Me and my girlfriend visit New Orleans a lot. This time we brought friends from the UK. This was the first time we visited Claires which was a mistake as I wish I had visited been visiting this place EVERYTIME I was down before. Ive never felt so at home and sitting with Claire and telling her our journey was just the best. The staff is friendly, theres pool, the prices are great, the music is solid as hell. I will make sure that I stop in and say hey from now on when I visit. Its gonna be a tradition here on out.

Great locals venue! Good beer selection and a bunch of charachters always makes this a fun place.

In an area of New Orleans where prices can soar beyond the clouds, this is an oasis of reasonably priced and varied beverages. Inside is dark but imaginitively decorated and has a pool table and air con. The toilets are clean and have all the required facilities /resources! They also have a screen for those who cant bear to be away from sport for too long, or just dont want to talk to the person theyre sitting with. Staff are friendly and helpful - special thanks to Paul who looked after us during our 4 day stay!

Cheap drinks. Place looks like a fun little dive bar. However, the entire place smells like bad armpit body odor. At first I thought it was the person who was right up front at the bar. But when I went to the bathroom, I noticed it pretty much throughout the whole building.

Great bar. Hanging out avoiding the rain. Probably has the best bartender in New Orleans. It’s a dive bar which is my speed, good beer, great service, and great customers

Not sure I would consider this a dive bar by NOLA standards. Its cleaner than most French Quarter bars. I was there on a Thursday night and it was pretty empty. It was actually hard to get a drink because the bartender was paying no attention to the patrons. He spent his time texting and smoking cigarettes outside. Maybe its better when its busy. Disappointed that I walked 8 blocks based on Yelp recommendations.

CJ was the best bartender we had in our time in the city. Super friendly and made amazing drinks! 10/10 for his hurricane and melonball. Sang Queen with us while we played pool, we wish we could’ve brought him back with us! Overall the bar has a nice vibe, clean and friendly. Would go back anytime!

Awesome place and friendly people. From Carlos and Amber behind the bar. To the owner Claire herself. And if you have your pet they are as welcomed as you are. On the way back from California will definitely stop by.

This is a wonderful neighborhood bar...no food, but the staff and owner are friendly, and the hospitality is first rate. They even let you bring your furry friend in and have a bowl of water at the front door for those that pass by. In an area that is dominated by tourist joints and pretentious pubs, Claires is a breath of fresh air and a haven! Toby gives it four paws up!! I give it five stars for beer and wine selection and service. I would rather go here than House of Blues to drink...better selection & half the price.

Friendly service, decent prices, would go back when in town. No food but they have menus and restaurants deliver there. Thats what we did.

Claire’s is a gem in the quarter. Typically not busy, cheap drinks, the nicest bartenders, and a pool table. Might be asked by locals if your a local if you drink here.

Awesome environment if you want to walk down and see the river, warm environment, puts home away from home. Oh and if youre lucky you get to meet Nolie!

Wonderful small bar with a great and very helpful staff. Interesting people and a good atmosphere. Not as crowded as the bourbon st. bars, so take that as you want. I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, with people who just wanted to hangout and enjoy a reasonably priced drink.

Our 1st stop in NOLA every trip. Awesome beer and liquor selection, atmosphere, music and OK bartenders. LoL Nah....the BEST bartenders in the quarter. We popped in for one drink years ago and made life long friends!!
