Great place for special occasions. Its spacious, with easy access to both I91 & I95. Parking is a problem in colder weather since you will probably have to walk a couple of blocks to get there. It also has a great view of the Long Island Sound. There are a few historical pictures, factual stories and artifacts from the old boathouse in New Haven.

Good aesthetic appearance and good space for parties

My organization celebrated our tenth anniversary at our yearly fundraiser, and decided to change venues - this place did not disappoint! Perfect setting, the staff was extremely easy to work with, and all of our guests complimented the new venue. Very glad that we chose the Canal Dock.

Beautiful spot. Attended a function there and it was a nice interior space with harbor views and outside decks and also exhibits inside regarding the boathouse history. I do not know when the facility is generally open or if it is only for events. If you can see it I recommend it! The photo is a piece of the old Yale boathose on exhibit in the new, since the old one which was demolished due to highway construction.

Dont overlook this new pizza and more place. The Nolo burger is great . Thin crust pies you could eat for day. More Neapolitan than Apizza. Still, fun atmosphere and brewery.
