Fun gallery a must visit
An absolute must see every time we are in New Orleans! Matt and his staff are fantastic, amazing people. The art here will put a smile on your face every single time. Matt has a great sense of humor that spills over into his art. His staff is always welcoming and a joy to spend time with.
I love this place! I have every Barkus poster, except 1998. The 4 walls of my bedroom display off of the Barkus posters....also, have alot of Matts cat posters....Great place to visit!
Great informal art thats not expensive.
Fantastic gallery. Super nice people!
Love this gallery. Ive bought more than my place can fit. Maybe they can sell me a bigger house :)
One of the less intimidating galleries
Not a big fan of New Orleans in general, but the art area of the french quarter is great, and this store is a perfect example of why. Cute, funny animal comedic panels (mainly featuring cats and dogs) made me laugh. Grest for any animal lover.
Although the artist seemed to have had serious childhood trauma issues I really enjoy the whimsical nature of this unique gallery. Located in the heart of the French Quarter it really captures the quirkiness of the people and animals of this city. I heard the girls that are employed there work the artist to death and rarely pay the artist Matt Rinard (who has lived a tortured life). I also heard he has to dance naked on Bourbon Street to make ends meet. At any rate you should make an effort to spend a ton of money in this gallery so the artist doesnt become a heroin addict or burglar.
Whenever my wife and I travel to New Orleans, we are sure to drop by the gallery to see whats new. I have purchased three of Matts works and intend to buy more. They make me happy every time I look at them! I recommend that everyone stop by this gallery.
Cute art, and beautiful art here! You should stop in! Maybe grab something. Its a good price as far as art goes.
Since I was in the New Orleans for a four month assignment at NASA’s Michoud site, I had lots of time to walk the streets of the French Quarter. I found Royal Street absolutely delightful, and of all the galleries on Royal, I fell in love with Gallery Rinard. I sent my brother and his wife a beautifully framed print with a cat character - humorous and enjoyable. They packed it up and mailed it to them for me. Customer service is superlative. Love this place!
Visited a few years back. Loved the gallery and the art. My favourite painting is one I bought there of a cocker spaniel. Unique one of a kind piece.
CUTE. Any animal lovers dream. It tickles you in a funny place. Very aesthetically pleasing. Bright colors. Novel ideas.
Waited there for at least 20 minutes on Saturday morning and no one ever showed up. Very unique items in the window display.
Great Selection
Encounter the art of Georg Williams here and had him paint my pet, Also snapped up a Pete the Cat Marie Laveau
