Pretty sure this place is haunted. You get this eerie chill as you walk around.
This place deserves a perfect 5-star rating. As an aspiring figure skater, this skating rink is an ideal place to practice my skills. It has a clean and large area which makes it easier for me to skate. The place also has other unique facilities and offers high-quality lessons yet affordable to each student. The instructors are professional and the place has clinics and other facilities and materials that ensure the safety of everyone. Everything in Iceland is amazing and I am highly recommending it.
Large rink and the staff is always curteous and professional.
Nice place to bring your family.
Nice place. The ice got a little slushy toward the end of the session but overall a good time.
Ultra clean .. ez parking .. reasonable price for freestyle..
A local ice skating rink that offers classes and leagues. We were there for a birthday party. The kids had a great time. There is ample parking in the back, and you dont have to remove your skates to order food or use the bathroom (though it helps).
Good size skating rink with good pricing of you purchase a 10 pack pass for $75 for public sessions. Rink is not too crowded.Lockers are available to keep your personal items locked up while you skate. Great to have this indoor skating rink in the area.
Not many other indoor rinks I know of in the area. Ice is well kept, rental skates are, well... rental skates, I couldnt get a pair that fit right. Still a fun experience, and would definitely go back.
The person at the cashier booth is very friendly and helpful. The skate rental personnel were awesome too in helping me figure out what size I needed. The only thing that I believe could be improved is that the skates could have those little rubber bumpers on it for beginners and an area could be cordoned off for beginners as well where they can charge to learn the basics for people and kids starting out. I think this would be helpful as people who are just learning to let go of the wall wouldnt feel bothered to move out of the way of traffic along the sides. But generally great staff and a great place to go for fun.
I have been going here for years and its still an awesome place
I love this place i took lessons here and now i skate here regularly
Such a fun place to go to for any level of skating. Staff members are friendly and theres plenty of space for both skaters and viewers. Great place for kids parties as well!
They need to update and clean facility
I did my daughter birthday party there. Not as expected and pricey for the service. I will never do it again there.
Always a nice all around experience .
Nice hometown ice rink with small snack bar. They add public sessions according to school district vacation calendar. Good price for kids birthday parties too. Cozzi Sports Pro shop is inside - skate sharpening, complete hockey equipment, figure skates. Dante and his son Mike are wonderful and very knowledgeable.
Excellent place to spend healthy and happy time as a child or as an adult! Love going to Iceland in New Hyde Park! Don’t be afraid of ice! Just try it and you will love it!
Have taken my kids there for. 19 yrs, they love it at Iceland, just took my 22 yr old today for her birthday. While she was skating mommy was going thru memory lane....it was awesome
Wonderful place for the all family we all a great time but the pizza is the worst. I know its frozen pizza but they should do better then that and retrain the staff to do a better job. My two 5 year old grandkids were asking what they were eating.
We usually go during the kids skating session. The ice is good and the staff are watchful. The other sessions tend to be a bit rougher with the older kids on the ice but the staff are still there making sure everyone is safe. Prices are reasonable with a discount count coupon available online.
Great service. Birthday parties are very well organized and very good price. Food was great!
My kids love it.
The good: Price to skate is cheap. Rentals are also cheap. The bad: Very limited parking. Three pairs of rental skates and they are all loose, wobbly, broken. The ankles are not supported and they should all be jettisoned and replaced. The guys behind the table take one of your shoes in exchange for a pair of rental skates, so you have to walk along a watery floor with one socked foot, making the sock wet and cold inside the loosely fitting skate. The facility does not appear to have been updated since 1987.For some reason, the place was packed. Theres a lot of little kids bumping into everyone. The ice was practically unskateable.Good luck going there!
Friendly and helpful staffs; however, this facility is dated. The rental skate is old and liternally breaking apart. it is better bring your own skate. The ice skating rink condition is okay. It is a single standard hockey rink size. The side spectator bench had a heater but is not on, leaving the parents sat in cold to watch their kids or grand kids to play.
Good ice, friendly staff, great location. Reasonable fee for public skating.
Great price. Friendly service and ample parking.
Great spot to ice skate and we are novices.
Clean, good Ice needs to be updated.
Very nice place and very convenient. We all had a great time. I also had my blades sharpened. I couldnt believe the difference it made in my skating. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
The ice at the rink doesnt freeze during the summer so if youre playing a game is not that great public sessions are fun good amount of people show up
One of my favorite rinks to go to. The staff is very nice and the ice is in a good condition. Favorite part is the session times. I highly recommend going.
Best hockey teams in new york state great arena modern and fancy and a terrific staff! Loved my ecpernince
Fun place but facility needs a freshening up
Gross, locker rooms super small. The ice is small, choppy and uneven, the boards are trash it smells bad in there
Smaller ice surface. Decent locker rooms. Excellent pro shop
Ice is good. They do a great job of keeping it cold even in the middle of summer.
I had fun at Iceland I like taking lessons there its fun to learn how to ice skate
Easily accessible, close to many towns, decent lessons, dingy parking lot and inside is too old and dark
Nice place
Can get crowded. Its convenient for sure tho!
Friendly staff.Clean establishment.Decent prices.Old, tired rental skates.Rough ice surface needs Zamboni. Not free for kids under 5.
Nice Ice Rink...plenty of parking, well run.
Ice is hard & cold. Just like it should be. Fun to watch the teams play hockey..
The rink is not too crowded and they maintain their ice often enough. Thats all I ask for an ice rink.
Fun place for ice-skating year round. Lots of parking.
Definitely dated, but with some new lights over the ice and the additional heating-it is a game changer.
Good for partys and fun for all ages
Great, good crowd of all ages.
Good rink. Not much to say one way or the other. The people could be a little nicer though.
Great rink, its cold but its a ice rink so what do u expect, staff is great, the guy in the front who stamps the guest is really sweet.
There was employees speed skating and coming really close to the people skating. The beginners would just drop when they came more like a hazard than help
Its fun staff help and check if your alright also it isnt to far away
Great ice skating rink for a friendly match-up. Very courteous and helpful employees.
Nice place if you own your own skate. However rentals are a bit old and worn out.
Worst Place on Long Island by far, My sons fingers got ran over by a speed skater that wasnt kicked off the ice, after being hit by this retarded and mindless kid, who then happened to run over 3 of his fingers and give him teared tendons. it costed me 30,000 dollars for people who are just teens that dont care if the older and more retarded kids run over 7th and 8th graders fingers. 15 bucks in return for a 30,000 dollar injury that took me from 100 to 0. Should have sued them!
Older facilty kept up, nice pro shop
Reasonable price. Great staff.
Great ice skating rink with less crowd.
Home rink to the Icecats youth hockey organization. Ok rink, could use sind renovation. The parking is sparse in front of the rink, but theres plenty of parking in the back.
Bit old but a fun place
Its ice but the boards are terrible and the locker rooms are too small. Pucks frequently bounce off gaps in the boards at weird angles. Dont bother clearing the puck by wristing it up the boards here.
Frosty family fun
The pro shop is amazing and very knowledgeable
Could not thread old tattered laces, ice skate heel was seperating from the blade in the back. Closed 1/2 early with no warning
Its an old building and it looks it. Parking lot is a disaster and needs to be resurfaced to prevent falling. The entire place is in desperate need of updating.
The ice rink couldve been larger.
Junk rink.
Very small, super cold. Its a very old rink. No showers in the locker rooms. Players said the ice surface was terrible.
Cold..But had the skates I needed for my daughter...no wait like other rinks
Great
This place could use an upgrade.
Ok
Great place!!
Fun happy place.
Clean!!!
Very good
Gross, and there was piss everywhere. The locker rooms were smaller than my half bathroom. And everything is old and outdated. Awful place.
I fell a lot
Ok but a very cold rink
Great not-to-crowded-place
Very nice
Old place needs to be replaced.
Its a dive
So beautiful
Cold dirty dump
The people at this rink are very friendly.
Great place for kids
Choppy ice
Great place to learn
Needs updating
Did they forget how they ran Laces? Open skating is very limited, kind of dumpy
Old needs updating
Mostly a high school crowd. But a few older couples.
Locker rooms are tiny and freezing, ice is not great, the lights have not worked for games, the score board has not worked for games, the boards arent great. This place is basically a dump. But hey, its ice.
