Great group, monthly events for members/guests. Sunset on the balcony with a stiff beverage from the full bar is unforgettable. Marina dockage down below.
I have been a life long member since my dad, and grandpa founded the club. Varnum J.Sheldon Jr ‘PeeWee’and Varnum J.Sheldon along with a few other men in the sea scouts. My dad was also race committee,my grandpa navy, coast guard at the light house. So, I have spent my life in nursing, which I contribute to them. We would rescue the small sail boats when the weather would get rough in the lake. I went from sunfish to a proud owner of a 4100 motor yacht. I am still a jr sailor at heart but a have brothers that I can crew along. My eyes are still looking for those distress sailors too. I am proud of our NOYC after Katrina. The Thursday night dinner was very good, and members very friendly. The club is very clean with glass trophie cases, and photos of my family members are still there.. I know pee wee would be very proud..
