I have brought at least four guitars here. Their work is reliable, meticulous, and spot-on. I just picked up two today I brought in for set ups. The playability is greatly improved, and intonation is perfect. Highly recommended!

Chris used to care, when I first started going there, many years ago. He was the only one I would take my instruments to for repair or setups. As time has passed, he has cared less and less, and even become difficult. When he called to let me know that he finished a project way ahead of when he promised it, I told him on the phone that it would take a day or two for me to get the money together. His answer? Oh boy, here we go. Totally inappropriate for someone who changed the schedule to insult the customer with a thoughtless and unfair statement such as that. I pointed out, when I picked it up that he had treated me like s*** In his dealings with me.He prices things based on if he wants the work. I asked him to add a pickup to a bass, where there wasnt one. He had the bass in for an estimate. Finally, after FIVE WEEKS, I called to ask what on Earth was going on. He claimed that he didnt have a template to do it, and moaned about how it would mean taking the bridge off the guitar to do it. Hi price was $500. I took it to my new guy who found the template on the internet and ended up charging me $190. Clearly, Chris is giving the F*** you price. My new guy at The Guitar Fix is hungry for the work.Chris was once good. He seems to have retired a while ago. The problem is, he still shows up.

For all I know that little shack with the locked door might house the most incredible tiny guitar Museum in America. But alas, I wasted my trip and never found out because the door was locked and no one answered the doorbell or the phone. The hours on the front door indicate that it should have been open. The cute voicemail says that they dont return phone calls due to high volume of calls. Ha ha ha. That is a joke bigger than the entire Museum.

Unreal collection inside! Wow! Also got a custom bone nut and saddle carved for my Taylor. Christ did an amazing job! The tonal quality is phenomenal. The guitar just got a set of balls in the low E string. Thanks!

I have a 1971 Martin S-35S, and Chris is the only tech ever to touch it in 45 years. He is absolutely the best, an obsessed perfectionist. He is also honest and fair in his pricing. Sometimes he gets backed up, but its worth waiting for.

Did a very fine job on an old mandolin that had hoped to be restored. Took many weeks. Finished instrument was worth the wait. Looks fabulous.
