This is a great open air market! Lots of quality artists are there. They are all very nice people. My niece, sister and I each bought several items. One vendor gave us a discount for buying multiple items. I really liked the variety of vendors there as well. It is open a lot later at night than I would expect for an outdoor fair which is a fun little treat!
This a beautiful night market with very interesting local artists on display. Very hip and unique art it is a nice break from clubbing and always upbeat as the customers invariably are a little tipsy and in a celebratory mood. I always like sticking my head in there and am drawn by the strings of lights. Fun always every time I pass through.
Theres a lot of really great artists there and they all sell some really unique stuff. Everyone I talked to was able to take both cash and card so I didnt have to worry about running out of cash and not being able to get anything I wanted. They have painting, jewelry, sculptures, etc. Everyone there was really nice too. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you have a chance.
This is wonderful and a fun open air market great place to visit after the sun goes down nice area nice people lots of local artist and local hang out
Speculator Selection of different art forms. I settled on jewelry pieces from two different artist. I watched one artist create the beautiful jewelry items from zippers. Very orginal. Very well crafted.I bought a second piece from an artist that created jewelry from recycle guitar strings and various gems. All the artwork was superior in the market area.
My husband and I have enjoyed this market for years, and we finally got to bring our kids here last weekend. The vendors are always friendly, but they were especially sweet to our son who has developed an interested in rocks and gems. Every vendor selling jewelry stopped to show him various stones and gems. He was beyond excited when we left, and he is still talking about it days later.
Lots of variety from photography to painting to metalwork. Mostly the artists themselves behind the tables, I believe, and all super friendly. Plus you can hear the music from the bars around Frenchman street, so its got a great atmosphere. Only open in the evenings, highly recommend.
Fun, quirky area that was hosting an art sale when we visited. It featured a lot of unique artists - will definitely try to visit again next time were in town.
We had so much fun perusing the market! There was an assortment of jewelry, art, and all sorts of baubles. Our favorite thing here was the tintype photobooth. We really enjoyed talking to Jen and discussing the process of how the tintypes were made. We cannot wait to receive our tintype photo in the mail!
Never even knew this place existed. Picked up some nice essential oils that work great There is also many different forms of local artwork in this market that was very interesting also. We will be back.
What a great place to visit. Definitely worth a stop in to see local wares.
Beautiful outdoor area everyones so friendly. The vendors arent pushy either. A must see ️
Fun market with local art treasures! Much better quality than art in Jackson Square. Love talking to the artists at each booth about their wares. We found some quality artwork to take home with us. Word of advice: if you see something you like, buy it. I hesitated on a t-shirt I liked, went back the next night, and that artist was no longer there.
Fun place to check out! See local artisans and their beautiful products!
This is a tremendous little outdoor artist market. Multiple types of arts and crafts are available, and none of them are repackaged or mass produced. This is a great place to see and buy unique art, photos, clothing and more made by NOLA area artists.
We were looking for a place to sit, so we walked in to the market, which opens at 7pm. It is a pleasing place to watch and listen and buy. A nice gem in a whirl of music and sound.
Great place to check out local art and meet the artists!
Go where the locals go!! Better than Bourbon St, 5 or 6 blocks of pure New Orleans. Impromptu Brass Band street corner concerts, family fun, no worries!
So many creative vendors. Always enjoy visiting this place when I can.
We love this open air art spot in NOLA! It is a great distraction as you are walking the city and checking out the Frenchman St scene. There are some very talented local artists here. Definitely worth checking out.
Fun place. Somewhat upscale craft fair. Nice stuff overall.
There are some really good art installations from local artists. They work really hard and are very creative when it comes to their work. Well worth the stroll to even view their talent.
Gorgeous selection of home grown art and jewellery. A little on the priver.side of things but worth finding a bargain. Great banter from the vendors too.
Palace Market, is a Great Place to see and buy unique Art,Jewellery. The price is excellent .Beutiful Place
If the hustle and bustle of late night fun on Frenchman Street has got you overwhelmed, take a minute to get cultured at the Palace Market on Frenchman. With a selection ranging from saxophones repurposed at lamps to art prints you cant really go wrong. All of the shop vendors are super nice and will engage you in conversation no matter your level of sobriety. Support local artists!
Even if you have no plans on buying anything its still worth the trip. Its so fun. Its filled with local artists selling unique jewelry, photographs, clothing etc.
I love the atmosphere here at night. The lights, the artwork, jazz playing in the background... its not cheap though because you are looking at handcrafted works! I think a lot of prints and crafts I was looking at on average had a price tag of $50-$100. Some of the artists are real gems. If youre looking to have a good quality print to hang on your wall, this is good place to look. Usually, the artist is around to talk about their artwork too.
Delightful art market with artists setting up stalls under the twinkly lights. The art is great. Take your booze with you, after all youre in NOLA! Just be respectful of the artists and their work, please.
Such amazing artistry. Really incredible, guys and gals! Keep it up!
Great place to pick up momentous from NOLA.
Great spot for meeting local artists and picking up some cool stuff to tale home.
This place was an awesome place to visit. Loved the passion and vibe from the young art vendors! Would come here again.
Nice gathering place. Prices are tourist driven, so I didnt purchase anything. Some vendors didnt speak to us, but most were very professional.
A nice variety of local artists.
The night market is just the right combination of art, artists, music, hipsters, drunk tourists, and funky Frenchmen Street vibe. Stop in before or after a bite or show. Great brief nighttime activity for those too young to get into the many surrounding bars.
Love the variety and mix of people from all over.
Small open air market selling crafts by local artists:bow ties, paintings, poems, and etc
Very swanky, modern-yet-charming outdoor art market. And the art was top knotch! Theyve got some good vendors, as New Orleans is the city of street art, I found
Nice little art fair. A little eclectic but very cool.
Lots of awesome local artists of all kinds do a lot of excellent different kinds of art stuff!! Check out Smellys candles!
For tourists coming from out of town:It just another (yet very cute and pretty) artist market and it can be skipped. But if you want to look at some nice and interesting pieces of art and you are close by..Then this is a cute cozy one.I didnt like the fact that the rules in the entrance stated: No haggling
Open air market with several different arts/crafts available
Fun place and lots of cool art to buy or just browse through.
Fun place to walk around. Heard a lot of the vendors are NOCCA students or grads
This was a sale co-op of all different types of artisans local to New Orleans. There was so many different types of are .. paintings, jewelry, sculptures, books, photography prints.Unfortunately I could not take pictures as thats a big no no. They are open Thursday-Sundays
Definitely worth checking out for the food alone, but the music was excellent as well. Open seating, lots of space for groups, and close to the water if you want to take a stroll.
Fun area to hang out any time of day. Great local food and music. Much nicer than Bourbon Street...
This is a fun place to browse and chat with local artists. There are even poets for hire.
Had some good artists there
Interesting market place. Different vendors with unique items.
A fun place to get hand made one of a kind souvenirs from local New Orleans artists. Theres live music everywhere as well as good food and a great environment, especially on a weekend night. My favorite art there was the painted blazers, I have never seen anything like it before!
Almost no vendor here accepts credit cards, Inconvenient to say the least. Otherwise a good place to see local artwork, Bring cash if you plan to make any purchases.
I wanted to buy everything. The artists represents quite a variety of genre wood, leather, jewellery. Postcards t-shirts, etc all very unique. I think its a great venue that adds flavor to the locale. Accompanied by street jazz music. Poets on the street. Artists and their trade. It was an intoxicating environment.
A great place to find unique things
Awesome food and service at Adolfo restaurant while good strolling along the strip.
Must visit for some tasteful art while in New Orleans
Love this space, its hours, and the artists of whom are showcased. Fabulous local NOLA art!
Nice pieces of all kinds art if looking to buy something.
Amazing artists and a great selection of unique items!
Make Frenchmen st your destination. You have to go after 7 pm, hop into d b a and the Spotted Cat, listen to the music permeating the air, and most definitely also spend some time here checking out the Palace Market! I wanted to purchase more than a few things but regrettably did not. Handmade, local artists representing themselves. This is very New Orleans.
Go much fun! So many vendors!
Fun outdoor shopping. Lots of art dealers and cool stuff to see and buy

Beautiful location and amazing art
Wonderful artisan market place. I could spend way too much time and money there.
Great art and great artists. Definitely a New Orleans treat.
Great place for local shops
Its a fun little place to visit at night. Very hipster.
Great place for unique local art and jewelry
While in NOLA on vacation, we stumbled upon this nightly streetside art festival/show and, uncharacteristically of us, walked out with some local art (from Spencer Epps, to give the artist credit where its due). This show adds a bit of relaxed local flavor to the already authentic Frenchmen Street music scene, and I recommend that you stop by when its open. Im not sure when the show starts, but all of the artists indicated that it ended at midnight, so you have plenty of time to pick something out!
Great little market with a gaggle of vendors. Make sure you stop by when visiting Frenchmen street, theres something for everyone.
Go visit. You are very likely to find that meaningful gift that shouts New Orleans.
