a sense of community and brings together a diverse group of people from every walk of life. R Cafe captures the essence of what New Rochelle truly is. Thank you!

There was nothing special about this cafe. In my opinion its overpriced drinks that I can make at home.In response to the owner: I could just go to a better cafe that makes things I cant make at home. After I had place my order. I was disappointed compared to the drinks in gotten ar other cafes.

Been going here for 3+ years ever since my friend got a job there. The teas, coffees, pastries, and food options are all really great. The prices are a bit on the higher side but its worth it for the atmosphere. The seating options are insanely comfortable and they have table where you can work comfortably for hours on end (and many people I know do just that). The baristas and John, the owner, are always friendly and make conversation with me. There are many regulars here who love this patisserie and it shows. The atmosphere is always positive and it feels like a real staple in the community. Cant write a good enough review!!!

Great little local cafe to chill and be merry in. Great music, decor, and atmosphere. The staff is friendly, helpful and they offer a variety of food selections. Not a Starbucks and thats a wonderful thing. They also have WiFi.

Moved into the area recently. I need a place to do work and R Cafe is such a place. Their alfajore (the dulce de leche sandwich cookies) cookies are... amazing. Ill become a regular for those alone. I think their chai latte could be stronger and more spicy (the cinnamon and cardamom sense, not red hot chili); but that could be the Indian in me talking. I like that they feature the work of local artists and I have my eye on a hand painted coin purse that I am saving up to buy. It gives me a sense of a downtown New Rochelle that I feel proud to call my own.

Nice people, great coffee!

My Co-worker and I were looking for a place to relax and enjoy a cup of tea on a nice Saturday afternoonight and were really excited to find this place. Much to our disappointment the staff were RUDE and not helpful when we walked in. We were uncertain if we were going to be waited on at our table or had to approach the counter. The two staff members just stood behind the counter and didnt say a word ie: Can I help you? or even a simple greeting such as Hello. We felt very uncomfortable so we left and will NOT be back!!

The food is absolutely recommended.
