I enjoy this range very much!!! As a single mother trying to learn how to protect myself & my child, i come here when I can due to the wonderful staff & their knowledge. They make me feel welcome & answer any questions i have. They are very respectful & polite. The range is always clean & i have never had to wait at all to use the range. I have gone to different ranges & it felt like i was just another simple female customer to them. When i walk into this range, it feels safe, comfortable & everyone is awesome.

Nice indoor 25yd range, good prices, Monday is ladies day. Brought my wife and she had not fired in over 30 yrs. We had a great time. We brought hearing protectors, glasses but they have them, and gun rentals. We went at lunch and it was about half full. I was pleasantly happy that novice shooters were with experienced shooters. I was a little paranoid having been a military range safety officer and witnessing some scary stuff by inexperienced. Cant wait to go back.10/6/17. Went with wife, daughter and son-in-law (all shooting) It was a Fri and late afternoon (430-545). Fairly full. The range was warm and ventilation was very poor. Folks already there had positioned the 3 fans on their lanes. We ended up getting headaches from the gunpowder. Did have a bad jam with the AR and one of the employees was able to clear it. Going to try Tarpon Springs range next time.

Out of all of the ranges/ places to purchase a gun in the area this is definitely my favorite. The staff is very knowledgeable and professions while remaining personable. If they dont know about something you are asking they make sure to find out for you and if you would like to purchase a gun they do not carry in the store you can order off of their website to be shipped to the store without issue. The range is well maintained and always clean. It also helps that their prices are VERY reasonable :)

I myself found Gary Galati to be an animated one of a kind person who truly stands for what he believes in. I have nothing negative to say regarding him or his employees. I have time after time gone to Gary regarding the best gun purchases. Like a lot of gun dealers and I have dealt with many from Tennessee to Georgia to Alabama and back again, he never tries to sell you a load of garbage. I am skeptical pretty much regarding everyone I meet these days. Gary is a friend to many. Glad to say that I am in that fold.What I do not understand is when someone is at fault “IF” INDEED SO right or wrong”, do we try to nail that person to a cross. Just saying. Its just bad karma. Anyway thank you Gary for helping me out in my times of need.Oh and one more thing judging before the dust even clears could blind us to a point. I do realize we are entitled to our opinion.

Best Professionalism and Range in the NPR area.Raised in FL, learned early about gun safety - USAF then time goes by.Quickly becoming our GO TO Range for a multitude of reasons. Safety and comfort (A/C has been awesome every time). Vet Discounts, Memberships and Excellent Staff. If you dont ask they cant help you. Regarding a comment about spent casings. I was taught you clean up after yourself - this includes spent casings/brass etc. Less than one minute after having hours of range time. Thats all it takes.Family Membership coming right up !

Clean, lots of space, and friendly when you first walk in. Back in the business end(the range) is awesome. Nice A/C and plenty of lanes to shoot. They seem to be getting a nicer selection of rentals each time go in.I may get taken care of but I noticed that older reviews are intertangled into the reviews for the old shop that was there a while back. When I first started reading these reviews I was surprised at first and then realized that they were just mixed in there mistakenly.

I really enjoy going to this range. Everyone is so nice and helpful and I appreciate that they have a state of the art system to keep the air as safe as possible while I shoot. The staff are knowledgable and have a good array of classes that they offer. This is the only range I will go to!

Went with my wife and son who had never shot a pistol before. Chad was EXCELLENT with them. He spent so much time going over all my wifes concerns he even went to the range one on one with her so she could take her first shot with a PRO! A good local range getting better every time I go more rentals for first timers and old timers both I would not call it a gun store thou they do sell but, doesnt have the inventory most gun store does. They do offer classes as well and good instruction. I hope they get better it would be nice to watch them grow.

I had previously visited this location and worked with Nicole. It was my first time shooting and she was very helpful in answering my questions and assisting me in the range so I wouldnt hurt myself and enjoy my first time shooting. I was planning on signing up for a one on one with her after the holidays, but before I returned to use the range I found out she no longer works there. Im extremely disappointed that your location wasnt able to keep her there long enough because I am ready to learn. Im admittedly wary of working with your staff because I want to have continuity in my training with someone I trust. If anyone knows how to reach her, please let me know. I would highly recommend her to any first time shooters because she is thorough and enjoyable to work with.

FFA has a great range; its got better climate control than most, and it has plenty of lanes. Range fees are very reasonable and theres no time limit. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they have an excellent selection of gun rentals. Ill definitely be back!

This place is excellent. Very clean, well ventilated, knowledgeable staff and helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone. Whether you are new to guns or are experienced, they are very helpful and friendly. I overall enjoyed my experience there and will be going back in the future.

Decent range. Pros-All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice variety of gear and rental guns. Membership is reasonably priced and offers a few perks. Conveniently located...Cons-Shooting range looks unkempt with lots of shell casings and scrap wood laying around. With a shooting range as small as this one there should never be broken down lanes. No diet sodas in the cooler lol. However I get it that its a work in progress and the overall experience is very enjoyable. If it wasnt I would not have signed on as a member.

I went in not knowing much about firearms and was extremely nervous about getting into guns. The staff here was absolutely excellent. All of my questions were answered even when I thought I was asking a dumb question. The sales staff was extremely helpful and their instructors were very knowledgable. I highly recommend this place for new shooters.

Great range! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. LOTS of pistols to rent, several rifles for rent and a couple full autos for rent too. Small selection of guns for sale too. Highly recommended if you live anywhere near by!

Really like this gun range as the staff are pleasant and helpful. Went there last Sunday 7/10/16 with my wife and the range was busy just a few lanes open. No issues with a/c or target system. One suggestion would be to mark clearly mark the different target distances.Getting my new sights installed there tonight hopefully.

Great range! Has a small town feel rather than making you feel like just a walking cash machine. Well educated staff makes it fun and safe.

Many gun ranges can seem intimidating to people used to plinking out in the wild. Not this one. Very relaxing. I enjoyed it immensely.

Cant wait to see him on the news tonight CBS on how he got caught.The most Dishonest, Raciest individual I ever met in my l life.This is one item you purchase that you dont mess around with, so dont go here. What I have seen done in this shop was unbelievable. The mouth on the owner was unbelievable. People like this you dont want to deal with, so dishonest and racial remarks is not worth stopping in. Been going to Shoot Straight ever since and its night and day different. If you cant get there then just go to Wally World.UPDATE: JUST FOUND OUT THE SO CALLED CONTEST IS RIGGED. Galatis is a great spot. They dont sugar coat it when they think youre buying a crap weapon. They are professionals and they will give you their professional opinions and if you cant take that then maybe caring a gun isnt for you. They helped me a lot when I wanted to put cheap accessories on my ar15 like a bump stock. Not only did they tell me it was crap but my gun is not made for that kind of firing. These guys are here to help you and theyre not racist, trust me I would know because Im not white. They play with guns on a serious level and they remind me of the show Sons of Guns so expect that atmosphere. Play safe

I work in an office where I get lots of questions about CWP licenses and where someone could take the class. I always point out that the Florida Firearms Academy is close and how great the staff is. Also, they offer a range discount for vets and first responders. When I spend my money and time, I spend it at FFA.

My wife and I recently took a CWP class at Florida Firearms Academy and we were very pleased. The staff is incredibly friendly and very knowledgeable. Justin and the guys that taught the class made it fun, interactive and entertaining. We did not have a gun with us but they had one available for us to use for the class. If you’re looking for an affordable and informative CWP class, I would absolutely recommend Florida Firearms Academy in New Port Richey. It was well worth it.

Hi, I am writing this review because this indoor range, Florida firearms Academy of New Port Richey is one of the most warm welcoming range I have been to in years. Every employee that I have seen so far in my past six months of patronizing this range has been extremely helpful, warm and friendly. Always with a smile on their faces and welcoming you to the range as you walk through the door. I am retired law enforcement from up north and have been in Florida for the past 23 years. I live in spring Hill and travel to this range in New Port Richey which is about 20 miles or so, and as far as Im concerned, its worth the travel. I joined this range this past August with a one-year membership. I am proud to be a member of this clean and friendly establishment.

Took my concealed carry course there and the class was the cheapest around for the quality of instruction.The instructors were very qualified.Cid, one of rhw instructors is an active police officer with 33 years on thw force and 30 years teaching experience.The class was very informative and the instructors made the class fun too.

I have visited Gary twice, at his Gun Shop . waiting for shooting range to open.Was there with my Mom and my Girlfriend.And they thought Gary and his staff were great. I dont know what bullshit is going on with him on the News ! I thing he is being profiled for being ex cop from New York !And the last time i checked this is America ! Freedom of speech ! is still allowed.I belief it was a witch hunt to try to close him down. Go to shoot straight audit all there paper work and see if its perfect. Scott Petricone

I went there today to practice my marksmanship. I have been there I need the past and it was ok I guess.. so today I went there and there was kids running around the lobby. I go into the range to practice and the kids came inside the range running around. Every time I fired my weapon the kids would start screaming and running. So I told the owner/manager and he said get over it. Then he walked away from me like I was in the wrong.

Im as new to firearms as one could be. Ive visited a couple other places before here and almost gave up. With the other places I visited I was made to feel embarrassed and awkward because of my very limited knowledge with firearms. From the first visit inside FFA/npr I was greeted with a hello and a overall sense of relief. Every employee took their time answering every question I had.( it wasnt one or two questions it was a barrage for about an hour, on two different days) They were more concerned about making sure I was well informed & comfortable than trying to sell me something. The range is also excellent. If you are in the market for a firearm or looking for a range, look no further than FFA.

This is a beautiful gun range. The place is clean and very well lit, It doesnt look like a cave. If you own a shotgun its a dream as they dont have you jammed into some half booth at one end of the range like other ranges in the TB area. And you can bring in your own shotgun shells. You dont have to buy theirs. They just dont want you using birdshot.The range officers are actually nice, helpful people. A lot of times ROs are either power trip types or they arent around at all. But thats not the case here.And contrary to what Aa Bb said in an earlier review the range is very comfortably air conditioned.Super nice place.

I originally went to Florida Firearms Academy (FFA) to get my new night sights installed on my M&P Shield, they wanted $65 and wanted to keep it for a minimum of four days!!!! That is insane, I called Galati Guns and asked for details about getting the job done. They said $55 and 30mins. it was a deal!!! The employees there were quick and straight to the point without the BS that i received at FFA. This is the place to go to. I am very satisfied with the installation.

Were snowbirds down for the winter, been a while since weve been at a range. The little women is thinking of purchasing a smaller framed pistol to carry. We were checking out gun stores and ranges in the area and stopped at FFA. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Found FFA has rentals of the type she is is considering. Long story short, we now have a 3 month membership and have used the range with our own firearms. Plan to return several times during the remainder of our stay to fire both ours and their rentals. Thanks to the staff at Florida Firearms Academy for a great experience.Part 2,,Just left after a morning spent on the firing line. FFA has a lot of rentals so we were test firing a couple that we might be interested in as future purchases. We shot a Glock 43 9mm & S&W shield 9mm today. Next time Im thinken well comparison shoot a Glock 42 .380 for her and compare the S&W shield .40 for me. Amazing how fast you can blow thru a couple hundred rounds. Practice practice ya, groups are starten to tighten back up. Thanks guys, were glad we found the FFA range!You still rate a 5!

I went in there tues dec 8th looking for a holster for my new Canik tp9-v2. It being a not as wide known gun was going to be a challenge to find a premade holster. Not at FFA. The staff were very helpful. helping me find a holster that would accommodate the Canik . The Glock 17 holster which is made local by hand. Fit the bill and no pun intended but the bill was not bad at all .Especially for the quality .I dont shoot at any other indoor ranges in the area FFA is A+
