I wrote a negative review before. Not sure how its missing....Refused to refund me almost $2000 for a class I signed my 3 kids up for in the Spring. They told me to sell my classes to someone and they could do nothing. Have not received a dime! Really? Guess I should have to pay for class my children cannot participate in during a pandemic due to medical reasons. After countless emails, they finally decided to update their website to a newly made refund policy due to covid and referred me to it.... What does that do? Further state you dont care about stealing money from your customers? I am not the only one who has been rejected a rightfully deserved refund. Disgusting.
Great, huge place with a ton of obstacles, they change it up every class and that keeps the children engaged and builds their bodies and sharpens their minds. Been taking my son since 2 y.o.2 huge separate rooms for different activities.Coach Vicki has been great and has a lot of patience with all these kids and knows how to engage them and keep them interested.
My 6 year old son takes ninja warrior classes and my 9 year old does competitive gymnastics. Ninja has built up his overall strength and confidence on the playground. Coaches are great. I feel my kids are safe here. They are pushed to train hard and achieve their skills but have fun too! They’ve made great friendships here.
** I would like to start by saying that I was an early education teacher before I had my son. I have plenty of experience with good and not-so-good early childhood development programs and instructors**My son is 18 months old and this summer was our first semester at Progressive. I have nothing but fabulous things to say about this facility! We have had a wonderful experience in class. When other programs (we have tried several in the area*) are on autopilot- these coaches are focused on making my child feel comfortable and included in the group. He is our first, so we really wanted him to get some experience interacting with other children and this class has really been a great jumping-off point. What excites me the most about this program as a whole is that there is obvious room for growth. The gymnastics program includes a competitive team (does not apply to us- but for me it shows the expertise/ability in the coaching staff) AND they have a Ninja program which I cant wait for my son to grow into!(We stayed behind to watch a class once and these kids were swinging on ropes, climbing up obstacles, and jumping on all sorts of equipment.)Thank you to Coach Victoria for a fabulous semester! We will see you again in the fall (and beyond!)
The most fun I’ve ever seen my daughter have. She came for a ninja birthday party and after that I had to sign her up. Her overall physical strength shocks me every time we go to the playground. I’m great full we found a program that has help her excel.
We love the Ninja classes at Progressive. Coach Christian and the rest of the staff are so fun and encouraging and they really give the kids a good workout. My daughter looks forward to this class all week and so do we, as it is the only class we’ve ever found that actually tires her out! Win, Win!!
Our family is new to the area. We began at Progressive with the gymnastics team and the ninja warriors class. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They made a point of pairing our girls up with other girls who were experienced and friendly so that they didnt feel left out. The gym is well equipped and clean. Excellent experience so far.
The PAC is amazing! Theyre patient with the children and make them feel like real ninjas! Great for childrens confidence and health. Thanks PAC. :)
We just started here after I was referred by a colleague. Our older daughter is in their gymnastics program, and our younger daughter does the ninja warrior. The coaches are engaging and still encourage the girls to push their limits, its a fun environment, and a smoothly-run operation. Highly-recommended.
GREAT COACHES! My daughter has come to 2 parties and can’t stop talking about it. We’re signing her up for the Fall and she’s having her birthday party here.
I can’t say enough about this place. My daughter has been to nursery school here, tap/ballet class, and just finished her 19 week gymnastics class today. They put on the SWEETEST most organized program ever to show what she has learned the last 4-5 months. I couldn’t be more impressed and continue to tell my friends about this place. In 2.5 years I have never had a bad experience. The owner and her daughters are amazing. They definitely know gymnastics and take great care of the kids!
Best gymnastics/sports place ever. My daughter has been practicing gymnstics at Progressive for about four years now and she loves it.The place and the equipment are always clean and well maintained, but what we like the most is the environment. The coaches are very professional and very nurturing. The kids develop a very strong sense of dicipline, camaraderie and team work among other values. It has been an amazing experience for her...
Awsome place for kids to learn and have fun and make new friends. The gymnastics is awesome and competitive and gives the kids a sense of purpose while learning life skills at the same time. The ninja warrior gym is spectacular it looks and feels just like the one we watch on tv American ninja warrior. I would recommend this place to anyone.
This is the greatest gym any child could ever go to. My son and daughter saw American Ninja Warrior on tv and they immediately wanted to start doing those obstacles. After searching the gyms in the area, this place had the nicest and newest equipment.
This place is awesome!!! My daughter came here for a birthday party and had a blast. It’s clean, colorful, and huge. The coaches were so good with the children.
We have used Progressive for the last 10 yrs through 3 children. There are so many options and opportunities under one roof for boys and girls. Its very family oriented and my kids love being here.
I have two boys, ages 7 and 10, and they absolutely love The PAC. Their ninja warrior equipment is like nothing I’ve seen anywhere else. We’re definitely coming back.
Workers are very rude and not inviting at all. They didn’t introduce themselves to the children or the counselors. Everything was rushed. When you spend so much money to go here, you would expect the experience to be 100% better.
My daughter has been attending Progressive for 5 years (age 5-10 so far). She loves the staff, the sport and competing in USAIGC. She’s been able to travel and compete in a variety of elite competitions from States, Regionals and World’s - NJ, FL, TN, and Bermuda with Progressive. Other countries attend worlds such as South Africa, Canada, and the UK. It’s quite the experience. Progressive has offered her the best environment and training needed to progress to high school and maybe even college level.
My child has attended PAC for years. It is the most innovative supportive physical fitness learning center in New York/ Long Island.Children are taught disciple and self respect while learning age appropriate techniques to further there advancement towards the next level of excercis. Children explore greater expectation of there inner confidence levels . The coaches and staff members are caring and extremely understanding to each childs individual needs. I dont know what I would do without PAC. I highly recommend to all!!!!!!. Thanks to the awsome STAFF.
Awesome place! Coaches are energetic and they have very impressive equipment.
I was delighted by the pleasant staff and the kids couldnt be any happier. Definately the new favorite spot!
I loved it here. We come every chance we get.
I LOVE this gym so much! I am an competitive gymnast here and through all these years my hard work has payed off! I am in level silver and the coaches are just so amazing. For people who say progressive gymnastics wants money and doesnt care about the students, that is NOT true. All the coaches there are so sweet, loving, fun, easy to talk to,supportive, VERY good at coaching, for people to talk about them with out having any permission completely disgust me
I absolutely LOVE Progressive Gymnastics. I have been coming since I was about 4 or 5 years old. They have taught me so much, that I have joined the competitive team. All of the coaches are amazing and SO nice. They are always encouraging me to do my best to accomplish big things.
Great facility. Very spacious.
Such a great program ! The coaches are so friendly and great with the kids!
My daughter has been there for 2.5 years and she is in competition team. Coaches are great and nice.
My son got hurt several times due to poor judgement from the teenagers running this place. He hurt his knee when they allowed too many kids to jump on the trampoline at the same time unsupervised (apparently their own protocol allows one or two kids on at a time). Several other times the coach allowed multiple kids to climb on the same obstacle at the same time (when clearly it was designed for a single child at a time) and we saw several kids get hurt. Finally, at the end of the class session they have a demonstration for the parents, but in order to gain admission they charge $5 per person at the door. This is absurd as we had already paid hundreds of dollars for the class. Its not about the money as they could have charged another $20 for the classes and nobody would have minded, but it shows that they are only interested in nickel-and-diming the parents at every opportunity.
I am NOT floored at all the responses, because the place looks very inviting. But walk thru with a blue LED light & see if its still inviting ijs
My daughter has been going here for a year. The gym at first seemed to be OK. After the fall semester of classes they told me that she was very advanced and wanted her to join the advanced gymnastics for the next spring session. It was very expensive, but I made the choice to register her again because she enjoyed going. On her last day of gymnastics class for the spring semester my daughter told me she wanted to ask if she got in to the more advanced classes. I gave her permission to ask the coach how the girls find out via a meeting or letter in the mail. My eight year old just asked Excuse me coach Lexi but I wanted to know if I made it to advanced gymnastics for next year?, her response was with an attitude Im sorry but your not good enough followed by a fake smile. As a mother who wants to protect her child I went into defense mode as tears ran down her cheeks. I told coach Lexi that not how you talk to an eight year old and you should never tell a child they are not good at something. If she didnt make the cut then you sit down with the child talk about all the good things they do and then talk about how next year the two of you will work hard on the things that need improvement, followed by being optimistic about trying out next year. I mean I dont think thats asking too much for a coach to do. These girls really look up to the coaches and to be treated so horribly is crushing. The owner just stood their with her arms crossed not saying a word. Its sad how she allows these young girls with no expierence to run the show and treat children this way. This place just wants your money, they dont care about the kids safety (my child got hurt multiple times), and they put too much competitive pressure on the children ( yelling at them throughout class) instead of promoting a enjoyable expierence. Gymnastics should be fun for children and this gym takes the joy out of your kids heart. Make the right choice and go somewhere else. Worst expierence of my life with rude and unprofessional people.
Owner of this place is very rude and disorganized. Don’t go !
