One of the places that make New Milford a great place to live if you like hiking & biking quiet and beautifully kept trails that seem to go on forever. I love this place!
Closed to non-resident of New Milford due to COVID-19. Big signs there that your car will be towed if they find out you came from elsewhere.
Easy to Moderate Hike, bikes are allowed, dogs are allowed, poison ivy can be avoided (very easily on most) on all trails.
I love it here! The trails are mostly flat and run along the river. Its a great place to walk the dog.
Its flat, somewhat scenic and is completely litter free. It would get 5 stars if the parking situation was better.
A nice option for a local visit with a bike or dog. Not really worthy of a day or half day trip.Didnt read closely - but there was a sign referencing PCP. Yikes.
Beautiful River setting. Easy access with plenty of opportunity to sit and relax. For bike riding you can extend the path all the way to Gaylordsville.
Great for beginning hikers. Very few hills but scenic
This is a very nice little trail! Its good for biking, although it meets up quickly with a somewhat gravely and potholed roadway which runs by the river. The parking lot I saw by railway was a bit small so keep that in mind if youre planning a group excursion.
Great river trail perfect for a long walk with your best friend (dog)
It is easy for hikers and handicapped, being paved for the entire length.
One of my favorite places to run! Clean and forgiving trails all along the river. Well trafficked and safe. Dog friendly.
Good beer, great atmosphere. Live music and lawn games plus plenty of tables with umbrellas.
Great area, will visit sgain
Good place to walk, but it is a great place to ride you bike. The trail connects onto River road so you can ride it all the way up to Gaylordsville. Great views of the river and many places to stop and look at the river. You could at that point ride to bull bridge and continue up to Kent on the West side of the river. One day maybe they will add the connector so you can do this without getting onto 7 ( I guess you could go back east on normal roads to come out at bull bridge and avoid 7 right now using normal roads).
Serene and so peaceful!
Great for running or family walks
Freezing. Nice flat walk. Great for kids
Safe and easy walk.
Worth the walk.
Great place to walk along the Housatonic river. For parking search for Sega Meadows parking.
Great for recreation
Great place
Not very stroller friendly
