Due to the pandemic circumstances, I cannot give a thorough review. I did enjoy myself & so did my company. We were in a spacious tent & the heating, service, music, & entertainment was all agreeable.I know in a better time the experience would be so much better. Cant wait to go again.
Good selection of food, beer, and drinks. Cocktails are overpriced, but beer is priced okay. We love that Stress Factory has managed to stay open during covid, and we are grateful that we get to see comedy still. Friendly staff and heated patio, with social distancing.
Owners are great. I felt like I was being entertained in their back yard. Fun times
The Stress Factory was great! We had a really nice time. They held the show outdoors under a tent because of Covid-19. I think it was better outside, its more spacious than inside. The staff was friendly, good food, I would recommend it if youre looking for a comedy show.
Great, great, great. The burger I had was absolutely delicious, medium rare, avocados that were perfect, bacon nicely cooked. Drinks were nice the wings are great no fat all chicken the curly fries were memorable lol. Service was nice, it was understandably slow because of the amount of people attending the show but that didn’t effect anything. Great night, funny show, nice staff. For sure I’d come back.
Vinnie Brand obviously loves what he does! He couldnt do any more to make you feel welcome! Always a good time! They were very aware of Covid protocol and I felt very safe!
Weve been going to Vinnies place for years. Tonight we attended live for the first time post-COVID. Vinnie and his team put on a first rate show. The food has slipped a little in quality, but the volume and quality of the comedy and live music is excellent. Highly recommended!
Great outdoor seating to enjoy the shows. (COVID-19 rules) Wonderful staff that quickly serves & doesnt distract from the sets. Convenient parking next door. Will definitely come with friends for more
Vinny did an amazing job opening outside under the tent! We felt safe and his staff was very friendly and accommodating. Great Night Out. Highly recommended.
Great outdoor seating for covid. The whole few blocks around the shops are closed down for foot traffic. Felt safe and the show was killer. Polite workers, good food, great laughs, an all around great time.
They are handling covid safety in an awesome way and the outside tent space is great. Felt very comfortable at our table and the servers are doing an amazing job. Would recommend and will definitely be coming back for more events.
Great. Also good comics, food and atmosphere. Not bad prices. Good fun
Great place. Food and drinks are good. Also great thru the pandemic
A Comedy Club with great food. Had a fantatsic night out on a business trip. Will try to visit again. Burgers are amazing!
I have been here many times over the years and have yet to be disappointed with the venue, comedians, or service. Vinnie is a great guy and genuinely cares about his business and patrons. The experience is always top notch. I have recently went back during the pandemic (before & after) the canopy was set up. The difference truly shows just how much Vinnie and Vicki care about making the show the best around. Looking forward to many more visits, thank you for the great time!
Because of covid, seating is now outside in a very spacious tent complete with heaters. It is a very nice experience outside.
My wife and I loved the outdoor seating. Everyone was super nice and all respected COVID-19 safety measures. Food was good- exactly what you pay for. Easy parking which was a plus too.
Super smooth & great comedy club experience. Outdoor seating, food & drinks, and top-notch comedian performances.
We saw Dave Atell and he was awesome. We were there a while back when George Lopez was there too. Food and staff great. Three levels of parking right next door.
They get really big names and its an awesome venue. Parking garage right next door
I enjoyed myself DL was funny and also the other comedians that were there. The only bad thing is someone backed into my car and of course didnt leave any information I was parked in that lot right next to the building I didnt see any cameras where I was parked and no one was around for me to ask any questions, I shouldve parked on the street like I started to.
Vinnie Brand is the best! Food is delicious, service is amazing, and the shows are hilarious!
Great place, great staff, amazing performance. Had the buffet which was less than good, meatloaf was turned but they removed it. Could up the buffet game a wee bit. They did strawberries and champagne which was really cute! Strawberries were so good. I was in a wheelchair and they were very handicapped accessible. Great night! (Minus the meatloaf) The owner was an awesome guy as well!
Great place, always a great time, been here a half a dozen times, its fun even when forced outdoors during the pandemic. Also Its in a nice part of jersey where you can have a nice night out.
They have an outside setup with standing heaters. So its perfect even for the approaching cooler weather.
The comedy was top-notch! The owner is hilarious and very welcoming. The tickets, food and drinks are extremely reasonably priced and the food was very tasty. I had the hummus and Pita plate oh, my husband had several Arnold Palmers, our friends had a sampler platter and we didnt buy the buffet but those around us seem to be enjoying it and I regretted not having purchased it once I saw everyone else. I almost opted for the VIP tickets but Im glad I didnt because while theyre have a better vantage point and are directly on top of the talent, its very cramped upfront and you have to maneuver through the seats to get to and from the bathroom. It is extremely crowded but thats to be expected of a good comedy club. The bathrooms our updated, stalls are plentiful they were very clean at the beginning of the show but by the end they had been slightly neglected. There was one waiter in particular who though he was not waiting on our table, walked over any way to stabilize the slightly wobbly table that wasnt bothering us in the least. He was extremely thoughtful. Our waitress was sweet but we were slightly neglected. Overall I think that a fifth Star could have been earned if they had employed one more waitress and someone to bus the tables as well as straighten up the bathroom throughout the set. Parking is directly next door and was not terribly expensive. An overall great experience, we hope to return when it warms up because the outdoor area complete with a cute little bar and tables seems to be a great place to wait on the second show. You do have to wait on line for the second show of the evening oh, they have space heaters exceeding is a first-come first-serve basis so it pays to get there early. All in all, a great night out! Thanks Vinny
Always a great time. Great date night
Such a great venue. The stage is in a great spot with enough cameras and TVs to display the stage for different parts of the venue. The owners son was a great help the night visited and was super up beat like his father. The owner is hilarious and gets everyone nice and comfortable for the acts that evening. Will be back again, a great place to spend New Years Eve.
Always fun, always a good laugh. Cant wait for next show!
Had a great time! Saw the show with the hypnotist and it was a great show. Been coming here for years and saw a lot of famous people. Things have pretty much stayed the same over the years. Happy to see that they modernized with helping people pay using a square system. Looked sure convenient. We just had some starters, but I remember the food being better. But then again, it was just starters.
Ive been coming to the Stress Factory for decades. Vinnie Brand is always a great host and manages to find excellent comics regularly. Every once in a while a famous comic could come in and do a set too. One time Wanda Sykes showed up and really made the night special.Like any other comedy club Ive been to, there are a few things that could be changed to really set the place apart. 1. The chairs are the same chairs Ive sat in for decades and sitting in them almost cripples you after sitting for the whole show. 2. Sometimes the food isnt really what it should be. Ive heard many complaints over the years and have had some of my own here and there but for me its mostly been OK. 3. Service during a comedy show is always slower than any other kind of service. Im happy that SF now has servers carry around card readers so you dont have to wait endlessly for them to come back. But during the show, its slower, harder to order because you want to be quiet for the live show, etc.Im not sure if the venue ever plans to improve these issues but it would be really amazing if they did. I know there is come nostalgia about sitting in a basement and experiencing live anything, but my I feel my suggestions are fair and would enhance the experience. Much love for the place!
Went to the outside show for Big Jay Oakerson, it was an awesome outside set up and a hilarious night. I look forward to going back soon!
Nice to be back...love this place. Vinnie and Vicki rockin the patio! :-)
Alwats a good time made the best with covid conditions making out door stage and best of comics and staff
I have not been to a comedy club in years, but I am certainly glad I went. We were a family of five on NYE. OH MY GOODNESS did we laugh beginning with Vinnie and then with two other hilarious comedians. The buffet was awesome, the comedians wonderful. What I appreciated the most was being thanked by the owner himself for coming. It was so nice to meet his family as well. Top notch business. We will be back! Thanks for the memories!
Felt super safe! Out door awesome atmosphere
We was looking for something for New Years evening. Not dressy or outrageously expensive. Do to the good reviews we decided for this place. It was nice, the comedians entertaining and funny. The place was packed, for my taste to much, so I was uncomfortable on the high chair. The food buffet was very tasty but we left hungry. Out waiter was outstanding and refilled us from the open bar all night long. We would go again, but on a regular day when its hopefully not so packed. We had fun
The Stress Factory never disappoints with The comedy, food and friendly service.5 mics from me
Even outside this place is great. Funny comics, great food and a fun time for all.
Awesome comedy club in New Brunswick. The service staff here were very helpful and accommodating. The drinks here are fantastic, you get great value for your money. The venue itself is an intimate setting with tables set very close to the stage so if youre up close you can be a target
If you want to see a good show in a great environment then this is your place. I went like 13 years ago and had a great time. And I went again a few months ago and had an even better time. Saw Kevin Nealon this last time and he was hilarious. The owner of the club is at all the shows I think and he is funny laid back guy it seems. It is a definite highlight of you are in New Brunswick.
Perfect outside, 6 ft apart, dining & fun!!
Incredible performance by Tim Dillon on the lovely patio under the tent.
Helping use laugh through covid. Awesome staff!
I have been to this venue several times amd have been quite pleased but tonight I was disappointed. I understand that this a new normal, post co-vid period and I was truly excited about seeing tonights show outside. But our 8 pm show ended abruptly at 9 and the main act Vic Dibitetto was only 15 minutes. We received free tkts for a Thursday or Friday that is not a special event and I see none on the website. Total bummer. Thanks for responding to my review so sincerely. That is worth 5 stars to me. I wasnt aware of the new set up and I was just comparing it to last fall. Sorry you guys are going through this situation and look forward to the days when you reopen fully.
This place is just phenomenal. Getting here early for the show is key to avoiding waiting outside. I reccomend 40 min prior to door time. I literally had appetizer and a drink in my hands 10 minutes after being seated. All drinks after that were extremely quick. Ends up being an expensive night but well worth it.
We had a Humorous ni8, worth it.
Been here multiple times in the past. Great spot in downtown New Brunswick. During the week you can catch open mic nights. There is a parking lot right next door if your not lucky to grab one of the few street parking spots in front. The food is so/so. I wouldnt grab a meal here just something to snack on during the show. The service is good but can be slow especially during packed shows. They do the best with what they have but could probably use more servers during those times.
This place is awesome!!! Vinnie brings in great Comedians and the food is delish!!!
Marlon Wayans was funny! The club has a tent set up with tables set for social distancing, and the wait staff is properly masked.
So Close to Home! The Stress Factory provides top rated comedy, terrific food, great service - all for an affordable price tag. Just attended last nights New Years Eve show- between Vinnies act and the headliner we all had a much needed laugh and a great night out. This place never disappoints!
We went with another couple after receiving free tickets from my boyfriends job. It did not disappoint. The comedians were funny and drinks were good! Would definitely go back.
Awesome time and great friendly staff!!
Enjoyed myself. Must come early and better to get a pub table because its too crowded at the regular tables. Food was good. I got the buffet. Wish there were wings included though!
The Stress Factory Comedy Club has some of the very best comics. When I say that I mean both well established, top names and those up and coming comics that have you in stitches. Every seat in the venue is a good one and the prices are reasonable. I have to say the staff are always very nice, well at least to me. Makes for a great night out with friends or if you are on a date.
Great outside set up. Vinnie is a cool guy
It is the perfect sized venue with an intimate feel! Its not too small and its not too big either. We saw Dusty Slay do stand-up for his first time in NJ which was awesome! The owner is really friendly and funny too. They also have amazing flatbread. We will definitely be coming back!
This was our first time going to Stress Factory in New Brunswick. We went to see Tim Dillon with some friends although Id never heard of him before. It was a little delayed for the doors to open, but once they did seating process was quick and smooth. I really dont think there is a bad seat in this place, we were at the back of the line and still had a great view. All of the acts were hilarious, especially Tim Dillon, the owner even did the opening set. Very friendly, fun atmosphere with quick service and good food. We got the tickets that came with dinner and drinks and it was a fantastic deal. Will definitely be spreading the word and going back for more shows!
If it weren’t for the Waiter Swindle I would give this Club 5 stars . I have been going to this club for several years and have had a great time. Unfortunately I had a bad experience at the hands of a waiter on the 15th of February. I used a gift card to pay for food. It had $69 left on it but the waiter scanned it and told me it had only 30 whereas at the entrance the card value was already confirmed. He quickly put the card away and charged me the rest of the money. I didn’t wish to make a scene and we need those blue tickets from the waiters to leave the building. So I paid up and he kept the card with the monetary value. I have left several messages for the manager to call me back but haven’t heard from them yet. I hope they find this rat and discipline him . I feel bad that these employees can get away with such cheap behavior and give a bad name to a good and fun place.
This was my first visit to The Stress Factory in New Brunswick and it was PERFECT. The gentleman who took our tickets at the door was so personable and nice to us, and the gentleman who seated us explained all our options and helped us find the perfect table. My daughter, Emily, and I were treated so kindly by our waiter, Connor. He really did everything he could to make our first visit wonderful. He went above and beyond by offering food/drink suggestions and checking on us thru the evening. Such a professional, hard worker. The food was top notch, the club was so clean, the staff was organized, and even when they only had a few minutes to prepare for the next performance, they all were still so nice to us and didnt rush us at all! We came to see Nikki Glaser and she was terrific, and so was Andrew Collin, who opened for her. We stayed for the meet and greet and it was so worth it. I really cant thank you all enough for such a great time. Its a special memory for us, and we hope to come back again and again to your beautiful comedy club. Thank you so much!
Went for chelsea handler. Ordered a burger and fries figuring how do you screw that up. Well the secret is to cook it and let it sit for 45 minutes then bring it to my table cold.
Awesome comedy club under fantastic ownership. Come here and youre guaranteed to have a great time! Loved it!
The comedy club is tucked in between buildings in central central New Brunswick. The seating is spacious and well layout. The menu is pretty standard pub food, but found that my burger and fries were pretty good.I found the host/owner quite annoying, and the main guest that night (Rodney Laney) a bit bland. All and all an okay place to spend an evening.
My girlfriends and I was there on August 31st featuring Talent and Friends at the last minute, and it was great! We had an awesome time. I had to make myself stop laughing, my cheeks were hurting. I love it here! I work with the public everyday and I must say your customer service is excellent. Love this place and the atmosphere always has a nice vibe! I’ll be back.
Great show and atmosphere!
It was good after show I spoke to the owner for a Fundraiser I am doing in june and he said he would be interested in helping out by preforming to raise more money. That was great BESIDES watching a wonderful show.
Comedians were funny, atmosphere wasnt too bad but the food was horrible. Wings tasted old and hard and had to send back the over cooked chicken fingers because they were rock hard. Even after receiving the new batch of tenders, they tasted terrible. Curly fries where so so. Next time I will eat beforehand.
Went to see Marlon Wayans the show was good, food was good but drinks was water down They must have a new Bartender
Its a comedy club not a luxury resort. Youll have a good time all depending on who the comedian is and if theyre good that day. Remember comedy is selective so if youre easily offended dont blame the comedy club its the comedian thats just how it is its all in fun. Expect to be crammed in like sardines just like at any other Comedy Club. Yes of course alcohol is served. There also is food that you can order i.e. like curly fries or chicken strips or sandwiches. Be prepared to wait for your order for a long time so make sure you order everything you want right there and then when your server comes over because you will wait a long time for it. Try to get there early so you can have at least a decent seat. There is a large parking garage right next door but again get there early because it does fill up fast. There are plenty of restaurants nearby but most of them close early. There are plenty of bars not too far away remember this is also a college town Rutgers is right there. The service staff is great and friendly and they do their best to handle the tremendous amount of crowd that comes in at one time when the doors are open. We always have a great time when we go there. One of the best comedy clubs around.
Great comedy club, definitely a Bridgeport staple. Saw Sam Morril tonight and he was great. This place has hosted the likes of George Lopez, Rob Schneider, Anthony Jeselnik, Bill Burr and so many more greats.Great atmosphere, 2 floors, nice menu; I highly recommend coming here and keeping up to date on them, as they have great comedians here regularly.
Always a great night of laughter.
If you want to see the biggest comedic headliners while physically being in NJ this is where you go. If you hate laughter dont come here, because you will laugh like a hyena in short order. The club is in the basement of the building, and has kind of a dive bar feel to it, which many people love. One thing I really like is sometimes randomly theyll get someone thats on a really big tour leading up to a special. Tickets go on sale and are gone within minutes. We saw Chris Rock this way and he was testing new material for his special. Some jokes didnt work but it made it even funnier somehow. This is the kind of experience you cant get anywhere else (in NJ).Ive been here many times and seen some of the funniest comedians; Mitch Fatel, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, Ares Spears, Jim Breuer, Nikki Glaser to name a few.
As always a wonderful time. My husband and I always leave out in tears from laughing and cheeks hurting from smiling so hard. .. you dont always have to go far to have a great time and see a wonderful show with awesome people.. thanks as always for a great show .. cant wait for my birthday april 1st
This was the best experience Ive ever had at a comedy club. The inside was huge and check-in was organized. The place was clean and while it was packed, I didnt feel crammed. Service was excellent and drinks/food was decently priced (for a club). I had a great time and enjoyed the comic AND his opening act. Be sure to get there early for good seats.
Nice place for eat, drink and laugh a lot. Extremely good local comedians. I loved this place.
Always funny! Staff is great!
I had so much fun... the opening comedians were excellent...DL Hughley was amazing.. first time seeing him live... he looked really good and I laughed so hard.. great show..
Had a great time in this intimate club. What a cool place this was to see a big headlining comedian. We saw DL Hughley but hope to go back to see many many more.
I had a great time at the Stress Factory! When I went it was a 2 item minimum, the food was tasty and well priced. I cant wait to go back!
My experience was great. It was Ladies Night and we came there 15 deep. Our waiter, John was amazing. He took very good care of us and even let us take pictures on the stage. We came to see Jay Mohr and he is HILARIOUS!!
Not many classy comedy clubs around. Nice, intimate, good food and fun. Cant wait to return.
